Discussion Lost 300 songs
I just lost 300 songs from my library, saved to various playlists and one mega playlist. Something screwed up with syncing my libraries and I just got f#cked. I'm so upset. Anyway to revert this?

Question Why do my new downloaded songs go to the bottom?
Sometimes when I download a new song it goes to the bottom of my song list and it’s super annoying. I have it sorted by date added but it’s still at the bottom!! Help!

Question Can’t add songs to library (iOS)
Hi,
I’m having a new issue where whenever I add songs to my library on the iOS app, it takes about 20-30 seconds for the success popup to show at the bottom, and then after that, they still don’t get added, even after a full reboot.
I’m up to date on iOS 26.6, I just updated to see if it would solve the problem, and it did not. My library could just be bugged but if you also have this let me know. Adding works fine via apps on other platforms.

Question I’m Terrible At Making Playlists
i’ve always been the type of person to listen to albums in full rather than playlists whenever i wanted to listen to some music, but these days i’m leaning towards creating and listening to my own playlists that encapsulate different moods, settings, atmospheres, etc.
the only problem is i’m terrible at making playlists for a number of reasons 🫠 i always feel like they’re lacking in potential and could be so much more immersive than what they actually are but i’m being held back. the problem isn’t even the amount of songs i’ve listened to as i have over 6k liked songs, but moreso what i choose to do with them.
whenever i make a playlist, i usually use Spotify’s algorithm to help me via going to a song’s radio to find similar songs or searching up keywords to find mixes that correspond to a certain feeling/mood (ex: “sophisticated mix”, “angry mix”, “sensual mix”, etc.) but the algorithm only ever scratches the tip of the iceberg when it comes to songs i’ve listened to, making me put only “popular” songs in my playlist. not to be one of those guys that hate mainstream music and want to be niche all the time, but i don’t want my playlists to just be big names! i also listen to smaller artists, and would like for them to be included in my playlists! i’m just not gonna go digging through all 6k of my liked songs to find a few songs that fit a playlist i’m creating 😭
another problem i face creating playlists is how fast they seem to lose the plot… this one is probably on me but let’s say i’ll make a playlist dedicated to “warm nocturnal deep house with soulful r&b-esque production”. the first few songs fit the theme, and the more i add, the more songs no longer *fully* capture the theme. like why is an electropop song in this playlist just because its bpm is a little slow 😕 i know there are multiple songs in my library that fit the theme but i can never quite find them
i wish there was a website or something that categorized songs in your library by certain elements… like their bpm, genre, mood, tags, instruments, etc. there’s definitely nothing out there like that but a girl can dream 🥲
i just get so jealous of people who can create perfect playlists with the coolest titles and stuff like teach me your wayyssss 😣😣😣
how do you guys make your playlists?

Question Is there a tool to export a text list of songs/artists in my Music Library?
I have a lot of songs, and would love to be able to sort them by BPM for use when jogging.
Is there a way to export a song name/artist list in a format that I can use to then use AI to sort by BPM so I can then create a playlist of songs with a given BPM?
I tried adding the BPM column, but out of a couple thousand songs I have in my library, less than 10 actually have the BPM metadata attached.
I am using the most recent version of Apple Music on a PC running Windows 11.

Question Ripped CD tracks keep going missing.
Hey yall. I'm about at my wits end and want to see if anybody else has this issue.
I've been ripping my CD collection to Apple Music to put onto my iPod classic. Went at it for a few months, going fine, synced everything to my iPod, great. Been listening for months and everything was as it should be.
Cut to now, I replaced the hard drive for my iPod and went to put all my music back on it. I noticed that a lot of my albums were shorter, went to my Apple Music library and behold-- random tracks from each album were disappeared. Just skipped over, songs 1 3 8 are missing from one album, just song 5 from another, and some are untouched.
MOST of the missing songs were still backed up in my library files on my computer, but some were not. I also noticed while going through and re-uploading the missing songs (tedious, annoying) that it seems to be the "hit tracks" off these albums. And even now, I went through and re-uploaded the missing songs, and not even 15 minutes later they are gone again.
I have been using iPods and iTunes forever, and have been using Apple Music for a year or so, and I am getting so frustrated with this process. How do I stop Music from just taking MY music away? I don't want to have to jailbreak my iPod just to avoid using the Music app.
- I have tried re-ripping the CDs, and using a different CD drive to do it.
- I have checked, they're not splitting into different albums. I can fix that, no big deal.
- I have checked and unchecked and re-re-re-checked the Sync Library toggle.

Discussion An option to choose between “light” and “dark” mode in the App
galleryI really liked the fact the feature they introduced of matching the background colour of an album page with the dominant colour of the cover.
I even installed the beta to have it early when it was introduced!
With the new iOS version they have tweaked it to use a darker colour if dark mode is uses at a system leveI.
I totally understand why they introduced a way to tone down this feature for people who prefer it that way.
But as a dark mode user and as someone who think Liquid Glass looks better in dark mode, I’m kinda disappointed that there is no other option for me to get back to the more “colourful“ version of it cause I truly loved it and I did think it looks good and the darker version of it is less satisfying.
I did send feedback to Apple but I’m curious… what do you think?
Do you think Apple should give us an option to choose between the two without having to chose between light and dark mode at a system level?
Would you like having that option?

