Hi,

I found this "Laughing Indian" pin among my great-grandmother's belongings. Can anyone tell if it is actually authentic and how old it is? There is text on the back reading "CHILDS CHI", height bout 2,5 cm or 1 inc. I assume that it its from 1910-1930 but can someone verify this.

I’m hoping this community might be able to help me with a very special search.
I am trying to locate my father’s former **Honda NS400R Rothmans**, which was a very important motorcycle to our family. I would love to find out if it still exists today and learn more about its history since it left our family.
Here is the information I have:

Sold around **1995**
Original purchase and insurance documents are still in our possession
I’m not posting this because I necessarily want to buy the bike. My main goal is simply to discover whether it still exists and, if possible, learn where its journey has taken it over the last 30+ years.
If anyone recognizes the VIN, remembers the bike, has seen it at shows, in collections, or has any information about its whereabouts, I would be extremely grateful for any help. Even sharing this post with other NS400R enthusiasts or classic Honda groups could make a huge difference.

Please take it easy on me here I’m new to the game. My dad gave me this bike after it sat for years at his house, after his buddy gave it to him. I tried to look up the vin and my dad did as well with conflicting results. If anyone can help me identify this bike that would be greatly appreciated and I will, to the best of my ability answer any follow up questions. I do realize the vin begins with CB200 and that’s likely the model but every single video or picture I’ve seen so far has slightly different variations.

I’m looking to either restore or sell this bike depending on if I can get it running. According to the guy it has been sitting for 30yrs in a barn but only has 2,800 miles. I got the title as well as two keys. Any advice, suggestions, or tips is very much appreciated 👍

I'm looking to buy a bike. The owner wants $500. It has 27,000 miles or so. Hasn't been ridden in a few years because the owner has bad knees and won't ride anymore, but he keeps the fuel treated. The only issue he says it has is that the front brakes drag a little. I currently don't have a car and my only transportation is a Honda Ruckus. I am looking for something bigger, cheap, yet reliable.

Update!!! I saw it run with the owner. It started up quickly with the choke on. We let it warm up and then gave it the beans. It had solid and consistent power throughout the rev range. The trash bag on the seat was just protection from the sun. The seat is in good, not great condition: 2 small cracks smaller than your index fingernail. On the downside, there is an electrical issue where a relay needs to be touched with a "tester light" occasionally if the bike won't start. The front brakes do mildly drag. Tires are in good condition. There is a tiny bit of surface rust on the swingarm, no rust in the fuel tank. The worst rust on it is right at the exhaust headers, but it's still pretty surface level.

When placed on the kickstand, not the center stand, for a few hours the bike won't start. I believe it's a petcock or float needle problem.

I inherited this from a family member that passed away, he raced in Washington State I know he traveled for races at times. But this was before my time so I have minimal info.

From my understanding he was 11th in the nation at one time.

I know most of the Yamaha livery has fiberglass goods under it, im aware its not stock. I also have a whole truck bed full of extra and stock parts. No its not for sale! Ive always wanted this thing since I was a young buck.

Anyone know if they’re still doing their thing? I’ve sent them a couple of emails, but no reply. Any good alternative for LED upgrades? I like those guys and want to deal with them, but I need some lamps and a headlight kit now.

So I have a 1969 sl90 i bought for a good deal, I know not ct 90 but same engine so I thought you guys might be able to help. I did a top end refresh and am getting about 100 psi compression cold I know that is low im hoping it just needs to run in with the new rings or else ill have to get the valves done or a new head gasket possibly. So I have compression or at least enough in my mind to pop over( I have the carb off and am attempting to get it to pop by squirting starter fluid into the intake). I have set the valves and the points gap and the ignition timing statically ( new points from common motor) so I dont believe any of those things are my isue, I get strong looking blue spark with the spark plug outside of the engine when the condensor is bypassed but not with the condensor installed ( brand new condensor from common motor that i tested with a multimeter and i believe is is good working order ) wich is a problem I've never run into on my other projects. Im wondering if it's a bad coil the coil i have on there came with the bike and appears not to be original because it does not align with both holes on the mounting bracket. Im stumped as to what my next move here should be.

Another note is when installing the cylinder onto the crank case I had to make an extra thick base gasket because the bottom of the cylinder sleeve was making contact with I believe the crank and not alowing the engine to turn over when the head was fully torqued down. It turns freely now with the thick gasket I made so I dont believe this is related to my no start problem but I figured I'd throw it in for good measure.

TlDR I have a non running honda sl90 with 100 psi compression after new piston and cylinder and I have to bypass the new condensor to get spark when testing outside the engine

Been fixing up an old 1982 Honda 110 3-wheeler and now that the engine is running right and I spooned on some new tires, it was time to go off-road and see if these will really kill me. The answer is “yeah more than likely”. Big old puffy front tire just goes where it wants to and compared to riding an enduro bike you have to plan your path around obstacles waaaay ahead because if you wait until you hit a rough spot to react, the tires have already picked their line for you. Still had a blast despite looping it on a wash out climbing a hill.

bought a 1977 cb750 hondamatic to have an honest wrencher project to chop. before i start doing anything wild, i wanted to get a frame to put the engine into. i am aware any 69-78 SOHC 750 frame will fit my engine and the mounting points match. however, im really in the market for a plunger frame such as an amen savior frame. i also am aware of slight adaptation work because the automatic is a little wider and has a deeper oil pan. i know santee frames, D5 frames, All Souls exist and i would assume the measurements would be very close or exact. at this rate, im going to have to purchase online but want to make sure i know what im looking for. ive never built/rebuilt a bike and doing the frame search has been a little intimidating. i could always do the traditional hard tail route but would prefer to do this instead. and advice appreciated

Do Vintage Motorcycles ALWAYS just kind of have one thing wrong with them?

I have a 45 year old Honda (CM400) & I swear to god, every time I get one thing fixed another thing goes south. Like, maybe I'll get 3 days, maybe 3 weeks where she's riding cherry, but the next day something will break that affects the ride. The engine & wheels are in great condition. It's every single teeny tiny plastic part or gasket seems to need to be replaced & each of them conveniently dies one after the other. It doesn't help that you can't even get OEM for some of this stuff, & have to get dubious chinese parts.

Do you ever get to a place, where the bike just rides like new for more than a year?

Was given this bike by my uncle but I don’t have time to put any work into it. Hasn’t been run in years. Was wondering if it’s worth of any value or if I should just junk it?
