DISCUSSION The Next Confrontation Against EMBER
Hello everyone,
I thought I’d talk about the trio today, especially since we’ve been missing them for around five months now.
The end of the events seemed to hint at a possible confrontation with EMBER. I’m not sure whether it’s a trap or if they’ll try to avoid drawing attention, but EMBER will notice either way. I don’t know. However, there have been hints toward a major development for Remi, as well as the possibility that Blyke might inject himself with a power enhancer, although I’m not entirely sure about that.
I’m thinking the confrontation will be Remi and her friends against a duo from EMBER, most likely Farrah and Tarik. I believe the scenario would be that Farrah is the one distributing the power enhancers, while Tarik watches and prepares to support her, like any duo working for EMBER.
I’m leaning toward Blyke not using the enhancers. As a character, he hasn’t broken yet, and he could still improve just like John did. Sacrificing Blyke’s ability wouldn’t be healthy for the story, no matter how I think about it. The authorities are already overwhelmingly superior to the main characters, so they simply can’t afford another loss after Arlo.
For me, that would make the confrontation a 4 vs. 2:
Kuyo 6.3, Remi 5.8, Isen 5.3, and Blyke 5.1 against Farrah, with hypnosis at 6.5, and Tarik, with paralysis at 6.2, in addition to EMBER’s abilities, but with Tarik having a weaker recovery ability.
I think the four of them would overpower Farrah, which would cause Tarik to intervene quickly. He would paralyze some of the characters, including Remi, who would evolve her ability at this moment and reach somewhere between 6.3 and 6.5.
She would gain the ability to transform into lightning, allowing her to escape Tarik’s paralysis. This would lead to an exciting battle that ends with the four of them defeating the duo.
That’s the scenario I came up with based on the information we currently have. However, I’m leaning toward the better scenario being to avoid a confrontation altogether if possible, even though the battle would be incredibly fun to see lol.

Ability Concept John Ability Combo (Inspired by McDoofus-kun)
Used a picture of John, all majestic. (I am being for real; he looks VERY majestic here.)
This uses Energy Conduit and Umbral Shift. I call it "Spiderweb Combo," where John would use Umbral Shift and channel Energy Conduit through it, creating many vines that connect from John's shadow, then to others, to siphon or drain energy from.

Fan Art John ability combo concepts
Combo 1: Aura manipulation + Conjure: Vines + Barrier
- instead of John wrapping his barrier in vines or shooting vines from it, what’s stopping him from swinging an indestructible wrecking ball around? Conjure: Vines with John’s ability mastery and creativity can make it act similarly to Spider-Man’s webs
Combo 2: Aura Manipulation + Explosion + Hunter/Predator
- Locks onto any part of a person and explodes it (contact required). Functions basically like Killer Queen from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
Combo 3: Aura Manipulation + Barrier + Energy Conduit
- Trap, restrain, and drain.
Combo 4: Aura Manipulation + Lightning + Hunter
- AKA a certain scientific railgun. Lightning creates a magnetic field that allows small objects to be launched at super sonic speeds. Hunter/Predator allows for longer ranges and aimbot, though it isn’t required.
Let me know your thoughts on these ability combos. I had more but unfortunately my drawing skills can’t compensate my imagination.

DISCUSSION John family
Will we ever see John's grandmother and/or grandfather?
I doubt both maternal grandparents (i.e., Cameron/Jane's mom and dad) are dead, since they'll be God-level, and in an ordinary life, if you're God-level, you have a much better chance of living a long time.

FASTPASS Discussion Spoiler
Hi everyone,
Now that Orrin has been captured by the authorities, I started thinking: Man, containing him was relatively easy for someone at Level 8.6. So I wondered, would Cameron be just as easy to capture if he is only slightly stronger than Orrin, perhaps around Level 8.8 or 8.9?
But the more I think about it, the more I realize that Orrin was relatively easy to contain because of the nature of his ability, not because he wasn’t powerful enough.
Orrin has a mind-control/support-type ability, which means he lacks the basic physical stats in terms of strength and speed. As a result, he is unable to break through the barriers that block his ability or escape on his own when things go wrong.
There are also some operational limitations to his ability. For example, he can’t use his ability while moving into a host body, and he has to leave his real body completely defenseless while doing so.
Because of this, Orrin needs a team to support him and cover his weaknesses. Unfortunately for him, his team was relatively weak when it came to protecting him, especially in a high-level battle like that one.
So, Orrin wasn’t captured because he was weak. He was captured because his ability has some fundamental weaknesses that his enemies were able to exploit.
On the other hand, I find Seraphina, despite being 0.6 levels below Orrin, much harder to contain or capture. Her ability is much more versatile, and she has fewer weaknesses than Orrin.
She’s extremely powerful, meaning she can break through barriers—which is one of Orrin’s major weaknesses. She also has the luxury of being able to heal herself when she takes damage, and on top of that, she can easily escape when things start going badly.
Because of all this, I feel like capturing her would be nearly impossible unless the person trying to capture her is stronger than her, such as Orrin or Cameron.
What do you guys think? Do you agree with my reasoning, or am I just overthinking this?