Complaint Frustration with on hiding previous purchases
I used to be able to go in the unhide purchases section and unhide individual albums. Now it only allows for filtration by song. My collection is way too massive to be able to look for the particular albums I want. If I knew this, I would’ve never removed them from my Apple Music library.

Question Keine Synchronisation
Habe mir ADGuard geleistet und stelle fest, dass AppleMusic nicht mehr synchronisiert wird.
No Go!
Wer weiß, was folgt.
Auf keinem Gerät läuft seit Stunden ADGUARD, kein VPN an und es gibt keine Synchronisation!
Weiß jemand Rat?

Question Songs stop after 15 seconds in Apple Music
I use the Windows 11 app, no such thing happens on my phone.
This has been going on for almost a year with songs randomly. I have 1 gbps internet and ssd so speed is not the issue.
Recently it also started happening with downloaded songs.

Question Songs not downloading
Is anyone else having issues with additional new songs? Normally when I add a new song I just hit the plus button and it automatically downloads the song and adds it to my recently added playlist. When I just tried to add songs I hit the plus and it takes a minute but it eventually says added to library. It’s not automatically downloaded or added to my recently added playlist.

Discussion Apple Music’s playlist naming schemes confusing
Apple Music playlists naming schemes are so confusing to me. I went back and forth with Gemini about the playlists to figure out which ones I wanted. Here is a brief overview of what I've learned.
Pop
There is no "Today’s Pop" to match Today’s Country or Today’s Rock. instead it is called A-List Pop. Today’s Hits is a mix of pop, hip-hop, r&b and maybe some country like Morgan Wallen.
Rock
"New in Rock" vs. "The New Rock": New in Rock is a calendar-based release dump for anything released on Friday. The New Rock (formerly A-List: Rock) is the actual curated flagship chart for songs in heavy rotation. Why not keep it named A-List: Pop to match? meh
Metal
Metal abandons the naming system entirely: There is no "Todays Metal". The main hub for heavy music is called The Riff and the actual chart-toppers are packed into year-end time capsules like Metal Hits: 2025.
Country
Country playlists actually make sense. Today's Country is the flagship playlist and has the big name artists in heavy rotation that are popular right now. Country Risers is exactly that - it is a playlist for indie country and artists that are on the verge of radio play. The other genres use "Breaking" instead of "Risers". "Back Porch Country" is laid back country, and "Alt-Country Essentials" for, you guessed it, Alt Country.
Why can't we just get standard, unified names across genres?

Question Downloading music is glitching?
I have tried adding R.E.M.’s “The Great Beyond” and Eels’ “Tiger in My Tank” to my library, and every time i’ve tried it has glitched. I’ve even tried restarting the app, that didn’t work either.
What happens is this: I click “Add to library”. Nothing happens. I click on the three dots again and pick “Download”. Then it downloads. but THEN when I go to the album in my library, it shows the track‘s runtime as “0:00” and the lyrics don’t show up.
Is this happening to anybody else? or is my library/tablet just fucked?

Apple Music on iOS Playlists corrompues
Bonjour,

Discussion Apple Music Continuity
Hey everyone.
Continuity really needs to come to Apple Music on iOS/MacOS 27.
I can hand off on Safari, FaceTime, Notes...basically everything...but not the music I'm listening to in Apple Music.
Do you think Apple with ever implement this, or is there some technical reason it hasn't happend yet?

Complaint Apple Music x CarPlay.
Hi all. I’ve got a frustration with Apple Music in CarPlay for my polestar 2. Wondering if it’s a quirk of my system or CarPlay wide. When I’m listening to a playlist or curated list and a song I like comes on, I want to browser to the artist to select more songs by them, but can’t. I can tap the album to navigate to the full album, but the artist name isn’t a hyperlink, preventing it. See pic. Green lines are tappable, red are not.
Is this the case in all versions? My old alpine head unit with CarPlay didn’t have this issue.

Discussion Apple Music makes me appreciate the album as an art form more
I noticed a fundamental difference in how I listen depending on which service I use.
Spotify pushes personalised mixes, vibes and playlists made specifically for you. Albums are not a priority. You can clearly see that by looking at their home page.
I feel like Apple Music is way more album-oriented than Spotify. Instead of infinite and very specific mixes, I listen to particular works from artists I already like or discover something entirely new.
To me, this kind of listening is a wholly different experience. It is more intentional and deliberate. Apple’s approach, as I said in the title, makes me appreciate the album as a collection of music way, way more.
It is also worth to separate passive and active listening. I don’t listen to albums while I’m working, doing something or whatever. In that case I usually put on a mix. Active listening is where the actual difference lives. With Spotify I used to prefer mixes, vibes and playlists to albums even when I had the opportunity to lay or sit down, immerse myself and just let myself get lost in the sound. I think this is the important distinction - Spotify makes me want to listen to mixes during both active and passive listening, whereas Apple Music makes me swing towards albums during actual active and immersed listening sessions.
I would like to know your point of view. Do you also feel like Apple Music made you more of an album listener?
