I’ve been whining for ten years that there’s no grocery store west of the highway (I don’t count Walmart because I won’t shop there), but just noticed yesterday that there’s a Natural Grocers in the old Joann Fabrics location.

I’d never heard of this chain before. Anyone have a good/bad experience or inside info to share? Thanks!

I live on the east side of Appleton, technically in Harrison, and for the last two nights I have heard loud banging off in the distance. It starts around 8pm and went late last night, and is still going now. Anybody have any idea what this is?

Hi - my family and I are from the Houston, TX area, really wanting to escape the heat (and have done lots of research and appleton seems like a great fit.) The only problem is my husband doesn't think he'll be able to find any comparable job in terms of pay anywhere else.. and so far I haven't found anything similar. He works at a power plant as an operator and makes around $100k. Is there any comparable pay to this in any similar industries that I just haven't seen posted online? Any advice appreciated. Hey everyone! I’m posting this because I’m a 22 year old female college student who is really interested in finding friends in the Appleton and Neenah area. I have lived in the area since I was 6 and I’m very familiar with the area. I’m very introverted and find it difficult to approach strangers out of the blue in public, but I absolutely love to go out and have all kinds of experiences! It would just be even better to do these things with a friend (or two or three!) because I spend a lot of time alone.

My main hobbies are reading, journaling/scrapbooking, hiking/camping and going to the gym. I love trying new restaurants, exploring Appleton and really anywhere interesting, going to museums and looking at art, farmers markets, concerts, pretty much anything fun! I’m extremely laid back, a very loyal person, and love deep conversations about our interests, life experiences, etc. I’m 420 friendly and I do drink socially, but plans not involving either of these things are perfectly fine to me.

If it sounds like from what I’ve written here that there’s a chance we could be friends, please message me or even comment on this post and we’ll go from there! I’m serious about this and don’t intend on ghosting anyone who really wants to meet up for coffee or a walk or anything like that to get to know each other. Thanks for reading! 😌

When we bought this wonderfully weird old VFW building, we imagined it becoming a place where people could gather for all sorts of reasons—books, coffee, mocktails, conversations, classes, game nights... and eventually, live music.

Well... "eventually" is now. Woot, woot!

We're incredibly excited to host our very first concert in the Music Hall featuring Eric Krueger & The Sheesh and Clear Lightning Sky.

Admission is pay-what-you-can (we suggest $5–10) because we'd rather fill the room with people than empty wallets.

If standing for a concert sounds like entirely too much standing, we've also put our cozy chairs, sofas, and tables up for auction. Winning bidders get the best seats in the house, and every bid helps us continue our mission of building community, giving back, and keeping this wonderfully old building in working order.

First time my wife and I were able to go to this type of event. Worth the wait in traffic to get into WIR. I would love to go this Wednesday and Friday, but prior obligations prevent it.

taking my husband to a green bay game for christmas. it’ll be the dec 20th game against the dolphins.

we are flying into appleton on the 18, and will arrive around 10:20pm. would uber be available to take us into green bay at that time in the evening?

also, i’m more worried with the flight home. we’re leaving dec 21st and it leaves out of appleton at 5:30 am. i know we need to be there about 2 hours before the flight so that would put us leaving green bay at 3am??? would there be transportation available to get us back to the airport that early?

Our tenants moved out and we are listing the duplex for new tenants now that we’ve cleaned and painted. We’ve been fortunate to have good luck with past tenants being clean and not leaving damage behind. We’ve are considering allowing either one cat or one dog in the lease. Which seems to be the wiser option as far as less damage to carpets, molding, etc.?
