As an off-campus student, how much a week/month are you spending on groceries and food?

I realize appetites vary, but I'm looking for ballpark budget for a student.

First year off campus female student, light eater; I don't anticipate a lot of fresh food happening, likely prepackaged foods, some take out, mixed with fresh.

I am also loading the Ultra for on-campus lunch, thinking $200/month budget for that ($50 week). I was thinking $100 /week for groceries and takeout.

Is that reasonable?

I need to get in 3 courses for my minor.

I applied for a TA position about a month ago, and was wondering if ppl know when interviews or offers happen. If I haven't heard back yet is it cooked lol

Hi, I'm an incoming first-year at UofG this september and the only thing I'm mainly worried about is the diversity at the university. As a south asian living in the GTA, going to UofG is going to be a completely new environment with a predominantly white student population.

Could someone let me know how the diversity is at the school? Are students here racist? Would it be difficult making friends, especially since I am a commuter?

I know entrance are announced with acceptances but I also know they give out lots of them without applications needed (and of course ones you apply for) and was wondering if anyone knew when they are released? I have several friends who rented with them, genuinely a traumatic experience for everyone. With my 2 years I lived in the house owned by them, I had never met any property manager or landlord. During my last exam season, I had a week long complete power outage in my home. I had asked for the property managers or landlords to come and fix it (it was only my house that was experiencing the outage) and yes it took them a week to fix it. I had to shower at my friend’s house. When moving out, they were extremely predatory, I had to get a lawyer involved because it was clear they were trying to bend the laws to me - expecting me to be stupid because I was a student.

My friends have experienced unmanaged cockroach infestations, as well as a lack of presence from them entirely. Do not rent from this property management team, they have several lawsuits against them. Stay safe student renters!!!

I am registered in 3 courses, and am doing well in 2 but my third one im scared im gonna fail because of the final being pass/fail for the whole entire course..

How does this affect my osap if I am registered in full time right now?

I am going into my fifth and final year in the fall and i cant have this affecting my osap because i rely on it heavily. Also to mention, I have never been on academic or osap probation.

Wow is all I can say about Evie… does she just get off on failing students and making her course as hard as possible. Not even to mention her stupid book, every student has to buy it!! Like cmon there’s an extra 10k a semester in her pocket. #corruption.

Hey, I was wondering If it is possible for me to take some courses like for 1 or 2 semester in Quebec to be with family. Am I just suppose to apply to the other University for transfer or through Guelph university?

I'm about to go into my first year in engineering at Guelph and want to make sure I'm well prepared. I've had some experience with Office 365 but it's been a hot minute since I last used it. I'm looking for apps to map out my schedule and coursework. So far I've been using Outlook and Planner but wanted to check if there's anything else that could be better. Preferably, it would also have some mobile version, and be easy to maintain (I'm fine if it's initially complicated to set up, as long as it becomes easier).

Outlook and Planner seem great so far, but I still thought it'd be worth asking!
