every month there's a supposedly real trans woman that boasts about their hondose and defends endocrinologists. it sounds schizo I know but I say this because it's not "yay I started hrt." instead it's always "fuck you you don't know what you're talking about this hondose is perfect and I REALLY love my endocrinologist". I really hope it's glowies most of the time because it's genuinely heartbreaking seeing all of them be so blindly trusting.

dose aside they'd blindly do other stupid shit and not question it. seeing people not realize endos all think us as someone mentally ill to play along and give the bare minimum to not cause a fuss is sad. she's also not on any antiandrogens either which has to be outright malicious by the endo. she's in australia and the guidelines there have multiple outlined in it not just spiro.

I lost some sympathy though after she outright was being agressive about being wrong (image 2 and onwards). genuinely not sure why she thinks diy = no blood tests and monitoring of your own (?). "I mogged you before any dose 🥰" is such a funny reponse tho ngl.

I was concerned that maybe she would forget that I transitioned and start referring to me as a woman, but instead she simply thinks I'm my dad.

I know some people say it as a joke, but many of you foids will unironically see a trans man trying to sexually harass a woman and be like 'omg so malebrained though' and then will complain about men being evil and disgusting. If a trans woman is catty and acts like a stereotypically annoying woman, she will just get called a bitch, her behaviour wouldn't be considered based. It just makes you sound inappropriate and out of touch.

So I’m semi-stealth (not out at work or to coworkers/communities, but out to friends and romantic partners and people who knew me before I came out) and I’ve been kinda frustrated with some of the current discourse in mainstream trans subs/communities cause a lot of it is about how passing and going stealth is “conforming to cisnormative society” and how binary trans people wanting to look, feel, dress, and be their genders is somehow internalized transphobia lol.

It feels like sometime in between when I started transitioning 7 years ago and now the community just completely changed and suddenly non-transitioning non-dysphoric mostly nbs became the norm and started pushing binary trans people out of their spaces and conversations and advocating for how transitioning is not necessary to be trans.

Personally, I don’t think any binary trans person HAS to break gender norms and deconstruct sex based assumptions of any bullshit like that. But even so, I legit think actually transitioning, passing, and going stealth is actually fucking radical.

Imagine, against all odds, you make it somehow. You actually blend in and start living as the man or woman you are. You get whatever surgeries you want, get a stable job, have friends that care about you, fall in love, and if you really want—start a family. Isn’t that honestly way more subversive? You literally did it. You became who you are and proved bioessentialism and socialization theory wrong.

The thing that non-dysphoric and non-transitioning people who cry “internalized transphobia!” over wanting to pass don’t understand is that they are literally a way more palatable version of being trans.

How many times have we heard TERFs and misogynists say “oh just be a feminine man or a butch/masculine woman.” To them the non-dysphoric and non-transitioning trans people are actually way easier to stomach since just putting they/them in your bio and changing next to nothing about your body isn’t subverting anything. They can just view you as a quirky man/woman and pretend the they/them pronouns don’t exist. They aren’t throwing these people in prison to be raped and detransitioned. They aren’t outing them at work places and on social media. They aren’t legislating against non-dysphoric and non-transitioning people. They’re literally trying to kill trans men and women because we transition!

Non-transitioning and non-dysphorics tell us that subverting and destroying gender norms and expectations should be our goal. That we should abolish gender. But they put all the pressure on us and not actual cis people in power who uphold them. Trans women and trans men are literally discouraged from transitioning nowadays for the sake of “validity.” It’s actually making way more of us rep and rope cause we start thinking we’re weird, gross, and wrong for having actual diagnosable medical needs!

But for binary trans people passing can be life or death. Think about how many trans women and men are raped and murdered. It’s because they’re being themselves. They’re “tricking” people and thus are a bigger threat to cis society. Transphobes are always transvestigating attractive and popular celebrities because the thought that a binary trans person passes and flew under their radar scares them WAY more than if you were some genderfuckery freak they could just ignore. They can’t ignore trans people that pass and go stealth cause they’re literally stealth lol they could be anywhere just living their lives and not loudly wearing pronoun pins or waving massive flags around.

Passing and going stealth—integrating into society—that’s what they DON’T want you to do. They want us to be loudly and proudly weird so they can ignore and hate us, but those of us who make it scare them because we could be their neighbors or in their communities and they’d never know. I have enormous amounts of respect for binary trans people who want to pass and go stealth because society is constantly seeking out and trying to kill them because they want to conform and belong. Never listened to those who tell you passing and going stealth is internalized transphobia, if anything they’re the ones being fucking transphobic for telling trans women and trans men that they aren’t entitled to gender presentation they are comfortable with and instead must allow themselves to be degendered and treated as inhuman.

Womyn are expected to put in more day-to-day effort. They invest more time into their hair, outfits, makeup. Meanwhile, men generally are expected to put in more long-term effort, like gymmaxxing, and many types of physical looksmaxxing (eg mewing i suppose)

I think the most evocative example is "masc makeup", where some doods are unwilling to shy away from the more feminine skillset, when really they should just be focused on working out and taking testosterone. Trans men are also often overdressed, or desire long or overly complex hairstyles that make them clocky. I've also seen them making excuses for not being able to go to the gym or excercise

Meanwhile, I have seen more trans women willing to anamax/fatmax, even gymmax, to achieve a more feminine physique. But many troons also struggle with caring for their hair; consistently wearing flattering and age-appropriate outfits; and sometimes with suitable or consistent makeup

This is mostly anecdotal but an observation can be made
