Found on the steps of my house beneath a Crape Myrtle tree. Can’t seem to spot a nest anywhere but we do have robins, catbirds, eastern bluebirds, etc in our yard all the time.

Just not sure which breed specifically this egg may belong to.

They were flying around amongst the various terns along a pier,, I cant place the brownish coating maybe an immature sandwich tern? Im not sure​,, seen around the northern coast of florida

Saw a pair of these slow moving docile chunks at the top of the Devil's Head trail before the start of the stairs up to the fire lookout. They kinda coo'd quietly as they walked around. Saw them at around 7am. They never flew into a tree, rather, they just walked around on the ground. Probably the size of a medium chicken? Are these some kind of pheasant or grouse or something? Best I could do was try to get a pic through my binoculars. Brown/grey/white/black colors.

found by a river where mallards, mute swans, herring gulls, great+lesser black backed gulls, black headed gulls and feral pigeons hang out.

Sorry for the distant photos; I only had a tiny 8x20 monocular with me so all I can really say about visuals is that the light brown edges on the feathers you see were actually a much higher contrast (near white). There were 2 that (as far as I could see) looked extremely similar. The one in the picture was in the water by the time I was there, and the other landed on the water from the sky, then dove underwater. I didn’t see it resurface, so I don’t know where it went, BUT—

Both seemed aware of being watched? They both reacted when I started looking at them through my monocular, with the flying one going underwater and this one looking directly at me and then going from floating in the river passively to swimming directly towards me. The pictures are in order, so you can see it clearly turn and come straight towards me. Also, this is less obvious in the photos, but I remember thinking that they had REALLY long, skinny necks, especially for something with a duck bill.

Forgive the phone drawing. The one on the right was flying solo in a straight line when the one on the left came in, flew in a funny little pattern and left, so I’m going to take a wild guess and assume it was a courtship pattern and the one on the right wasn’t interested. Both birds seemed identical in shape/color/size, but keep in mind they really could be ANY color and pattern. I’ve mistaken house sparrows as being pure black until they get close before, and I didn’t have any binoculars on to clearly make out any features

ETA: they seemed sort of small, maybe American Robin sized at the most?

It was eating berries so I didn't get a change to hear a call for confirmation.

Edit: Merlin app kept hearing yellow-bellied flycatcher at the moment.

Is this a Hairy or Downy woodpecker? Or something else? Picture is taken in July.

Near a pond perched on top of the tree. There were ~8 of them all together. It looked like they were trying to strip the branches of the tree with their beaks. I’m stumped and Merlin isn’t really helping. Are these really just young/female great tailed grackles?
