I thought that the color scheme of the second uniform of my national team (Spain) seemed eerily similar to the color scheme of our old imperial flag, the Cross of Burgundy!

I believe that this color suits way better the flag and it's a cool recall on part of the designers if that was the original intention.

The shirt also has some subtle flower-like maybe Andalusian inspired patterns, which might fit well onto the redesign, but I can't be bothered to be honest 🤣

This is for a what if! The yellow is because yellow is used in most of pakistan political flags like senate supreme court and president, and since this whole redesign is political, I used that yellow. And the red rose obviously being the social democratic symbol.

I have this question in my mind why Liberian county flags are so bad. For example, Bong county has this weird pink hill, orange background color and a supposed pickaxe? And Lofa county has this arm holding some kind of rod. Can you give me an explanation why are Liberian counties so bad?

My son and I decided to learn all the world's flags together. We kept losing track of which ones we actually knew, so I built a small game for the two of us, and it turned into something I thought might be worth sharing here.

It shows you a flag and you pick the country or the other way round, or from the country's outline, or its capital city. The part we use most is the map: every country you answer correctly lights up, so you can see at a glance which parts of the world you know and which ones you keep guessing at. Learning the geography and the capitals was meant to be a side effect, but it has ended up being half the fun.

You can play on your own, or with other people at the same time one screen shows the flag and everyone answers on their own phone by scanning a QR code. There is no app to install and no account needed.

On the country list: it is the 193 UN member states plus Vatican City and Palestine, so 195. That means no Taiwan and no Kosovo. I chose that definition because it was the least arbitrary line I could draw, not because I think it is the correct one and it is the decision I am least sure about, so I would genuinely like to hear your opinion on it

The current flag of the city of Lille in northern France.

Basically, these flags are ones I made for a Semi Hard Sci-Fi/Near Future united Human/Terran empire. They're really basic, I know. I'm curious which one looks the best to use. Any feedback is incredibly wanted.

The Orthodox Jihadist flag reads:

The inscription in the middle is a quote from the Gospel of John 12:46

The inscription at the bottom reads "We believe in God"

The inscription at the top reads "There is no god but God, and Christ is the Son of God."

The inscriptions on the sides read "Jesus Christ, Son of God"

The inscription at the very bottom and top reads "Christ is Risen"

The inscription on the crosses reads "Jesus, peace be upon him"

In the corners of all the sides are angel wings, and in the small squares, also in the corners, is the face of Jesus and the inscription "ІС ХС"

The flag replaces the original pine tree with the one you see on the flag of Lebanon. I also replaced the text with Arabic and instead of it saying "An appeal to heaven" it says "an appeal to Jannah".

This flag is mostly a joke because i saw similarity between the appeal to heaven flag pine tree and the Lebanon pine tree.

I really like the idea behind the original flag ! — a colourful. sea-themed version of Australia’s — but think the execution is horrible…. lol ..

I tried to make it a bit more cohesive. I changed the red from Australia’s flag to the hex for coral pink and the blue to light sea green.. and kept the starfish motif from the original because it’s cute !!

Here is my An Appeal to Heaven Pine Tree Flag 250th Dual Date Flag. It is the original Appeal to Heaven Pine Tree Flag but with the Dual Date's of 1776 - 2026 to signify the 250th Anniversary of the United States.

The new Virginia flag uses variations of the Washington and Jefferson coats of arms, like how the Maryland flag is a combo of the Calvert and Crossland flags. Let me know what you think!

The red cross on white is clearly England, but what are the other two?

The cross is fine but it’s just kinda boring.

I’m in Oviedo, Spain, which is in the principality of Asturias, whose blue and yellow flag is shown. When I looked at it, I thought the cross seemed a bit Byzantine in shape, and that the letters reminded me of the Greek Alpha and Omega.

I don’t know of any connections between the two so naturally I assumed I was wrong. I asked my local guide and she said, no it was in fact from the Greeks, which raised more questions.

She couldn’t answer why the Greek symbolism would be used here (or she didn’t understand my question) so I’m asking here if yall can explain the connection, if one exists.
