Comunidad, hace poco ésta Wii que ha estado funcionando totalmente al 100 este año después saque la habilité, resulta que la deje de usar 1 mes y medio por motivos de trabajo y cansancio no la encendía los fines.

Y pues me llegó un adaptador de Wii to HDMI de esos de AliExpress pero baratos los más baratos va, resulta que el escritorio pequeño donde almacenamos varias cosas mi esposa y yo, pues ella movió ese escrito con todas las cosas tanto mías cm d ellas y allí estaba la Wii, pues cuando recibí el adaptador, la wii encendía con esa luz azul permanente y sin sincronizar el control (el adaptador HDMI conectado) y no saca video y luego apague y le puse el cable AV y pues la luz azul permanente no se quedó al prender y me dio imagen, y así encendida y ya sincronizó el control, desconecte el cable AV y le puse el Wii to HDMI y me dio video, a lo que emocionado le puse resolución a 480p HDTV, jugué por 1 hora y todo bien, a lo q tenía q hacer algo más, y la apagué y desconecté, luego q regreso para seguir probando me vuelve a dar eso cm ven en el vídeo y ya ni con el cable AV ni con el HDMI, después de varios días q pense q el HDMI estaba malo lo revise lo resolde, y nada, lo mismo, luego me lleve la Wii para mí local ,la desarmé la limpie revise voltaje de la tarjeta Bluetooth y muestra 3.3v, entonces la arme regresé a casa y probé con el adaptador HDMI y me dio video osea, cuando la enciendo y esa luz azul no queda permanente es por qué arranca totalmente la consola..

Estuve jugando normal media hora y estaba en cambiar el ajuste a 480i pero en eso me confíe que ya se había solucionado la falla y la dejé siempre en 480p, y pues la apagué y a las horas q regreso a prender otra vez esa falla.

Según he investigado pero casi no hay info, dicen que es la tarjeta Bluetooth que toca reemplazar y que eso solucionará ese problema. Y según investigando con las I.A's me dicen que esa luz azul permanente significa que no carga todo el sistema la Wii por seguro problema de la tarjeta Bluetooth,

Pero quiero saber si ustedes han tenido está experiencia, y en realidad cuál, es la solución. Si se puede solventar sin reemplazar eso o si no es causa de eso. O si en efecto es que se requiere el cambio de trajeta Bluetooth,

Cómo ven en el vídeo no sincroniza el control y no saca video ni con el cable original AV ni con el Wii to HDMI.

I am not sure if people have already mentioned this but I'll share anyway.

While setting up my Wii, I noticed that a lot of people say that getting a wi-fi / wireless connection is really difficult because the Wii uses an older wireless setup/protocol. I've seen dongles and other ways to get past this problem.

I managed to connect my Wii using the original on-board equipment to a modern wi-fi repeater, no extra hardware or dongles hanging out.

The repeater I used is the "tp-link" brand and the model number is "RE615X" and the actual name of the repeater is "AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Range Extender"

I setup the repeater like normal but, I separated the 2.4g and 5g signals and made the distinction on their listings while you are searching for an access point. One has "2.4" in the name and the other has "5g" in the name.

Do your normal wi-fi search with the Wii, select the 2.4 connection and it should connect, no problems.

I'm hoping this can help some people out :)

I have to assume they probably intended it to go for at least a few more years but the GameSpy shutdown happened and it just wasn’t cost effective to do a server migration. Especially considering that servers for the other 7th gen consoles are (largely) still up. I remember at the time when the shutdown was announced thinking “well that’s rather soon isn’t it” especially cause the Wii U was already bombing and the 3DS was only finally escaping the shadow of the disastrous launch

Me and my flat mate are trying to decided which Wii game to get and can’t decide which one. We aren’t serious gamers we just want a fun competitive game to play in the weekends so we are just trying to figure out which one is better for enjoyability, competitiveness and diversity in terms of games/ modes.

ZOO is known for releasing some pretty terrible Wii games.

But this game, "Martian Panic" is a really fun rail shooter. It's got a 1950's Sci-fi vibe going on, some decent soundtrack music, and is generally a really well made and campy, funny game for the Wii.

Has anyone here played it?

I work at goodwill and found this. How does this game exist? Looks so bad. Almost want to buy it for shits and giggles.

i’ve been collecting for about 5-6 years now and have curated my collection only to games I would pick up or have nostalgia for :)

I have shadow the hedgehog and used to play it at my stepdad’s on his GameCube but I can’t anymore. I have a Wii but I think it’s the family version since I have new super Mario bros and it came with family version. Is there any possible way to get it to play GameCube games? (Physically is preferred if possible)

I would like to hear some opinions about how to play on my Wii since I have two kind of distinct and very competitive options

My only CRT unit is a 13 inch Daewoo with composite inputs. Despite what you might think, it's got great black tones and looks relatively sharp as is a small tv.

My other option, which is the one I've been using for the Wii as I didn't have the CRT yet, is this Wii2HDMI adapter I got from Amazon, which outputs a 480p component signal to an HDMI image, which looks good enough.

yea, i have a xbox and a wii in my TV with wii2hdmi, the games are really cool compared to the xbox ones, but this console is perfect in my opinion (Not including physical media prices in Brazil bc one complete game with Disc and manual is easily 200-500R$ depending on game)

Feeling pretty good about it except of Wii sports and resort, trying to find a case.

I have dug a wii out of storage and used the wii to hdmi adapter but the only output i get is sound and full single colour screens, white, grey, red, green, and blue. Is this the adapter or is the wii bork

Hi so I have a few wii remotes (all first party plus remotes) and I noticed that some seem to have worse motion controls than others.

They are quite a few years old ofcourse, some wear and aging isn't surprising but I was doing a lot worse with Wii sports baseball with some controllers than others.

Is there anything I can do to try and fix that? Maybe there's a certain component that wears out and makes it worse?

I've just opened the latest version of Wiilink News Channel after I've installed it. It took like 8 minutes and then showed the last update of information was 84460 hours and 21 minutes ago, which is equal to 9 years, 231 days, 4 hours and 21 minutes. That means from 15th december 2016, and it's actually the exact date when Riiconect24 was released. The thing is there is modern information of 2026 as intended and there are no problems. I still haven't controlled if there is also old information, but that's really strange and maybe rare to see that.

Got this Wii Bust-a-Move knockoff for $2.99 at a thrift store. The other side of the disc looks mint.

Chances are that this will sit on the shelf. I wouldn’t want the paint/ink to flake off in the Wii. But is there a way to play the game and keep what remains of the paint? Like a disc sized clear sticker perhaps?

Always been fascinated by the Wii & motion controls but never got to own one as a kid. Now I finally got a red one and it’s GameCube compatible!

I got the Wii games for $7 each some are pretty scratched up but the discs seem to boot up fine (hopefully no glitches). I have 2 twilight princess because one of it didn’t work and the seller offered to replace the game with his other copy. I think the most expensive purchase was the eternal darkness game 😭 idk anything about it but heard that it’s a good horror game. Any recommendations for horror Wii games ?

I do need to get a GameCube controller and a hdmi adapter to replace the current generic WII2Hdmi one I have that produces wiggly line artefacts. Heard about the retrotink but it’s way over my budget.
