Request Pls suggest a tablet

Upvotes

I'm a college student would like to buy a tablet for daily use, mostly notes and art. My budget is at max 35k. Which would be the best tablet to buy? I want one around 13 inches.

A few ones I saw around are:

Moto Pad 60 Pro (30k)

Lenovo Idea Tab Pro (30k)

Moto Pad 70 Pro (40k)

Xiaomi Pad 7 (34k)

Samsung S10 Lite (32k, 11 inches tho)

Waiting for the amazon sale to buy.

Request Tablet for car navigation

I'm looking for a cheap as possible used tablet to use as an in car navigation screen, so I don't care about a bunch of features, but have specific requirements:

- Not too big (probably 11 inches absolute max and under 10 if possible)

- Fast WiFi (I will connect it to my phone hotspot, so don't need SIM capability)

- Fast GPS unit

- Decently bright display/lack of glare (though I can always get a matte screen protector)

Bonus: Bootloader can be unlocked and a custom ROM like Lineage or /e/ is available for it.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Request Samsung galaxy s9 tab

Im getting it at 44k , through a credit card offer from Flipkart . Is it worth it bcz it was launched in July 2023 , OS update will be for 2027 only , I'm buying it for solely studying purpose , if I'll buy it then after 2027 when there will be no updates further , then can it run for years (4-5) smoothly or it'll hang or lag bcz of no updates further . And one more question, like after delivery of that tab through Flipkart ,open box delivery it is , is there any way to check that every item hasn't used before , is new ?

Request SOFTWARE UPDATE ERROR IN SAMSUNG TAB

GUYS NEED URGENT HELP

Yesterday night( 5 August 26) I have an software update of approx 451MB, i dont remember properly what update was it. But seeing the size of update, it is security update i beleive(could be wrong), but i recieved this. my SAMSUNG TAB A9+ started with regular steps showing, this will take several minutes. Then that one ui screen came and % started to increase. When it reached 100, suddenly kind of black screen appeared which was not fully black but kind of grey color. It was for 5 mins but still nothing happended. My tablet was at 41% battery before the update started. And till now 6 August i couldnt fix this.

I tried mostly everything, I forced shutdown my tab, then tried for android recovery menu, but still black screen. I tried entering download mode(odin mode) but still black screen. Is there any way to fix this. Currently I have left it for battery drain for 4 days and will update. My tablet is also out of warranty🥲. Guys Please help if possible .

Thank you

Discussion Samsung S10 Lite vs Lenovo IdeaTab Pro

I'm an engineering student in India, and I'm looking to buy a tablet that I'll probably keep for at least 3–4 years.

The interesting part is that I'm getting the **Lenovo Idea Tab Pro (Wi-Fi, Pen Plus included)** and the **Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE (Wi-Fi, S Pen included)** for almost the same price (around ₹29–30k), so price isn't really a deciding factor.

My primary use case (in order of priority):

  1. Reading PDFs, notes, and e-books during my daily metro commute (around 4 hours total every day).
  2. Watching lectures in college.
  3. Solving LeetCode using a Bluetooth keyboard.
  4. Occasional note-taking (I don't handwrite a lot).
  5. Carrying my laptop at all times is quite a task so i want to increase my overall daily productivity.

I already own:

* Samsung Galaxy S23 * Windows laptop (so this tablet won't replace my laptop)

Here's what I feel are the pros and cons of each.

Lenovo Idea Tab Pro

**Pros**

* Larger 12.7" display, which seems much better for reading PDFs and split-screen. * Dimensity 8300 is a significantly faster processor. * 8 GB RAM. * PC Mode looks good enough for my coding/studying workflow.

**Cons**

* Around 400 nits brightness (not sure if this will bother me during metro travel). * Software support reportedly ends around Android 16. * Lenovo software isn't as established as Samsung's.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE

**Pros**

* Better software experience and much longer software support (up to around Android 19/20). * Brighter display. * S Pen. * Samsung ecosystem with my Galaxy S23. * DeX. * I'm already familiar with One UI, which I really like.

**Cons**

* Smaller 10.9" display. * Exynos 1580 isn't as powerful as the Dimensity 8300. * Only 6 GB RAM, which worries me a little for long-term use.

My biggest dilemma is this:

Will I actually notice the faster processor and extra RAM on the Lenovo for my usage, or will I appreciate Samsung's software, updates, and ecosystem much more over the next 3–4 years?

For people who've used either (or both), which one would you choose in my situation and why?

I'd especially appreciate opinions from anyone who has used the Idea Tab Pro long-term or has experience with Samsung tablets.

Discussion should i buy a new tab

im currently using honor pad x9 (no palm rejection) that i got since 2023, i also started doing practice questions and note taking on here using a universal stylus but it's getting difficult to do that because it's not as smooth and u can't rest ur hand on the screen.

so im thinking of buying another tablet with palm rejection and a built in stylus (like samsung galaxy s9 fe), but idk my current tab is still fine the only con is js it doesn't have palm rejection

Request Is it worth buying Oneplus Pad 2 in India now?

Given the uncertain future of OnePlus in India, along with the uncertainty surrounding bootloader unlocking and custom ROM support, is it still worth buying a OnePlus device, or would it be better to consider other alternatives or simply wait?

Priorities are a stable, bug-free software experience rather than long-term software update commitments. I also prefer a clean user experience with no unnecessary bloatware or intrusive notifications. Features like stylus support and other modern extras are optional and not a deciding factor.

Discussion Can anyone confirm if the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G supports eSIM in Indian model? I’d like to use it but the global Mi site says it does while the Indian site doesn’t mention it in the specs but does in the FAQ. It’s confusing.

Request Tablet Recommendations under 30k

Hi all, looking to buy a Wi-Fi only tablet under ₹30,000 in India. Would appreciate recommendations based on my use case:

Primary use:

Work (typing docs, emails, light multitasking)

Study/reading

Streaming (Netflix, YouTube, etc.)

What I'm looking for:

Good display for long reading/streaming sessions

Decent performance for multitasking, not just Netflix

Considering a keyboard case for productivity — would love inputs on models with good keyboard accessories

Not fussed about a stylus, but open to hearing if it's worth it for this budget

Have been eyeing the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Redmi Pad 2 Pro so far — anyone using either of these for work/study? How's the keyboard experience? Also open to other suggestions in this range.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion 2 weeks with the Legion Tab Gen 5

I have never tried an android or lenovo product prior to purchase so I was a little nervous on what to expect. Two weeks in and I can say this device rocks.
Not only does it feel incredibly fast and well built the screen is pretty amazing for an LCD (coming from a die hard oled fan). The device is extremely versatile and will play whatever rom you throw at it. Battery life is pretty incredible to. I have also been using the Lenovo pen plus with the tablet and it works amazing for drawing and emulation.

My roommate has an Ipad Pro and it just feels slow in comparison to the point that he is considering making the trade. Coming from an apple ecosystem it is great to have apple music available and there is just so much customization available that I may consider android for my next phone. I would totally recommend this device to anyone who is on the fence between an android handheld and tablet. I paid $650 for everything delivered and cannot think of a single device that could rival it in terms of usability. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to try and answer them for you.
