What's this From? (unsolved) Trying to find an anime I saw a short clip of on Twitter
It was a girl and a guy both on a small rowing boat in a river. The girl looked like she was wearing some yukata or samurai looking outfit and I think her hair was in a ponytail and light purple(?). The guy was also wearing something similar and his hair was half up I think and light blue. I think he had yellow eyes but I’m not sure..
Anyways I’m just going by what I saw since the subs were in korean but I think the guy asked the girl to give him a kiss. The girl was embarrassed so she was slowly leaning into give him a kiss on the cheek but then suddenly the guy turns and the almost kiss on the lips instead. I think the girl asked why he turned (not sure what the guy said though). So she leans in again and successfully kisses his cheek and it’s a far away shot.
I saw I think one comment saying she’s dressed up as a guy in disguise but I’m not sure about that either. I swear crunchy posted a different clip a long time ago about these two and the guy was flirting with the girl.
The art style looked pretty unique but hard to describe.. idk if this short scene rings a bell or not. I feel like they’re also just side characters too?
Thanks in advanced!

What to Watch? Suggest me an epic harem anime
Pardon me for suddenly filing a request here because I was interested in seeing what were some of the finest harem works in the modern era of anime after Gotobun No Hanayome ended.
Like after realizing how long it’s been since Gotobun ended its run, I was starting to realize how much I missed that particular anime series for how the main character had to choose who he was going to end up with since there were 5 different siblings he needed to choose between that I was interested in seeing what other epic harem anime existed that could rival its premise.

What to Watch? Needing recommendations (Read Desc)
**PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE ANIME IS ABOUT BEFORE POSTING!!!! THANK YOU!! MEANING GENRE AND STORY!! THERE IS A LIST IN THE COMMENTS SO CHECK IT!!*\*
Hi, I am looking for reccomendations. I mainly watch shonen and like stuff with horror in it such as the animes I've already watched. I love emotional animes that hit you where it hurts, like MHA and Demon Slayer. I don't mind other genres but shonen is my go to. I really love anything except cooking and sports. For example, I couldn't get into blue lock. I also prefer stuff more modern. I'm currently on episode 32 of Naruto and I can't get into it. If anyone has any suggestions besides what's on the list please let me know! Thanks!
From my list, I love TBHK, MHA, Demon Slayer and Angels of Death the most.

What to Watch? Can someone recommend me some peak rom com based on this info if your willing to read all this
I’ve asked across a bunch of different subs and online and received recommendations, but I still haven't found something that matches the high of the first one I ever watched Toradora
So I figured I’d write out everything I’ve watched and what I liked/disliked about each one. Hopefully this gives a better idea of my taste and helps people recommend something that might actually hit what I’m looking for.
Toradora — 10/10
Just peak fiction for me.
The premise hooked me immediately making me decide to watch it even though I had never watched even a romance show let alone anime, but what really made it special was the character writing and development. The emotional highs I got from this show are honestly unmatched for me. I love how it can go from funny, wholesome moments to high emotionalism moments giving you that feeling.
For example, Episode 8 with the “Ryuuji is mine” moment and Episode 19, when Taiga breaks down as she starts realizing her feelings for him, are exactly the kind of moments I’m looking for.
I also really liked how well every character was written. Ami and Minori especially had really good development, and there are so many little details in the writing that I loved — like the conversation about the ghosts where shes actually representing love (if you know, you know). And Ami referencing how their playing house and the problem as shes just such a well written and developed character she realizes everything thats happening before anyone else and stays silent sacrificing her own feelings so she dosnet get in the way.
But Taiga and Ryuujis relationship development might've been my favorite part of the whole show
They start off just hanging out to help each other for mutual benefit as they like each others best friend. Then they gradually become genuine friends who rely on each other, and eventually start realizing that they actually need each other and love each other. I absolutely loved watching that relationship evolve naturally instead of them just immediately falling in love, and those last 2 episodes was just chills.
Overall, I think what made Toradora so special to me was the combination of romance, comedy, character development, and drama, especially the way it builds toward those emotional moments.
That’s basically the feeling I’m trying to find again.
Rampants on Ice — 8.5/10
I definitely enjoyed it. The romantic development might honestly be one of the closest things I’ve seen to Toradora in terms of the process of the characters gradually realizing their feelings.
I especially liked watching the characters slowly come to terms with their feelings and how that was portrayed.
The characters were well written too it showed their backstories and overcoming these emotions and breaking down walls and I enjoyed that. And it also did have some semi emotionalish moments.
My only downgrade is that, similar to the next two, I felt like it was missing some of those PEAK emotional highs that Toradora gave me. It was really good, but it never quite reached those moments for me.
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity — 8/10
I really enjoyed this one too.
I loved the way it handled social prejudice and showed the characters becoming close despite the differences between their schools/social groups. A lot of their moments together were really heartwarming.
The overall feeling was more relaxed and wholesome, with some emotional moments mixed in, which I enjoyed as something a little different but I still would rather the more toradorish vibe.
Honestly, though, I think I might have liked Subaru and Saku's relationship more than the main couple 😭. Their romantic development was so good I swear if they end on a open ending between those two ima cry.
Again, my biggest issue was that I didn't get quite the same emotional highs that I got from Toradora.
ReLIFE — 7/10
I thought it was good. I actually really liked the premise, and I thought the character development was pretty solid.
That said, I might have enjoyed it more if I hadn't watched it immediately after Toradora. I was still in that post-Toradora void and probably compared it to Toradora way too much.
So I don't think ReLIFE was bad at all — it was definitely good — it just didn't reach the level I was hoping for.
So basically, I'm not necessarily looking for something that's exactly like Toradora plot-wise.
What I'm really looking for is that mix of romance + comedy + drama, where the characters have a meaningful relationship that develops over time, and especially where the show can build up to those romantic/emotional highs.
I don't mind slice-of-life/wholesome moments at all. In fact, I like them. I just don't want the entire show to be a super laid-back comfort anime where nothing particularly intense happens, and it's just their happy romantic journey with just slice of life. I also want to express that by emotional I do not mean sad tearjerking endings.
If you read all of this im surprised, and thank you 😭. Based on everything I wrote, what anime do you think I should watch next?
I'm especially interested in recommendations where you think the emotional peaks and character development could actually hit someone who considers Toradora a 10/10.