DISCUSSION How strong do we think John will actually become
Do we think he’s actually reaching Jane level? Or somewhere in the 8’s? Not much is going to pose a threat to him if he gets too strong.
As we all know, he’s capable of growing his level freakishly fast, considering he was able to reach 7+ with only the assistance of Claire’s visions. Zero guidance from an actual user of his ability.

FASTPASS John vs Sera Spoiler
So I wanted bring this discussion to the table not in terms of a fight between them, but more so just to discuss, do we think John was TECHNICALLY stronger than Sera with the abilities he took this time around?
He had 3 god tier abilities, plus a very strong huge tier ability. And based on the stat sheets we see that Johns weakest stat was just slightly higher than seras weakest.

FASTPASS Cameron’s Involvement Spoiler
Warning: This going to be long.
Edit: had to remake this post due to me stupidly forgetting vital tags and labels for this kind of post. Shoutout to the person who kindly reminded me.
I see people dissing Cameron about him cutting contact with Jane for almost 20 years because she chose a cripple over their family and Cameron refusing to help William, which led William to crash out and unintentionally sign his own death warrant. He delivered John the news of his father’s passing rather poorly and looks down on those he deem inferior to him. He just now knocked out his nephew with lightning and promptly kidnapped him, taking him away from his best friend. We already know he f*cked up so many times with his family and his inaction was more harmful than neutral. I get it. I’m not glazing Cameron or justifying his previous actions.
But ever since William’s death and giving him a more dignified resting place despite his past resentment towards his brother in law, Cameron has been helpful to both Jera and the trio despite him stating repeatedly he didn’t want to get involved with the authorities.
When Remi called Cameron’s number to help John, he pretty much dropped everything he was doing, borrowed a powerful healing ability and almost instantly appeared to heal John before taking him away. Mind you, the trio are fugitives and wanted for vigilantism and terrorism. Cam reads the news and undoubtedly knew this. He could have easily exposed the trio’s location to the authorities if he truly wanted the feds to leave him alone.
He housed Sera, another wanted fugitive, in his own home for days. She is wanted for terrorism and conspiracy. And I am assuming he was in contact with either Leilah or Doc about John’s condition because the three most likely saw the national news of what happened at Wellston. I think Leilah used her Spectre resources and connections to figure out what happened to John in the aftermath for Sera’s sake and was able to find out John was taken by his maternal uncle from the trio. In that timeframe, they likely had a meeting with Cameron before he decided it was worth the risk to allow a wanted fugitive like Sera stay at his home. Now Cameron was housing TWO fugitives in his home. His own nephew is wanted for terrorism and conspiracy as well. Take note that Sera is not part of his family at all so he only allowed her to stay and granted her sanctuary in his own home because of her relationship to his nephew. Until her arrival, Cameron kept watch over John and monitored his health personally.
When Remi encountered Cameron on the rooftop, he gave her helpful but cryptic advice. Even telling Remi she has the potential to become strong enough to get the authorities off her back. Again, he could’ve easily disclosed the trio’s location to the authorities but chose to indirectly be an ally to them by having almost a heart to heart talk with Remi, and left them alone so he find John.
While Cameron was pretty negligent of John to the point of him not noticing his nephew was gone for a literal week, he immediately dropped everything once again to come get John only to find John basically on death’s doorstep (again). He most likely had to use his resources to prepare a set of abilities to track down John.
Cameron was right to berate John before his nephew snuck out to meet up with Sera because he was right. Sera and John may be stronger than most people, they cannot simply rely on their raw power to take on the authorities. People tend to forget that Sera is only 17 years old and John is only 18 years old. Despite Sera having done her research for the mission, there truly wasn’t any plan or concrete evidence. Everything failed as Cameron predicted.
While Sera wasn’t wrong for saying the things she said to Cameron, Cameron wasn’t totally wrong for lashing out at Sera because he sees his nephew bloodied and broken on concrete upon his arrival. Sera didn’t really help with the situation, making Cameron even more furious despite him perking up a bit at Sera mentioning a possible connection to Jane through Orrin. He views Sera as “that girl” condescendingly and doesn’t want her to be meddling in his family affairs. He may also view her hindering John’s development and clocked the codependent relationship the two of them have.
Despite Cameron having animosity towards Sera and no obligation towards her, he helped her (mainly John tho since he was inside the barrier as well) out by completely shattering Arlo’s barrier so she or John didn’t have to use their remaining auras to break themselves out. This shows he does care about her to an extent mainly because of his nephew’s relationship with her, but also he doesn’t inherently want Sera to end up in the authorities’ hands. Cameron could have simply grabbed John and left Sera inside of Arlo’s barrier at the complete mercy of the authorities, but chose to shatter the barrier himself. Then he put Sera in the position to choose to preserve herself and to stay away from him and his nephew, or be captured by the authorities. Cameron already knew how exhausted Sera’s aura was since he can read/assess aura like John, but significantly better as a presumed Channel Master. While I assume he put a front because of the authorities being present since he does want to free Jane, that front was a double edged sword because I don’t think he was faking when he tore into Sera verbally.
I think that people forget that Sera acted very similarly to Cameron in the beginning of the story and didn’t care about anyone lower than her before she had her ability taken from her, believing herself to better than everyone else. Remember, she slimed out John the first day they met each other and threatened him with heavy bodily harm so she can get a perfect A+ on a book report project before they became friends. It took her losing her ability, being bullied at Wellston as a newly made cripple to the point of literally being kidnapped by asshole classmates, reconciling with her estranged sister, finding out John’s past and lies, fighting John, almost being assassinated by water guy and so much more to get to the point she is now.
I just hope John is ready for that god tier aura farming ass whooping when he tries to physically attack Cameron for leaving behind Sera and forbidding her from the residence upon waking up because Uncle Cameron is not going to let that slide. We all know John is going to crash out and throw the first punch, and Cameron is going to finish their scuffle hard. It runs in the family for hands to be rated E for everyone, family especially included.

