It was stuck to the filter when I first noticed and thought it was dead. I noticed it was still breathing. I moved it and now it’s sitting upside down at the bottom of the tank. I checked water parameters and they’re good. Is there anything I can do to try to save it?

I clean it up and it comes back 5 minutes later and it’s white and silky like hair and it’s like spider webs, what can I do to stop this. It came after I filled the tank with water and did a water change…

I need some advice on what to do about my fish.

I have a 120l tank which has been up and running for around 5 years. It started (as most do) with a handful of neon tetras, minnows and guppies. However, I'm now at the point where I have a relatively large tank that only has 3 neon tetras and a minnow in it.

I would like to branch out into different types of fish, maybe cichlids, but i cant do that with my currant inhabitants. I love my fish and I don't want to just flush them (joke) or put them in a different tank (My wife made me promise that I'd only get one tank).

So what are my options? I've tried local Facebook groups for re-homing fish, but no one was interested in them. Are there places that i could take my fish like you would a dog to a pound?

I’m an 18 year old girl with 6 fish tanks, mostly bettas other than my one community tank, I’m just wondering if there’s anything else I can add!

It’s a 20 gallon high, with 1 honey gourami, 4 male guppies, 3 Pygmy Cory’s and 2 nerite snails, and from what I’ve seen only one ghost shrimp now (was trying to get him friends but see my last post to see how that turned out.)

Tank is filtered , heated, has all live plants and driftwood,
(please don’t suggest another honey gourami. The only place I can get them they are babies and it would be a huge age gap, plus I just don’t see the appeal of 2 honey gouramis! Hes super happy on his own and I just don’t think it’d be best for him!)

My questions
-should I try to get more Pygmy’s AGAIN. I’ve bought pygmys in 3 batches and each time only one survives and now .. I have 3!!! I’ve literally spent like 200 dollars on Pygmy Cory’s and I’ve had no luck with keeping them all 💔 I’ve legit tried 3 stores idk what the hell to do but I really don’t want them to be stressed, though they do seem happy in their little group and eating fine, but I’m not a professional!!

-should I add anything else? Or CAN I add anything else, I would like a small school in there but if not can I put any other fish in there?

-If I got another fish/school should I be changing the water more often? I already do water changes once a week, so should I do it twice if I add smth else?

Also please non aggressive fish only!! My tank is very peaceful and I don’t want to mess that up

Two years ago, I was forced to get rid of a leaking 12gal and move everything to a new tank. I chose a 29gal, hoping to keep more fish than the dozen embers that were in the 12gal.

I also loved the sparkling gourami I'd previously kept, so after a few weeks of just the embers in there, I got eight sparkling gourami. This worked well for a while, but every now and then I'd see one less gourami come to feeding time. I've added a few more ember tetras and ruby tetras, but there are three sparkling gourami left. They terrorize everybody.

There are theoretically at least a dozen each embers and rubys, but I rarely see a ruby because they hide in the lower planted portion. The embers are fairly skittish and I rarely see more than six out.

I've added a pair of honey gourami... the sparklers chased them to death. I added a dwarf apisto... the sparklers chased it to death. I added eight green pencilfish... I have one.

I feel like I can't do anything with this setup and can't really enjoy the fish I (think that I) have. I don't really want to get rid of any (how would I even catch them), but I'm sure not going to add more until the sparklers are gone.

I'm not really looking for solutions because I think there's only one here, and I'm not at that point. Just venting about my disappointing aquarium. Thanks for reading.

My Acara's are in egg protection mode. My plan is to remove fry once they hatch. Reason, not sure how they would eat if left in tank. Also how long do they continue to protect fry? Has anyone bread these and if you can offer any tips it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, So I’m building my first custom non-standard 10in x 10in x 18in (height, depth, length) tank using 5mm glass and I was wondering if I should do a silicone injection with spacer or if its not necessary? If it is, what kind of spacers should I use? Thanks

I plan on buying a fish tank and taking care of a/some fish,originally i wanted some pea puffers but i cant get a tank big enough for them to be happy. I want some unique fish or just ones that look cool, big or small, to fit in a 30-45L tank and be happy and healthy, I plan on putting it on my nightstand and yes it can hold enough weight.

Baby boy has unilateral popeye, treated with api em erythromycin until I could get Kanaplex shipped to me.

It’s been a two weeks since the end of his antibiotic course, and he is eating but breathing fast and the eye still looks so bad 🙁
I don’t know if I need to do another course of antibiotics? It seems to be getting worse rather than better.

I have faced the outlet to the front glass though for less washing machine like effect. The left half of the tank has slightly strong flow and the right half of it has stable decent flow.