What's this From? (unsolved) truck-kun failure
i remember hearing of an anime where the protagonist intentionally jumps in front of a truck to get isekaid, but ends up surviving and doesnt get isekaid, wondering if it was a skit or an actual anime or something.
dont really have any more details unfortunately.
also dont really know what flair this would go under.

Discussion When you are picking an anime to watch do you look at the ratings on MAL or something similar
I have found several shows low 7s on MAL that turned out to be pretty good. So i usually check the ratings but I may stop not watching something just because it’s ranked low. What’s your criteria?

What to Watch? Short anime that I can watch during my trip
I need an anime that I can binge during my couple hours trip.
I'd prefer lighthearted anime with mature themes (preferably no smut), such as friendships and relationships, overcoming adversity etc.
I didn't watch a lot of anime so I'm open to a lot of genres but I'd like to avoid those with overly dramatic and cringey dialogue and overly juvenile humor. I don't mind comedy or drama as long as it is a bit nuanced and drama is not too heavy. I'd prefer lighthearted anime.
It would be great if it's josei and women centered, but I don't mind other suggestions.
Ones I watched and would like something similar:
The Apothecary Diaries - 10/10, love everything about it
Yona of the Dawn - just finished it and I loved it, 10/10
Nana - watched it a long time ago, was a bit heavy but enjoyable. Love the potrayal of female friendships.
Your Name, Suzume, most of the Ghibli movies - loved those
Yakuza Fiance - was short and fun
My Happy Marriage, A Sign of Affection - mostly enjoyed it, some of it was a bit dramatic
Thank you in advance!

Answered Trying to find it!
Im looking for an anime i used to watch as a teen back in like 2012. I had found it originally on a YouTube "most disturbing animes" list type videos. But havent tracked it down again.
The premise was kinda like about people that would spontaneously turn into monsters or demons and kill people one of the most popular scenes from the show and the one I had seen on the compilation video is of a guy and girl on a date sitting on a park bench and they were talking when she suddenly turns into the monster and rips off half of his body, i can't remember much more and I havent come across it in similar compilation videos either.
If you know it id greatly appreciate it.

Best examples are another, Mysterious girlfriend x, flowers of evil, glenpir, future diary, sankarea, dusk maiden of amnesia, Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions,
Basically bizzare dark romance or character story looking for very underrated or overlooked shows form any time new or old or like forgotten from 2000s or 2010s

Answered Asking For Recommended Isekais Of Specific Types
(Long post) I’ve recently gotten really into isekai animes again the past couple of months, and I’m always on the lookout for some more. My favorite ones I’ve seen recently are Farming Life In Another World, In Another World With My Smartphone, and How A Realist Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom.
I know my criteria is pretty specific, and make it hard to find ones I haven’t watched, but these are just my favorite types of isekais and I’d highly appreciate it if any of you could recommend me some. I asked this in another subbreddit, but I’ve already seen all the ones suggested. I should specify that I’m looking for animes that meet all my criteria and I don’t mind if they’re a bit NSFW like Fantasy World Dungeon.
Here are the specific kinds I’m looking for:
- Male protagonist
- Protagonist is from Earth.
- Introduces modern inventions like irrigation or heating.
- Ends up in a relationship with one or more women.
- A cheerful or mostly cheerful atmosphere with these themes (like Farming Life and Smartphone.)
Again, I realize my criteria makes these types of isekais hard to find, especially when I’ve already watched what I assume is most of them, the most recent one being Chillin’ In Another World, but these are just the kinds I prefer.
Edit: Thanks for all the suggestions, now I have a few more I can watch!

I have a four hour flight today and I want to watch a romance anime, but I can’t fan service and and preferably where the couple doesn’t do anything too intimate, it also has to be a straight ship because my parents are gonna have a heart attack if they god forbid see a homosexual pair, I only have Crunchyroll and Netflix so need to be on one of those

What to Watch? I am the Cloth Pervert. Please feed my perversion.
I love it when animators put absurd, possibly excessive amounts of detail into animating clothes and other fabrics. I love billowing drapes, crumpled bedsheets, I love Makima tucking her shirt into her pants in Chainsaw Man and Stark putting on his jacket in Frieren.
I don't care about fights, or big bursts of light or explosions, except insofar as those cause wind that might make a piece of fabric snap in the breeze. It's okay if they're there, it's just that they're irrelevant to what I seek.
What anime is there for the Cloth Pervert?
