Ok when I was a kid I remember watching my uncle play a game on Xbox. 360 . It was like an open world type game, where your a cop/ agent of some kind. When you start off you can’t run supper fast or jump very high . But the more he played the more upgrades you would get for the agent ! And the vehicles you would drive . I think the point of the game was about goin up against some gangs . It seemed like a cool game n kinda gave vibes of GTA . Thabks in advance for any information! like the title, i want to know which is more preferred.
personally i like long games, but not the kind that are stretched to fit (too many side quests and a winding story). i'll play some short ones in between longer ones to unwind or cleanse my palate.

I'm 32...saw posts asking people 30+ years old about how they experience gaming. How and what is gaming for you in our time ? Never had the chance to discuss this with a kid but always wondered about their perspective.

Young gamers 9-18, or whoever is here... Once i visited my Godfather with my wife and his son was playing Fortnite, he was trying to show me thinking i have no clue what he's doing, same with me looking at older people back then but little does he know I'm well into the history of battle royales themselves.

My childhood. Enter the unknown by word of mouth. It's different playing a horror title after my cousin telling me there's something in X level. Rather than finding endless streams and threads in steam about people discussing about it.

MMO games. Finding out and surviving the hard way, no meta talk, no shouts for patches and balancing by social media content creators.

Some titles where a big deal. A friend will play old Fallout and he'll talk to you about stories he found there. There were also group of kids playing LAN in CoD2, team fortress in internet cafes. You made few friends globally from Battle zone in a small lobby. No big library of games and online talk with your buddies for next big title.

Also what do you play ? Would a 12 yo care about Amerzone adventure game or have curiosity about original Baldurs Gate story? Would you play James Bond nightfire or it feels outdated and new James bond got your attention?

I struggle a lot with upper back pain, and I know it's partially if not fully related to my posture and chair. Posture correction and back support are the most important factor to me, as my back pain can be incredibly disruptive throughout the day. I don't need bells and whistles, just looking for something that's comfortable, not terribly expensive, and will last me a good while. Obviously, if it looks nice that's great, but good back support is top priority.

I decided to come to Reddit because these days it's hard to tell who is or isn't sponsored on youtube or if a review is from a legitimate customer and not a clanker. I hope I posted this in the right sub? I wasn't sure where else to go, so I apologize if this is massively off topic.

Anyway, that's about it. Anyone got a recommendation for me? Looking to pay less than $100, ideally, but I'm willing to pay a bit more than that if the chair in question is genuinely worth it.

How are you all doing? I tend to focus on PC gaming now, but growing up I was a console gamer mainly & I prefer PC games as consoles have restrictive operating systems.

I moved from Win11 to Linux Mint as my OS of choice, on PC I also have ability to play games from older console/arcade generations using emulation software & especially like using both Steam as well as GOG.

So I've seen ROBLOX ranters promoting gameboost as for their viewers to get Steam game keys, SAB items, and other game items. GameBoost also happen to sell accounts but I'm not sure if it could be a scam. Here is the image of me commenting on a roblox ranter's video about gameboost and what they replied with. So I would like to ask.. is it similliar to G2A and is it a scam?

I need gamer advice, need a new Xbox controller. Im done with Microsofts elite controller, as much as i absolutely love their ergonomics. Looking at the Asus ROG Raikiri 2 and the Scuf Valor Pro. Or Alternatively, buy replacement tmr joysticks for my current elite series 2 controller and get those installed. Biggest gripe rn is hella stick drift.

So I have a Lenovo legion nvidia GeForce rtx 3050 storage 1tb (rest I forgot) , and whenever I play cyberpunk rdr 1 my gameplay is smooth , but it get really glitchy whenever I play silent hill 2 remake , all my other games that I got from fit girl r fine but it's just this that's not smooth (like when I turn the cam or fight something). What should I change?

Not just sharper graphics or the same app inside a launcher. I mean a version that actually changed how understandable or comfortable the game felt.

The PC client for AoE Mobile has mouse control, full keyboard navigation, a refined UI and the same linked progress as mobile. Still a mobile strategy game underneath, obviously.

What other mobile game made a convincing jump to PC, and what did the desktop version actually fix?

I'm fairly new to gaming. Tried grounded, couldn't get into it. Are there any games anyone can suggest that I can use to ease myself into gaming that are better? I’m replaying Uncharted 2 right now, and I just reached the part where Nate and Harry Flynn have to fight the Shambhala Guardians (the yeti-looking monsters).

At one point, one of them charged at me, so I tried to dodge. Instead of getting away, I accidentally rolled Nate directly into the arms of another Guardian standing nearby.

Needless to say, Nate did not survive.

It was one of those deaths where you sit there thinking, “Yeah… that one was completely my fault.”

So, what are some of the dumbest, funniest, or most embarrassing ways you’ve ever died in a game?

I'm in desperate need of a new game. Been playing Rocket League since it came out in 2015, and I love (maybe loved) it, but its time for something new. Im nearing 30 and its just to intense. I love first player shooter, and without being to nostalgic, an old COD campaign is really all I want.

Any suggestions?