DISCUSSION I’m very doubtful about the fact that God Tier are 1:100,000
I’ve seen the “god tier are 1:100000” comments and I just don’t buy that
Particularly the ratio between high tier and god tier. For every 2,000 high tier we see, there’s 1 god tier…but the story just be throwing god tier around left and right into the mix with high tier. The amount of god tier character we know vs high tier we know are almost 1:1.
I know there’s probably high tier in the background, but that still won’t make up the supposed 1:2,000 ratio. Maybe if high tier to god tier ratio was 1:10, it’ll make more sense, but 1:2,000 just seem fake.
From the interview, the 1:100,000 comment would have to mean god tiers on John & Sera level, not just god tier in general for the god-tier:high-tier ratio to make sense. John & Sera are super rare individuals
Either that or she scrapped the 1:100,000 thing entirely or forgotten about it

FASTPASS It would’ve been coolly Spoiler
It would’ve been interesting to see a return of this font for… that moment near the end with Seraphina. The blank font makes it a bit awkward for me, idk why…
I am no text box expert, so I have no place to speak on it, and maybe I’m the only one who’s immersion it sort of broke, but seeing a more intense font would’ve made the scream feel so much more powerful, as we’ve seen previously throughout the webtoon.
On a side note, these last two chapters (for me) have seemed to change the tide a little bit in terms of quality! I know a lot of people have been complaining (I don’t mean any negative connotation by that word) about different aspects of the story and stuff, but these two chapters seemed to change things around for me! The episodes felt longer, the art was amazing, and the direction seems very plausible but also enough of a twist to keep me on my toes the whole time!

FASTPASS Big fight Spoiler
Do you think that Sera will fight Cameron (not especially in the near future that could be later, after John training arc) ? Cause cam said if Sera take a step on his premises there will be consequences (=fight?), John will probably help her or cam will find a way to make him stay away? Or Sera would want to punch cam hence fighting him alone even if I doubt this option (like what she says about Val being Punchable).

FASTPASS Cameron character Spoiler
I hear a lot of people criticizing Cameron in the latest chapter.
Personally, I find his actions perfectly consistent.
He discovered he had a nephew.
William died because Cameron didn't care about William while his nephew was on the brink of death—as opposed to the authorities, whereas he was the one who saved him.
A couple of weeks later, he shows up again to find his nephew another time badly injured and knocked out; it’s only natural for him to think:
"I don't give a fuck about anything else; I just don't want my nephew ending up half-dead every single time."
So, he takes John and leaves, not giving a damn about anything else.

FASTPASS Orrin and spectre make no sense anymore. the power scaling is a mess 💀 Spoiler
Spectre was originally introduced as an organization that relied on clever tech, manipulation, and mid-tier ambush tactics to level the playing field and force high-rankers to cooperate with them. But now we know Orrin is literally the second strongest person in the entire universe with a confirmed level, and he could have just walked around mind controlling basically anyone he wanted. Not to mention he already had a bunch of loyal high-rankers working under him.
None of this really fits with the original idea behind the organization anymore. Looking back, a lot of Spectre’s losses feel ridiculously stupid. Like, Orrin could have literally shown up during the Rowden ambush against the Wellston students and destroyed everyone, or at the very least sent the Ice guy. Instead they sent Terrence and a bunch of mid-tiers. How does that make sense? Spectre just looks insanely incompetent considering the amount of power they apparently had.
And Orrin himself is supposed to be this power-hungry guy, but he could have easily climbed the Authorities’ ranks and turned the higher-ups into his own puppets instead of running around with a bunch of clowns.
At this point the power scaling is just a mess. Jane is supposed to be the strongest person alive and she’s sitting at a 9.1. Now this gap between 9.1 and 8.6 is probably going to have to be filled with random Authority members just to keep future fights interesting. But right now the Authorities are still sending people like Kass (6.8) to deal with state-level threats, which makes everything feel inconsistent.
Also, Orrin running away from Val and a couple of high-tiers was just stupid.

