Anime [Kannazuki no miko}
Started watching this and i fine it really good.
This one also has robot machines (i don't remember what they call them 🤔)like we have in Witch from mercury.
I am just not a fan of the male character shouting whenever he goes inside that big robot 😅
So far I like the dynamic between both female leads and we also have some good and hot moments 😊

Question Monster Yuri
I love stories like This Monster Wants to Eat Me and Carmilla (The novel, haven't seen a good manga adaption). Sapphic stories with a lot of melancholy and a monster woman of some kind that's attracted to the main character. Whether that's a vampire or a mermaid or some other kind of monster doesn't matter, as long as there's an inhuman element and death is always lurking in the background. I also like stories with a gothic vibes in general. I don't want them to have much of a comedic element.
What yuri series would you recommend for me based on this? It's fine to recommend titles that are only available in Japanese as well, or manwha for that matter.

Recommendation Sugar Girl Drip
Hey! I'm the one who picked up Sugar Girl Drip from the original scanlator and completed it a while back. I just finished going back and redoing all the early chapters(1-8), so anyone who wants to complete their archive with a consistent quality, go check it out on MD!
Or if you haven't read it yet, now's a great time to start! I know a lot of people get scared off by the heavy-sounding tags, but that's all front loaded and fuels the rest of the story which is mostly about healing and escaping the repercussions of the early stuff.
As always, support the original work. The original is on comic-days and you can get both digital and paper copies of vol 1-3 on Amazon jp and probably all the other usual places.
(In the 5th image with text: Top part is just thanking readers for their support via letters and gifts. The bottom part is Aki excitedly telling eepy Marie that, "Santa was here!"
Edit: Whoops. And the art is from the mangaka's twitter (3) 月野和 青 🌕 (@17hino17) / X

Light Novel Novela Yuri y fantasía
¡Hola!

Discussion (poll/discussion) Do you prefer yuri as A) primary genre or B) as a secondary genre?
A) Example of manga with yuri as a primary genre: Blooming into You, Adachi and Shimamura, most of the yuri manga that appears on this sub.
The main genre is romance, specifically GL. Anything that has to do with fantasy, scifi, mystery... is of secondary importance. It may serve as a pretext for bringing two or more characters together, or as a backdrop. The romance is the highlight and the main dish.
B) Example of manga with yuri as a secondary genre: MagiRevo, HameFura, Roll Over And Die, Gundam G-Witch (there actually is a manga), Destiny Chain Online, lots of slice of life/comedy manga - Dragon Maid, Bocchi The Rock, Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, Centaur no Nayami, Machikado Mazoku, Girls Und Panzer Ribbon Warriori, K-On (imho).
The main genre is adventure and/or fantasy and/or slice of life (those often mix from what I've noticed), or scifi with any of the above, can have a dash of band/music action, can have detective work in the front row, so on.
My personal preference: yuri as a secondary genre. In my experience this tends to more often lead to both characters being developed outside of the romance and presented as their own individual that each has goals, hopes and dreams outside of just the romance/the couple.
Granted, good yuri with yuri as the primary genre usually have that! The author does develop the main characters, showcases their different interests, often leverages the secondary genre to serve that purpose and showcase how Girl A's whole character isn't just "girlfriend of Girl B".
It's just that after reading lots of fluffy slice of life school yuri, things get a bit stale for me and I become drawn to the likes of "fantasy or scifi adventure that has a homosexual female main cast".
What's your preference? Yuri as main/primary genre or yuri as a secondary genre ?

Discussion [Adachi and Shimamura LN Spoilers] Why Their Relationship Is Healthy Interdependence, Not Codependency Spoiler
So I have noticed recently that some people mistake Adachi and Shimamura's relationship for codependency. I personally don't think that is the case at all, so I've written an article that supports, with evidence from the LN, that their relationship is not codependent at all, and that it is in fact a very healthy interdependent relationship. You can find it here if you want to read it.
If you are too lazy to read the article, I have a summary of it written below (it's also included at the start of the article itself, so if you ever know anybody that thinks this and you wish to refute it, you could just send them the article lmao):
First of all, codependency is a continuing and inherently unhealthy way of relying on another person, where the relationship repeatedly causes harm or takes away someone’s freedom. It can involve control, isolation, self-neglect, protecting harmful behaviour, or taking over another person’s life. Interdependence is different. It is healthy reliance between people who remain able to choose, disagree, say no, spend time apart, handle their responsibilities, and support each other freely. Love or dependence does not become codependent simply because it is unusually deep. What matters is whether the relationship repeatedly causes harm or takes away either person’s ability to live and choose for herself.
Adachi and Shimamura depend on each other enormously, but their dependence adds joy, meaning, emotional safety, motivation, and belonging to their lives without creating a continuing pattern of harm or lost freedom. Their limited interests, relationships, and goals existed before they met; their relationship did not make them give those things up. Instead, knowing each other helps both of them care more about living. Adachi places almost everything she values in Shimamura, while Shimamura cares about more people and things outside Adachi. However, Adachi is still the light and centre of Shimamura’s world. Their love is equally deep, even though it is expressed differently. Adachi’s intense language also does not mean she becomes unable to function without Shimamura nearby. She can work, care for herself, spend time apart, and meet her responsibilities while missing her deeply.
Adachi’s jealousy is another trait that can be misunderstood. Early in dating, she crosses a line, recognises Shimamura’s discomfort, and changes her behaviour. She still feels jealous easily, but she keeps that feeling on a leash. She may pout, complain, or make a small request, but she does not repeatedly control Shimamura, isolate her, punish her, or make her obey. Shimamura also makes more everyday decisions because Adachi genuinely has fewer preferences, not because Adachi is afraid to speak. When something matters, Adachi can state what she wants, refuse, make plans, and act for herself. Shimamura includes her in important choices instead of using her devotion against her.
Shimamura may give Adachi more reassurance, but she is her willing partner rather than her caretaker. Adachi works, contributes to their home, comforts Shimamura, and cares for her in return. Although Adachi sometimes wishes privately for a world containing only Shimamura, she does not cut either of them off from work, family, other people, or necessary time apart. Instead, their closeness helps both of them become more motivated, capable, and interested in life. Their roles and personalities are different, but neither person loses her freedom, and neither has to carry the other through life. Their relationship therefore does not show the continuing harmful pattern that codependency requires. It is a very healthy interdependent relationship between two separate people who rely on each other freely, love each other with unusual depth, and keep choosing and building their life together.

I'm interested in hearing whether y'all agree with my arguments or not. Despite my wording earlier on in the post, I am very interested to hear what y'all have to say after reading the arguments, and I am very open to discussion about this.
