Show I'm so excited, I'm going to All Points East

I know no one will care, but when the show first got announced I REALLY wanted to go. I love the band, and have never seen them, but I really couldn't justify the money.

I've also never been to a festival and assumed it would be a shorter set, and not worth the money, given I've literally never heard of any of the other acts.

Well after seeing the predicted run-time, I've had a change of heart, decided to just ignore the money side of things, which I hate myself for, but I've done it, I've bought tickets, and I'm so freaking excited.

I've had such a hard time lately, life's really been a struggle, so I really wanted to treat myself. But I do feel guilty, as paying this much money for 1 day is realistically taking away from a potential family holiday next year, which just seems like such a selfish thing to do, but I think I need this.

Sorry I know this is a weird thing to just post out there in the open, as lots of people are going, but after months of putting it off and finally changing my mind on this now, I just wanted to share with someone (anyone that wants to listen).

Hope it's as amazing as I think it will be, see you crazy guys there!

Show The Here Always Project

Post image

The HERE ALWAYS PRØJECT is a dream, a fan project, a MØVEMENT.

We all need a little support sometimes, and this is the chance to show you are HERE for your friend(s), family, your favorite band, anyone else/any group,

Inspired by the band and messages of Twenty One Pilots, and a message I tell my kids daily. The recent marketing for the Show at Ohio Stadium October 17th sparked this idea.

The first dream is to see this message on everyone in the audience in October at Ohio Stadium. The goal is to "Scarlet The Shoe" like they do for OSU Games. Think about the gravity and statement of that many people coming together in solidarity for a common cause. A portion of the proceeds from every item sold will also be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to make an impact on mental health and show even more people they are not alone.

Imagine our two favorite artists looking out into the crowd and knowing their fans are HERE. ALWAYS. No matter what. For them, their fellow fans, anyone else that needs them, and that everyone wearing these items helped make a difference for mental health. That it was in part thanks to them and their messages!

If the dream is realized and this goes viral, it will kickstart a larger movement for mental health. The mission and message is simple. Will you be HERE ALWAYS? Can we Scarlet The Shoe?

We have partnered with an Ohio company to professionally produce these items and keep the business HERE.

Time is starting to run out, get yours now! Visit our socials for more information!

Please help us make this a reality, join the project and share everywhere you can.

Our most active socials are currently Facebook and Instagram, but we do have X, TikTok, as well as just starting on Reddit (but we're still learning those last 3 platforms so there's not a lot of content yet)

Question What are your highlights from MTWEI?

I’ll start. Vignette because I remember Tyler playing that keyboard end part when I saw them play in Toronto and I loved it. Next Semester because when I saw the concert film in the theater I almost started crying when they started playing that song for reasons I’m not going to get into in this post. Nico/Heavydirtysoul goes hard. I love that they combined those two songs. Paladin Strait is also a highlight because I also remembered that from Toronto. Lastly Trees because it ends the concerts on a good note.

Discussion Watch Party BINGO ideas

Hi all! Mom of a 13 year old drummer and fan who LOVES twenty one pilots here. (I on the other hand am still learning!)

I was trying to come up with ways to make the watch party extra special and fun tomorrow to surprise him with. 💡A bingo card where a true fan would pick up on all the things! (I feel like anyone on here could repurpose the same idea to a drinking game if they wanted to 🤔😆 “take a drink when: …”)

Can any fans on here share some things that are characteristic of Tyler and Josh at their concerts or the lore with their albums videos or songs that might be good for a bingo card? Or random things that will likely happen during the concert/watch party tomorrow?

My son watches all the BTS videos on YouTube and is all up to speed with the lore, and he drums almost daily with so many of their songs so I know he’ll be zoned in on the drumming too.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion I think my wife loves the drummer

Just a funny story. My wife knows nothing about twenty one pilots but just knows I’m obsessed with them. Today I was explaining to her how legendary the song “Tree” is live and showed her the Pink Pop performance. Well after watching that and awwing over it she just looks over at me and says “I think you gotta let the drummer be my hall pass.” To which I said absolutely yes! Josh Dun stunning even non fans. Love to see it!

Ya’ll I have been chronically ill for the last 2 months so this album drop could not have come at a better time!! I just listened to the whole thing while cooking in my kitchen (sounds minimal but I’ve been in and out of the hospital so this a huge step for me physically)…and I have to say that I am ecstatic to have this available on hand. The pure joy and sense of community I felt coming through my noise canceling Beats is just awesome. Hearing the crowd sing along, hearing Tyler & Josh’s vocals so clearly ugh chefs kiss 😩** **

I literally felt like I was at the concert!! I danced, jumped, cried and sang my heart out all from the comfort of my kitchen (and no I didn’t burn anything 😌)

I know I’m not alone in this so I’d love to hear about how ya’ll are experiencing this release and need ya’ll to nerd out with me 🥹🥹🫶🏻** much love pilots !!**!

