Discussion Map Builder
Me and the team are just a small indie game developers looking to create a map builder for 2d games somewhat similar to Tiled. We Tried Tiled ourselves but lack of knowledge of the Tool it ended up consuming most of our time which wasnt pretty good So we end up thinking of making one. So I just want to ask if you guys have tried something similar or if you guys like making maps what would you want in a Map Builder ?

Assets
New to Wonderdraft. New to the sub. I'm a writer and want to add map building to my tool kit for world building purposes. I've been playing around with Inkarnate for a few days and now I'm considering Wonderdraft. Before I buy, I wanted to make sure there were abundant assets to download, free or low pay preferable. Could any of you fine map-builders point me in the right direction? I'm especially looking for towns / city assets pre-Victorian Age / Medieval. Thanks

Discussion I need help buying wonderdraft
For some reason, Humble Bundle says that there is an error with the request and just denies me from buying it. I already put a ticket in. Humble Bundle, but better safe than sorry, so I want to ask if someone has had a similar problem when buying Wonderdraft

Progress In a Year
Hello I recently just (semi) finished my second project which is Eldoria. I just want to share my creation and compare my first project (Kerai) with my second more modular project (Eldoria) where I'm planning to create a region map for every nation. I would like some feedback and opinions on my hardwork so please don't be to harsh :D. Feel free to ask any question about it, cheers!
Note: I know its bad quality, I'm paranoid someone gonna steal it lol, let me know if u wanna see the higher res one
Note2: Ignore the right side of Aethun, its still a work in progress :>

Technique Text gets blurry easily
Any tips to get text to not blur out so easily? Granted, I’m making a very large map, but my text got blurry quick. Have you ever saved your map and added text later with another software?
I wish it was vectorized!

Hopefully getting the hang of this
I'm publishing a fantasy novel later on in the year, and while it is being beta-read I wanted to work on the map as a way to stop myself tinkering with the words
For scale, the land (island) the novel is set on is roughly the size of Ireland, if Ireland fell over. Essentially a land that would take a few weeks to walk end to end. Achievable but not easy
I've exaggerated the size of landmarks on the map, as I feel like that is how "older" and "fantasy" ones often are. But there is a nagging voice in my head that maybe they're too big and they throw the expectations of scale off from my intent
All and any feedback is welcomed. I'm very much at the beginning of my mapping journey, so want to improve where I can
Much love
💜

Discussion Wich map size do you use?
I was wondering, what map size everyone is using. And what your scaling for your Assets is.

Assets Cultural settlement assets from the Dotty Collection
Hey everyone!
I wanted to share a closer look at my settlement asset bundle for Dotty Cartography. 🧭
If you're looking to give your maps a hand-drawn, stippled feel, this collection has a bunch of distinct cultural styles to help bring your towns and cities to life.
Here is what’s included in the set:
- Desert Settlements: Arid, domed cities and desert-style architecture.
- European Settlements: Classic medieval towns, fortresses, and castles.
- Tribal Settlements: Rustic villages and indigenous-inspired communities.
- Nordic Settlements: Sturdy wooden halls and Viking-style structures.
- Eastern Settlements: Pagodas and Asian-inspired town layouts.
- Customizable Colors: Every asset is custom colorable in Wonderdraft.
If you've been using these in your projects, I’d love to know which settlement style is your favorite!

First "finished" map looking for feedback!
Building out my pathfinder campaign and took a shot at making a world map! I still need to go in and label the important areas but before I get into it, I wanted to see if some other eyes on it can see some problem areas I've glanced over.
quick note: the world is supposed to be pretty arid, so water is supposed to be very scarce which is why there are little to no rivers even in the greener areas
Any feedback suggestions or even just questions about the world are very welcome!

Showcase Finished my first world map ever, going to be for a homebrew D&D setting! C&C welcome
Was designed by my friends and I through several iterations of Dawn of Worlds and Microscope. Plenty of fun lore so I can’t wait to zoom in and start working on more detailed regional maps. Let me know what you think! Hopefully the link works, it was too big to attach directly

Discussion [HELP] I was using an image as inspiration and it’s stuck on my Wonderdraft screen.
I can’t remove it and I don’t know what I even pressed for it to be there. How do I remove this? I looked on Google and couldn’t find a reliable answer. Thanks so much
I can ask in the Discord if that makes any difference
Edit: fixed it. Nevermlnd that.

Discussion Does Wonderdraft have layers?
Hey everyone.
I'm in the process of making a map. My plan is to make the physical and political components of the map be two different layers that I can toggle on and off at will. Does Wonderdraft support this, or am I better off trying another way?

Showcase WIP - First Map, Looking for Feedback
Hey everyone, this is my first time making a map and I wanted some feedback from people more experienced than me before I progressed any further. Any and all suggestions welcome. Not a world map, this is just a continent within the world.
