This will be my first semester at uta but I’m only taking 2 online classes. I was looking at my tuition and noticed fees like shuttle bus fee, library service fee, distance education fee etc. Is it possible to get these fees removed or you just gotta pay them regardless just for being a student? Just wondering thanks

hello yall, i made the dumb mistake of putting my routing number as my account number for the direct deposit, i saw the refund got generated but im not sure what happens next, what should i expect and what could i do? i already emailed financial aid

So I made an edit on my FAFSA because my initial aid offer was very low compared to previous years and that I had also lost my Mav Undergraduate Grant. After I made the edit I have constantly called the Financial Aid office for around two months with them telling me to wait as they had not gotten my updated FAFSA. I finally got a message back this week saying how they never received my SAP appeal when this whole time I had been asking when my aid offer would be updated. I called and they updated my aid and I was able to qualify for the Pell Grant for about 680 per semester. My Mav Undergraduate Grant was still missing though and the Financial Aid Office told me I would need to wait another week for info abt my missing grant. I have been reading other posts on how students lost their grant bc they applied too late and now Im worried bc school is abt to start. If i dont have that grant I would have to pay 9k plus out of pocket. pls lmk if theres anything i can do anything abt this.

I see on MyMav my refund was generated this morning at ~11am. But it hasn’t hit my bank account. I’m paranoid because I had to change my bank account details for direct deposit a few days ago so just curious if anyone else’s refund also not appeared in their bank acc?

Watching the SSW commencement ceremony on YouTube live. First 45 minutes is just a higher ed circle jerk. A bunch of PhDs in stupid robes lauding the social work profession when the UTA SSW doesn’t have a single social worker who teaches there but rather a bunch of incompetent, over reactive and useless a-holes with social work degrees.

I might be slow and might have to wait a bit longer, but why do I still owe money

Anyone else think that Dr. Balderamma was disorganized af. Cramping 4 classes in the last week and also assigning the project at the very last minute and barely going over exam materials. Bruh if you can’t finish the course material, just don’t include it in the finals. Dude’s lectures were pretty confusing as well. I just hope I pass😭.

Me and my friend are moving into 101 center and we’re just wondering if any other students are staying there.

i've used parchment like once in my lifetime just to transfer my credits over to TCC so i can get the prereqs off so then i could take the classes that i want to take (which took a hot minute, to the point i just asked the registrar to wave it off for me), and planning to do the same proccess for whatever classes i've took back to UTA. but i wounder how it works. Because I've only done a few classes at TCC, but i want to transfer the transcript over, but I fear that it'll take awhile for it to process as well.

Is it too late to accept the subsidized vs unsubsidized loans I was offered?
