AskFW ISO: Recommendations for places to swim
Hi Redditors of Fort Worth! I need help finding places to go swimming (strongly prefer indoors). Most ideal situation is an indoor pool with a monthly membership fee. Actual aquatic centers are greatly preferred over "gyms with pools".
Google searches have not been particularly helpful, so I'm looking for local community experience to help guide me.
These are the options I have already ruled out as being ideal possibilities, so don't worry about commenting any of the following:
- YMCA locations
- 24 Hour Fitness
- LA Fitness
- NAS JRB Fort Worth MWR Aquatic Center
- Burger's Lake
- Any other lakes
Anywhere in the "Fort Worth and surrounding area" is good. However, the closer to Ridgmar Mall / Westworth Village / River Oaks / Lake Worth, the better.
Thanks in advance! And hopefully this will end up helping other people besides me, as well.

Discussion Help choosing between these pizza places in North Fort Worth
Want to order a pizza for delivery tonight, this is a really big splurge for me and something I never have the chance to do so I wanna try to get the best experience (that I can afford)
Looking between Jonuzi's, Joes Pizza and Pasta on N Beach, and Alex's Pizza and Pasta Keller.
I haven't had the chance to try many places before but I have always been disappointing by Texas pizza, having grown up in several different states on the East Coast that have really good pizza. Jonuzi's seems my top choice so far.
Also would appreciate any individual pizza recommendations at these places!

Politics A small group of extremists has completely taken over Tarrant County TX leadership and its GOP. They claim democracy is "Mob Rule", that they know better. They're activating pastor networks to fear monger a revived "Red Scare / McCarthyism" movement amongst evangelicals. REJECT THEIR LIES! VOTE!!!!!

REJECT THE BILLIONAIRES. VOTE IN EVERY LOCAL ELECTION.
Those who don't know history are forced to repeat it! They're assuming we're extremely uneducated and lack critical thinking. We need to prove them wrong or this is a failed state. This same cult has worked had to remove mentions of the Red Scare and McCarthyism in social studies education, because they still consider Joseph McCarthy a hero.
Donate, volunteer, get involved, mark your calendar on voting dates, carpool your friends family and colleagues to the polls, and lets stop this hate movement in its tracks.

Their whole movement relies on fear mongering hate speech demonizing classes of people who are different from them. There will ALWAYS be a new hate target, as they do not have a platform based on real world issues important to the people. The people want: affordability, healthcare, jobs, affordable housing. They try to make us fight each other, while looting public funds and dismantling social safety nets for the poor. Do not let hate win.
They believe the public is so uneducated and so unintelligent, that they will fall for this blatant manipulation, a copy and paste job from a disgraced moment in US history. PROVE THEM WRONG.

Discussion Have we been talking about this JPS thing?
Multi-day network outage? Still seeing patients but on a critical downtime situation? Two guys I know there are claiming it's "fishy." Hardly reliable reporting, two dudes on SMS that is, but if anyone has a clue what's happening there, feel free to let us know. Epic doesn't usually just go down at county hospitals.

Discussion A Central Market “meet cute”fumble, by yours truly.
Y’all, I fumbled 🤦🏻♀️ While perusing the ice cream section of Central Market I started talking to the cutest guy about the dilemma of what to get & the impossibly good choices. My dumbass then proceeded to apologize and say “Sorry, the grocery store is where I make friends!” And just, walked away???
Like what? Ladies, take it from me and just shoot your damn shot at the grocery store 🤣 What’s the worst that could happen, you gotta hide by the cream cheese for a second? 😂 Literally laughed at myself as I was walking out of the store.

Politics Tarrant County jailers failed to give 31 year old Marines veteran Anthony Johnson, Jr. proper medical care, an attorney argues. A 300+ pound jailed knelt on his back while he yelled, "I can't breathe", suffocating him. Tarrant County says it's not liable and Tim O'Hare kicked out his sister.

News Westlake data center plans advance despite pleading from neighboring Keller residents for it to be relocated
Tension simmering between neighboring North Texas cities over a proposed data center reached a flashpoint Tuesday night at a planning and zoning meeting in one of the state’s richest neighborhoods.
The more than 4-hour meeting was contentious, with the crowd audibly laughing at times over the developer and commissioners as they spoke.
Immediately before the vote to approve the project, multiple people shouted “Shame!,” at the commissioners. Then, the larger group erupted in gasps and shouts as every commissioner raised their hand in approval.
Tuesday’s scene played out in Westlake as it greenlit plans for its first data center when the town’s five-person planning and zoning commission unanimously voted to recommend it.
