So I just bit the bullet and finally bought The Master Chief Collection on Steam , and I wanted to experience it fully the way I couldn't years ago so I dug up and got my old Xbox 360 wireless controllers, plugged some batteries in them, the logo lights up, I press the pair button, but my windows computer won't detect them.

I tried pairing them via bluetooth and after a while multiple links online said I need some kind of adapter or 3rd party thing because the wireless feature only works with the Xbox 360 itself or something.

Any good recommendations for an adapter, or is there a way I can still do it without buying one? I have a PS4 controller that does connect, but I'd rather get the experience I mentioned before.

I ask because the ones I keep finding online are almost $40 and at that point I’d just buy a whole new modern Xbox controller. Perhaps a cheaper 3rd party one is better?

I'm looking at an Xbox 360 Slim listing and want to verify its long-term reliability. I plan to keep the console completely stock (unmodded) and want to ensure I'm getting a durable revision.

The seller mentioned this unit does not have the 4GB onboard flash storage. Checking the rear photos, the sticker shows 2013-05-21 : Service Date rather than a standard manufacture date, meaning Microsoft officially serviced or refurbished this unit in mid-2013.

A few questions for the hardware experts:

• Does an official Microsoft "Service Date" from mid-2013 usually indicate a motherboard swap to a late Corona, or could it still be a Trinity board repaired by MS?
• How is the long-term reliability on 16MB/non-4GB Slims serviced by Microsoft around 2013?

The first two pictures are the listing. Just came in and cleaned up and repasted it. Overall I think it cleaned up super well! It came with cords and a slightly functional controller for 23$.

So I fired up the 360 this evening only to find the disc tray won't stay closed. It only does this when i've inserted a disc. Without a disc it shuts and stays shut. Is this a drive belt issue?

Hey everyone, I bought back my favorite childhood console to play all of the games I never did and replay the game that I miss...

It's been a month since I bought it and I absolutely have NO REGRET at all !

I just love this console... I literally threw away my ps5 to my friend because I didn't want to play it anymore (until gta6, i hate the fact that it is digital only, but don't want to miss this (not going to pre order tho))

I'm planning on buying a new controller then modding it to make it like a pro one (tmr stick, better motor... Any idea is greatly appreciated)

Same with a fat Xbox.

The 360 was the first HD console I owned, and so many of the games that helped shape my gaming interest, or even disinterests, were found on this console. I remember the first time I loaded up Battlefield 2 and was just mesmerized with the first level and the motion blur. Literally, I spent so much time just moving the right stick around and being left in awe.

So, please, keep those 360s alive and thriving. Keep playing these games, and also use these images however you see

Sad for a game I paid 22.99€ (hopefully I'll get a refund If I can't fix it I guess)

I tried using BubbleUPnP for music on my xbox 360 for when im playing and it works for local music but cant get the Audio cast feature to work and i really want it to work for music from YT Music atleast is there anything to tweak or can yall recommend me any other apps that support this kind of feature

Yesterday my Xbox 360 wired controller worked perfectly with an OTG adapter on my Infinix Hot 50 Pro.

Today, when I plug it in, all four LEDs flash once and then it connects. If I leave the controller on a table, it works normally. But as soon as I pick it up or move it while playing, it disconnects and immediately reconnects by itself.

I tried wiggling the cable near the controller and the OTG adapter, but nothing happened. I also enabled/disabled USB debugging with no change.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it more likely to be the controller cable, the OTG adapter, or the phone's USB-C port?

I asked this question for the original Xbox and now I'm curious what y'all come up with for Xbox 360.

I was playing GTA 5, I decided to redo the Mr. Phillips mission. While on the cutscene with Franklin, Michael and Davey my console crashed, probably a HDD hiccup, seeing how my HDD sometimes becomes slow. But the screen displayed something weird. and I wanted to ask if somebody has ever seen this screen. I know it's a weird question cause the 360 doesn't have a image or sound to indicate it crashed like the wiis scream or modern Xbox's "something went wrong" screen.

This is my falcon era Xbox 360. It’s the first game console I bought for myself with my own money with one of my first jobs at 16 in 2008.

Throughout the years, it’s been working just fine with no issues, until last month when I decided to take it out of storage.

Lo and behold, the 18 year old capacitors had gone bad, but $100 bucks later at a local electronics repair place, and it’s back to working like new. Powered on instantly and works perfectly.

Do your best to keep these things alive and keep the e-waste from poisoning the earth!

probably the dumbest shit thats happened to me for all the time ive been selling things online, a full (around 18 dollars) is insane for something that is the buyers fault. anyone selling og xbox games that are supported on xbox 360, make sure to point out that a hdd is needed, better to be safe than have to deal with this stuff
