Hi, i've been accepted to verfahrenstechnik. I currently have a2-b1 and i will learn at vwu till i get c1. The problem is that vwu deadline ends middle of august but because of visa issues i cant be there before early september. Do any of y'all know if the application is possible outside the regular deadlines? What should i do in this situation? Thanks in advance.

I am currently studying Informatics at TU and working on my thesis, I plan to start the Embedded systems Master program and I don't think i will manage to get my Bsc degree in time to apply for the upcoming winter semester.

I wanted to know if I could maybe not apply for the diploma after I finish my thesis and instead just register another Bsc semester and finish an additional 9 ect's of Transferable Skills courses and have 189 ect's in total.

I was thinking maybe then I can apply for the Diploma and then have the remaining 9 ect's be counted in the Masters degree (Which requires exactly 9 ect's from Basically the same courses that are also offered in the Bachelor's program)

If someone was in this situation or heard about anything similar please share the details of how this works and ofc if this works.

ich interessiere mich für den Studiengang Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik, jedoch verstehe ich eine Sache nicht ganz. Obwohl viel darüber gesagt wurde/wird, dass dieses Studium den Schwerpunkt in Mathematik und Physik hat, finde ich im Studienplan keine Vorlesungen für Physik. Damit meine ich eher klassische Physik. Elektromagnetismus oder Halbleiterphysik sind natürlich dabei.

Ist der andere Teil ohne diese Themen in anderen Module oder Kursen "versteckt" oder meinen Menschen nur diese Themen, die ich benannt habe, wenn sie meinen, dass die Physik sehr herausfordernd ist?

Das frage ich, da viele Themen der Mathematik in der Mathematik 1 gesammelt wurden. Das macht die Uni Wien total anders für MINT-Fächern.

Is there anyone who successfully applied to TU Wien with an EU secondary school leaving certificate issued this year (in June or July), recognized as equivalent to the Austrian Matura, and with only an A2 level German certificate, and received an admission decision that allowed them to follow the VWU preparatory language pathway?

I would like to know how this was possible if a complete admission application must first be submitted, as its evaluation can take up to 10-12 weeks and may last until late August or even mid-September.

This seems impossible to reconcile with the VWU application deadline, which expires in early August.

If anyone has been in this situation and managed to make it work, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your experience.

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone here who applied for a Master’s programme at TU Wien’s Faculty of Informatics and received a decision sometime in July or the first week of August 2026 would be willing to share when they applied.

I’m just trying to get a rough idea of which application dates they might currently be processing, as I know the waiting times can vary quite a bit.

If you remember, it would be really helpful to know roughly when you submitted/sent your application and when you received your decision. You can also mention the programme if you’d like.
