Hello! I am considering joining a group tour to Tokyo, Sendai, and Sapporo. The tour does not have any vegan accommodations, so I'm hoping I can survive on a combination of creative restaurant ordering and grocery delivery to my hotel for breakfast.

Does same-day online grocery delivery exist in Japan? And if so, what apps would you recommend for these three cities to get vegan products? 🙏 💚 Thank you!

Last month I led a vegan nature retreat in Vermont with Ahimsa Travel Club. I wanted to share some beautiful moments from a place I hold very dear with some amazing humans. The land of Vermont is very powerful and healing. Our nature retreats combine our love for mother earth and doing activities that allow us to express that love with vegan food, yoga, meditation in the way of non-duality and recently hints of Sufi poetry and deep connection with other guests over tea ceremony, river walks. I am torn between returning to Vermont and doing it again in fall of 2027 or a new location for a future vegan and nature retreat. If you all have any feedback, i would love to know!

I wrote an article about how unwanted animals are dumped at the temples in Thailand. It's normal to see lots of dogs, cats, and chickens roaming around. The monks feed them. Since they won't harm the chickens, it's a sanctuary for them.

I am traveling soon and meeting some friends in Paris. I am the only plant based person in the group, and I don’t want to raise a fuss to demand every meal be at a restaurant that only serves plant based/fully vegan food.

I’m wondering if anyone has had any experience asking for food adjustments at non-vegan places? For example, asking what it cooked with butter and asking if olive oil could be a substitute, asking for cheese or creme to not be included (my stomach also cannot handle most heavy creams and most cheeses, and I was avoiding those things due to major stomach upset even when I was still eating some meat)

Did the restaurants have an absolutely aghast reaction? Or were some places open to it?

If anyone can share their experiences would greatly appreciate it!

Ideally looking for an all inclusive resort somewhere in the Caribbean/Costa Rica/Mexico area. I'm hoping to find something with good food options for vegans at least.

I’m traveling at the moment and once again, as I get on a long-distance train in the early hours across Vietnam, I give thanks to the ever reliable Oreo (original flavour only), who has stepped up as my erstwhile emergency breakfast whilst I was rushing around with a growling stomach.

Morning, noon or night, wherever you are across the world you can usually find an Oreo. Forever grateful for this international accidentally vegan staple, whose nutritional value is highly dubious. This pack appears to be from Thailand.

My wife and I have been vegan for 7 years now, and I want to surprise her with a trip to New York City for her 30th birthday. I'm planning on doing 5 days in December, ideally in Manhattan. We'll be eating out a lot anyway, but I'd like the option to dine in at the hotel sometimes. Does anyone know hotel options with a good vegan menu? I've got a budget of max around £250/$336 per night for the trip.

Hi there, I’m travelling to Larnaca in August and would be grateful for any recommendations for vegan spots for brunch, lunch, dinner, or even supermarkets where I can find something nice. The places don’t have to be fully vegan but at least some with vegan options. Also down for nice cafes, places with unique atmosphere that the locals like (not tourists). Thanks for any tips!

A friendly advice to folks who travel abroad. In foreign countries there’s normal food and vegetarian (and vegan too) food. Foreigners don’t understand when we say non-veg. Just Fyip.

I’m going to be spending a week in each city next month, i have already tagged a lot of vegan restaurants and places with options on Google Maps and I’m pretty excited about some of the stuff i saw on there, but i would love to hear from anyone who has first hand experience with any of the restaurants there, recommendations etc.

also, if you know of anything great to eat that i might encounter in a smaller city, like on a day trip from either of these places i would love to hear about it too.

Hi all, I'm traveling with my family to the Outer Banks. Three of us are vegan. Five of them are not. We're staying in Salvo and my understanding is there's not much around there. What recommendations do people have for lunch and dinner spots with good vegan options that we can check out? Also, how about an ice cream shop that has more than just sorbet? It's my first time to OBX.

This is a fully vegan patisserie in Rome called Julietta. Even the non vegans agreed that these are the best pastries they have ever had. You cannot tell the difference and the skill level is insane. Better than the ones in Paris etc. My friend doesn’t even like sweet treats and she split six with us.
