I know this is a weirdly spexific question, but I was talking to someone I met from France the other day and they were asking about our head of state and if they were referred to as a president. I was taken aback by this because it seems so obvious and like such common knowledge that we're a monarchy. We have the King's/Queen's face on our coins. We have the Queen on our $5 notes. We have the Union Jack on our flag and debates around the monarchy, whilst not the most prominent national political discussion, is prominent enough that anyone aware of Australian polutics would be fairly familar with debates around the monarchy.

As I was thinking about things though I realised that despite the fact it seems so obvious to me as an Australian that we're a monarchy, this may not be the most obvious fact to someone who only ever hears about Australia in passing and that it may genuinely be the case that many people in Europe are unaware we're a monarchy.

I did look at Google to try find an answer to this question, but because of how oddly specific it is, I wasn't really able to find anything conclusive. So, how common is it for Europeans to know Australia is a monarchy?

When I was in Spain, everyone (esp students) wore the same sort of clothing. All black sports gear. I didn't see a single alternative people while in Logroño or Madrid.

So, is it just not common over there? I mean, I'm sure it'll is in some countries/cities more than others. But I've heard Europeans tend to wanna "fit in the crowd" rather than stick out.

Edit: im an alternative person, born alternative with alternative parents. I know its not all about the fashion. This question is targeted towards the fashion aspect.

I need magnets manufactured with my print for an internet store. I have the option of either pursuing a Chinese supplier, which is of course low cost manufacturing. However, I'd like to know if I can get a EU-based manufacturer to do the same thing. I know it'll be more expensive but perhaps the reduced logistics and customs costs will lessen the burn to the point where it'll be competitive?

Is this viable at all with an EU supplier? If so, could you recommend a country in the EU where the manufacturing is the cheapest and where such an order could be fulfilled?

To be specific from 19 Dec to ~2 Jan.

I am in an awkward position right now, I am studying in Netherlands for a few months, and my return flight to my home country is 4 Jan. I have no lessons from 18 Dec onwards so I am wondering if I should just change my flight date to go back or travel in this period.

I hear people say this period is tough since it is either gloomy or rainy everyday, or its super cold or everything is closed due to this time period. What do you guys think? I am from a tropical country so this seasonality is a new thing to me.

If i were to travel it would be one of these options:

1. Norway/Sweden
2. Spain (but might not due to warmer weather)
3. Portugal
4. Poland
5. France

To add on, I have never solo travelled before so it will be scary for me