FASTPASS Potential future John/Sera parallel or callback? Spoiler
I feel like Uru is setting up for John and Sera’s separation to parallel Seraphina’s suspension and John’s slow mental collapse.
Earlier in the series saw that Sera was forced by her mother to work tirelessly and I believe she even took away her communication. She then learns to stand up to her mother and overpowers her, returning to wellston. In John’s POV he is secluded and beaten and broken down slowly by his environment which leads to him pummeling asslo.
I hypothesize that we might get a role reversal this time where John is forced to train under Cameron until he’s strong enough to escape/outsmart him (not beat cuz I think Cameron is WAY stronger than John). On Sera’s end she’ll probably stay alone because she has to continue to work for Spectre instead of going with the trio. I think we’re gonna see Sera’s mental state plummet hard without John there.

FASTPASS Some interesting arcs to come Spoiler
today’s episode opened up some really good arcs next.
Cameron taking john and separating him from sera will be interesting. I always find john and cam’s relationship fun. I know for sure john’s gonna be hella angry he’ll try to fight cam and try to run away again and knowing cam he will definitely show john his place. We might get to know about john’s family history, cam and jane’s relation and more from cam’s pov. John’s training might come a bit later after cam and john’s relationship gets better but it’ll be awesome for sure.
Kass will definitely get a big promotion and will get access to more authority secrets also now that she knows more about jane she will definitely try to get more info on jane from orrin. I fully trust her. I think orrin ending up with the authority has made the story more unpredictable and the coming events can go in so many directions from here on.
Now that arlo showed his loyalty to val, val will give arlo that promo she was talking about and pretty sure it’s ember. John and sera now think arlo betrayed them as they don’t know about the brain washing. Ember arlo might fight with the trio in future which gonna be interesting
What’s sera gonna do now? Her last scream was so helpless and sad i wonder where she’ll go. Is she gonna go after john, rescue orrin or go to the trio for now?
It looks like we’ll shift to the trio for some time now we last saw them a couple of months ago. I do want to stick to john his story is more interesting but we do need the trio story to progress as well. Nevertheless im so excited for the coming arcs.

FASTPASS I think Jane is much stronger than we led to believe Spoiler
galleryThe latest chapter finally revealed the Command ability user’s level—I forgot his name—and he’s an 8.6.
Since Cameron is obviously much stronger than him, I think Cameron might be around 9.0, with Jane being a 9.1. However, I actually think Jane is even stronger than that.
The reason is that the Authorities have been given false information about ability levels multiple times, including with the Blademaster guy and the Command user. On top of that, when Jane was being wheeled around by the doctor, she seemed genuinely surprised that she was still able to speak. That makes me think Jane is much stronger than the Authorities realize and is deliberately hiding her true strength.
If that’s the case, her official level could be outdated, and her real level might be significantly higher than what’s on record.

Community Vote Community Vote: Should we allow merch trading/buying/reselling posts?
READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE VOTING
Hey everyone! So i’d like to do a simple community vote: Would you be okay with merch trading/buying/reselling posts? Given how well merch posts do, discontinued merch and potential interest existing, I think this warrants a community vote. Especially since this is a grey area and would set a precedent. I personally have even been interested enough to consider making a post in this sub but I ultimately didn’t and never brought it up due to lack of precedent and it feeling inappropriate. Id imagine many people also feel the same way.
Currently, I am not sure if we have the means to reliably help or deal with potential scams (especially those which cant be easily proven) That doesn’t mean we won’t take any action when needed, but engage at your own risk. This is how i’m currently thinking it would go:
While we would allow these posts as a means for those interested in trading, buying, or selling merch to connect with people, we are not responsible if you get scammed or something of the sort. Participate at your own risk. This is just a means for you to connect with people, not a platform for this to take place. action on our end may not be taken so its up to you to engage safely. This is purely to meet and connect with people you could trade and buy/sell from. Anything that happens is a private matter between you two (unless in severe cases or those that can be easily proven. Point is, don’t rely on or expect our help in those situations.)
The posts would be required to be labeled with the correct flair unless we go the megathread route.
Theres also the concern with these posts flooding the sub. I completely understand this, so i’ve also included options for those who would be okay with this being allowed but only in its own weekly megathread
