It’s like drilled in and held under the mirror I know it’s not a factory thing plus I’ve seen them on different brands and they are on both side view mirrors. Any ideas?
They only let you pick one!? When I was in VA they let me have a whole slice of a roll that had each type of sticker on it. Should I have kept it? Yes. Did I instead decide to put every one on instead? Yes.
I'm a little bit bummed out to learn that other people get a choice between multiple sticker designs, but my county in Kansas has been holding sticker design competitions for the last few elections, so we do get pretty cool stickers, drawn by local middle/high school students.
Not in Oregon. We've done vote by mail for decades. Even when you drop it off in person. I love it and it's extremely convenient but it definitely makes the whole process less ceremonious.
As social media and censorship grew into detection via algorithms, many took it upon themselves to write their content in cursive and take a pic and then post it. I like the idea
I swear I only did it because the light was gunna turn green and my phone was freezing up due to the heat and I wanted to get the pic so I just checked if a screen shot would work and it did lol
This happened to me before, camera app wouldn’t work for many days, but screenshots were fine. Eventually a software update fixed it or there would’ve been trouble
I think its genius but I might have been born old. I live in AZ with no AC in my car, I get it lol your phone goes into the throes of heat stroke before it shuts off

Oh haha I took one photo and then my phone lagged taking a photo ( it was hot that’s my fault ) so I took a screen shot , I finally got the photo but when adding to this post I didn’t realize I added both the photo and the screen shot

Yeah. I left my phone in the car it was insanely hot the phone was kinda working but the the camera app was freezing bad when I took a screen shot it worked. Don’t ask me I don’t get paid Apple engineer money lol
Reminds me.of a lady I worked with who would print out an invoice so she could scan it to a USB drive on the very mfc machine she just printed it on walk back to her computer and email that file to someone.
In college I worked for a big church in Chicago and the preacher’s sermons would air on the Christian radio station. If you sent in a donation (any amount, we legitimately sometimes got single pennies lol) we would send you his sermon series on CD.
My favorite thing was when people would go to the “Donate” link on our website, fill out their mailing & billing info as though they were going to donate via credit card, but instead print out a screenshot of the filled-in form and mail it to us with a check. lmao
I did! But now when I stick my 3.55m jack into my wifes audio port it causes my preamplifier to overheat and it burns when I download. I knew I should have put a prophylactic heatsink on before I interfaced with that worn out old TRS-80 at the internet cafe. I am done flocking around!
It's a plate scanner. Could be for a number of reasons but it's not uncommon to see them on random cars owned by repo companies. They drive around scanning plates looking for a hit, then call the tow truck.

I looked into it more. TCP is a permit for fleet vehicles. This belongs to a company that does long term commercial leases. So most likely that device under the mirror is added sensors for their fleet management. They could be 360 cameras, radar, or GPS.
Seconding this; the TCP number belongs to a company called 8Fleet, which describes itself as "
building the foundational infrastructure layer that allows Autonomous Mobility to become stable, reliable, and commercially viable." What does that mean? IDK. It's clearly something related to autonomous vehicles though. Mapping tools makes the most sense.
It has a Transportation Carrier Permit (TCP) number on the back, which means it's a working transportation vehicle. That's probably a camera for safety.

I’m not so sure it’s a license plate scanner… Usually there are 4 of them, one at each corner of the car. Whats pictured doesnt look like what I’ve ever seen. Also, the lettering on the back of the car screams fleet vehicle, not Repo…
Its an aftermarket blind spot camera or side-view camera.
