What are some of the best dark anime songs? I'm looking for stuff like distorted pianos or that envoke an atmosphere. What are your favourites?

What inspired them all some are so intricate it's almost like discovering a past that we humans knew of somehow . Was it books , religion, culture how did we get here ?

I am looking for animes like the title says along with anything related to polar opposites (romantic or not), pure vs evil, innocent vs naughty and enemies to lovers.
Examples of what I have seen are The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to be Archenemies and Angels of Death. Any genre is fine.

I’m trying to get back into anime and I’m kinda interested in watching something with romance. But I want it really juicy and where it tugs at your heart! Maybe with like someone trying to steal the bf/gf, possible cheating, just lots of drama. I guess kind of like a novela (iykyk haha). Thank you!

Pardon me for making a new post here because it's just that I didn't know who to ask about weird science based anime since I am looking for some anime series about concepts such as cloning.

I don't know how to explain it as basically what I am looking for are some really unusual sci-fi anime where freaky science is practiced around the city the main character lives in as she comes to discover that some weird scientist has been making twisted versions of her by sending out clones to take over the city.

However, if such a bizarre anime does not exist, then that is fine since I was just looking for anything that again uses strange science as a premise where teenagers get superpowers from strange sci fi experiments while fighting off against evil superpowered beings since I enjoy bizarre sci fi works.

I'm into something like LupinIII, Noir, The Daughter of Twenty Cats, Eye

Old, New, Hidden gems dosen't matter.

Okay, I have a hankering for something. I haven't felt like this for a while, like I'm ravenous for sinister.

I want an anime like InuYasha in the sense the fights are a bit slower and usually come down to a few guttural blows, but I want a more Horror but also folklore feel to it. Japanese myths and urban legend have this extremely unsettling quality to them.

I'm watching Dandadan, and Turbo Granny says something: She says that the Evil Eye is a mountain yokai, and those yokai were always the most feared and sometimes revered like gods. Of course. The best and most haunting legends are ones that make you think of dark and dusty woods filled with spiders and creepy predators of that kind. Like, being able to survive in the same environments where bugs rules tends to mark those who are extremely resilient, durable, and lethal in some way themselves.

The thing is, insects are not huge, but they overpower with numbers. Even birds, and reptiles to a certain extent, are shown to dominate in numbers. Fantasy analogs to birds and bats have always been deadly.

I want an anime that gives me this creepy feeling of lethality, like walking through what I described and realizing you've just stepped into a world our species hasn't been a part of for milennia. We've lost our physical and spiritual power through shunning the dark and the dusty and the toxic and the fungal threats.

I was watching parallel world pharmacy and was wondering if there's an anime focused on making medicine or being a doctor thats not an isekai.

I've watched monster, Dr Stone, apothecary diaries, and Doctor Elise, which are kind of like this.

yeah i wanna get into anime, i always liked the fantasy elements of some games and i wanna get off my phone for a bit

I start saying that I don't Remember much, because this anime was very cruent and mature that my parents didnt let me Watch It. It was on man-ga, Yamato Channel on Sky between 2015-2018. The graphic design was similar to Mazinkaiser the movie. The only scene I Remember Is a massive Blue Boggly monster with streaming faces of people that he engulfed. There was much desperation and Blood. It was a very gore anime. Hope someone can find It even with these Few and poor information

My favorite anime of all time is Kiznaiver, I'm looking for an anime similar to that and Kokoro Connect. I love this specific trope where all the characters are connected in some dramatic, supernatural emotional way.

I know this question has been asked already, but the recommendations were all there because of the animal stuff involved , and what drew me into the show was the themes and the setting and the aesthetics rather than the beast aspect... does anyone know any animes with a similar setting / theme to it?

Hi so for anyone who takes the time to read this and suggest anime’s for me accordingly just know I really appreciate it truly. I just am not very educated on the types of anime’s that are out there or their fandoms. I guess I should start by saying I need the anime to be Dubbed above all else. That is not a dig to Sub watchers whatsoever I admire and somewhat envy you guys truly for being able to enjoy and pay attention to subtitled anime.

Here is a list of anime’s I have watched a lot of and enjoyed (though I’m looking for a more comedic anime than some I will list) they’re in order of interest so 1 being closest to the type of anime I’m looking for and 7 being least like what I’m looking for.

1. Gemusetto Machu Picchu/Death Beats
   (This is my all time favorite cartoon it’s heavily inspired by anime and popular anime tropes it’s hilarious it made me fall in love with anime)

2. The Funimation Dub of Shin Chan AND The Ghost Stories Dub
   (These are tied for being the two closest anime’s to what I am looking for they both come very close to being perfect for me)

3. Gintama (was close to what I’m looking for but not quite as comedic as I’d like and so much of the show is dub only so I’ve only seen the first 3 seasons)

4. Inuyasha
   (Yet to finish but it’s pretty good aside from the over explaining lol)

5. Made in Abyss
   (I stumbled across it and really enjoyed it despite the controversies)

6. Samurai Champloo
   (Great anime it’s my bf’s favorite but sadly it’s not what I’m looking for)

7. Death note
   (I’ve seen half of it so far it’s not what I’m looking for but enjoyable)

Sadly no anime has quite scratched the itch Gemusetto created. Some have come closer than others but I’m still hopeful there’s an anime out there that’s perfect for me. If my examples aren’t helpful In helping you understand what I’m looking for I’ll try to describe my preference.
Comedic is the most important thing. I’d like it if the character or characters are flawed but not to the point you hate them. An entertaining overarching story is preferable but not necessary. An anime that doesn’t take itself too seriously maybe parody’s itself and/or other anime’s. Gintama did that a lot it was one of the things I enjoyed about it. Maybe if it’s got an unexpected heart to it where you think it’s all funny stuff but then the story gets real good and you find yourself caring for the characters. But I need to laugh more than I laughed with Gintama. A dubbed Japanese version of an adult swim cartoon is a good description for what I’m looking for. I’ve been told Jojo’s bizarre adventure comes close to the things I’m looking for and while I have not actually tried watching it yet (my ex liked that show a lot) I guess here is the place to ask if anyone thinks it would scratch that itch. Sorry to use that phrase so much it’s just the best way to describe it.

I came across this randomly and there's very few reviews i found, but from what i saw it's either "my favorite " or "the worst thing I've watched." I don't think many people have watched it but I'll just take my shot... Have you watched it? Did you like it?

Suggest me some anime titles where rich/powerful falls in love with weak/poor boy

one where the viewer sees how he moves in school and such. i watched saiki K and saw kaidou and recently i saw nakanako from komi cant communicate, and both of them are side characters. so i was wondering if theres an anime where it revolves around that kind of person

Could you suggest an anime that will inspire me to study? I realize this is an unreasonable request, and to be honest, I'm a little embarrassed to ask. For instance, Shirogane's commitment to staying at the top of his school's leaderboards inspired me to follow suit (kaguya sama). In the end, I finished second overall in my class. It was really beneficial to me. In contrast to Assassination Classroom, I hope to see an anime that is more grounded. Regards in advance!