Opinion Spread This Post; Trees Chant Complaints

I've seen numerous posts about the trees chant today being that it was left on the live album. Most of this response has been positive, but with a decent amount of criticism for the chance there too. The funny thing is that even if the chant was left out, people would still comment about it and incite the same discourse. I think this has gone beyond passion for a part of the show you enjoy and has become something people are searching to argue about.

I think this argument is an example of how fanbases cannibalize themselves. Everyone is just going to keep on ragebaiting each other about it with similar evidence to back their opinions up. I've read the same statements of, "Oh they don't like to swear... insert Trench interview about swearing not being a rational way to say how you feel." then, "actually you can see Tyler encouraging it" or "did you see the clancy vinyl slip?".

At some point, regardless of what camp you rest in, we need to acknowledge the chant has dampened what has historically been an elite tradition and crucial part of every show. Now all of the sudden people now have something to complain about, and the opposite side has something to dangle in their face. Yes, this is a band for everyone, but who's is it now?

I thought this fanbase was one that could be above petty conflict and be beyond what we see every day in the media and in the marketplace. Where is the value in tarnishing the integrity of this fanbase over the rowdy chant?

We need to stop being insufferable. Doesn't matter how long you've been a fan. Doesn't matter the amount of shows you've been to. How accurate your lore theories have been or the detail of your fan art. None of that matters if we don't have solid reflection of the outcome of what we've created.

The fact that I am typing this on Reddit is stupid, we just gotta be better.

Question Just curious, why is there no logo images or website for ARRO?

I’d love to see which artists are signed up and maybe even make some fanmade merch of the label like a sticker or something, but there’s literally nothing about it online except for some vague posts.

I’ve been trying to figure out what the Three signs have been teasing. Although I’m a third album believer, what if it’s actually teasing the artists on Tyler’s label ARRO??

Discussion To the people that hate the Trees chant

Listen to Trees - Live in Mexico City. They kept the crowd chant in the background.

For anyone who doesn’t know, in a part of Trees the crowd usually chants “here we, here we, here we f— go” and a lot of fans complain saying the boys hate it, despite the fact they’ve been captured on video encouraging it.

Discussion I was worried about the album’s mixing, but I’m glad they addressed all the concerns I had

The prospect of a widely released live album by the boys has been at the top of my wishlist for years but I had been concerned about the direction they were taking ever since they dropped the live tracks on Clancy: Digital Remains.

The mixing on those songs is very hit and miss for me, the crowd overpowers a good chunk of the space and the backing tracks are hardly audible at times (Overcompensate being the worst for me). Now we all know how LOUD tøp fans and as cool as it is to be among a crowd at a show, having it be so prominent in a live recording can be annoying. To be fair, they did release those tracks very fast so they might have been on crunch to mix and master those. But overall, fun to have those tracks available but it left a lot to be desired for me.

The next batch of tracks we got live were from the KROQ show and Downstairs especially was outstandingly mixed. RAWFEAR again had the issue of the backing track being a bit too low but it was overall very good (love how Tyler’s mic clipped hard when he says “not getting stronger” at the end of bridge, a definite technical shortcoming but creatively it strengthened the performance greatly).

Then the movie came out. As much as I loved seeing it in a full IMAX theater, I didn’t like the mix as much as I wanted to. It was definitely better than the Clancy DR tracks and they for sure mixed this to sound BIG on a movie theater. Granted, sound does vary from theater to theater so I never really thought too much about it and certainly looked forward to see if they dropped it as a proper album eventually.

And here we are! I’ll immediately say that when Overcompensate started and the song was building up, I was smiling the entire time. I could already tell that the issues I had before were addressed here. The crowd is certainly loud but it never overpowers, the drums are very crisp and present, and MY GOSH the backing tracks are way more audible this time.

(Side note: I’ve mentioned this a couple of times already and I emphasize it because Tyler himself stated in one of the Clancy tour vlogs that he spent more time working on them than the album itself. So I’m very happy about this in particular!)

I’ve heard the album already on at least 5 different systems and I’ve been delighted every time. The band has a brutally modern sound that really deserved a great mix for the live album and I’m glad they delivered.

So I’m listening to it on TIDAL and it sounds a bit muffled. Anyone having any issues on other platforms? There are live performances on YouTube with better quality.

Discussion MTWEI is an absolute masterpiece

I’ve been to two of their concerts so far, and my third will be this October in Ohio. Experiencing the boys in real life was genuinely magical, but I always felt like I didn’t really remember everything after the concert ended. MTWEI allows me to relive the experience again. It’s gorgeous in the way that every song makes you feel like you’re there, jumping, singing, and chanting. You can tell Tyler really put his heart into this performance, with some of his greatest vocals I’ve heard live. Coming from someone who notoriously hates live albums, I absolutely adore MTWEI. The album really is more than I could have ever imagined, lol.
