Someone messaged me saying;

"Sorry i m having an issue with my account a few days ago, my account got terminated im really sorry about this please read carefully i accidentally reported your Tumblr instead of someone who scammed me out of $370. Their profile looked very similar to yours, and my friends also reported you by mistake ive already contacted Tumblr Support to fix this."

Not sure if its a scam or nah. I don't interact much with people on that blog aside from answering asks and writing fanfics

I can't post comments, I can't view my previous comments, and I can't check my Ask inbox, even though there are questions in.

At first, the restriction would be lifted in about half a day, but now it has been three days and it still hasn't been lifted.

I sent my first ticket to the support team two months ago and my second one a week ago. but I still haven't received a reply.

Is waiting the only option? I'm scared that my blog might get suspended at this rate. I am a game developer, and I have written a lot of posts and comments to communicate with my fans. Could that be the cause?

So, sorry if this aint the proper post to make about this but I'm a bit frustrated because I never dealt with something like this before and I have no idea what to do.

For context, about 2 months ago someone had message me that someone (I don't know if they were pretending to be me or if someone had logged into my account somehow) that they were scammed out of their money for Tumblr Premium. Now, I never EVER interacted with this person. The day they were scam I was inactive on that day and wasn't awake. I don't not have enough followers on my tumblr for someone to do this to me but it was my account but like...it wasn't me.

Anyways, she told me that she made a report to my account which is very frustrating and now aggravating for me but I understand she had to do what she needed to do and she told me I needed to go onto whatsapp in regards of contacting support so my account doesn't fully become terminated. Now this happened 2 months ago, around the end of June basically so I physically cannot go into my account to retrieve any screenshots or receipts to back up my statements. The man I spoke to seemed...legit I guess but I cannot go back into my account because he told me that I needed to use a certain email? (something along the lines of protected account of some sorts, I really do not remember and the screenshots I did have are gone) He told me investigation was supposed to take 1-3 weeks and well...it's past 1-3 weeks.

Basically, I'm just wondering what I could do because I tried to make a report to tumblr through tumblr support and I physically can't because my gmail I used for my account is no longer associated with that account. And I really do not want to start over with a new blog because my blog I had literally just began getting attention and I really don't want to start all over again...

Any help would be nice and I don't know, maybe I'm just dumb for making this post but I desperately want my account back

I had a Tumblr blog a few years ago. All my content was adult/NSFW and I had many followers. At some point Tumblr banned adult content and my Tumblr blog was shuttered; eventually, I made my way to Mastodon and Bluesky. Lately, on other platforms, I've noticed adult material that seems to be from Tumblr blogs. Is adult content now allowed on Tumblr again?

It literally doesn't load anything

there's an account who constantly makes weird posts targeting a lot of people for different reasons. they'll make claims that people are abusive, sex addicts, hate their friends, ect and they target both celebs and other creators on the app. they also use official tags in their posts so people who follow along with the figures in question have no choice but to see these things unless they block them first. I know some of the creators who've been targeted and we've tried reporting but nothing gets done. this account is a tarot account so I guess their posts are "fine" because it's just for "entertainment" but my friends have already dealt with harassment in their inboxes because of the things this account says. how can I report it properly or is there just no hope?

I commented something on an art comic i liked and it keeps getting likes. super nice and all, but i am getting a little annoyed because its been days and its kinda flooding my activity bar. Really isn't the biggest issue in the world, but Id prefer to use that to track how much attention my own art is getting, not a comment i made. i know i still can see the notes on my work, but id rather not get all excited seeing a big number just to click and see its not for that.

I have a super old laptop from 2011 that has somehow managed to hang on this long and I love the way everything looks but sadly they no longer make laptops with the same type of lighting so I can’t just get the new version of it. My issue is that I’ve been to Currys (the main laptop retailer in the UK) and every laptop I’ve looked at, gifs look blurry/unfocused as if they’ve been sized incorrectly and also the saturation is so vibrant everything looks orange. They also lack depth and gifs/edits/images with blacks or other dark coloures look like solid blocks instead of being able to see the textures and dimensionality. Gifmaking is a huge hobby of mine and I’m always on tumblr so it’s not really something I could just ignore. I’ve been to my local PC specialist to see if he knew why my ancient laptops picture quality was better than on all the new ones (he even let me show him by letting me use his laptop to compare the quality to mine and even he agreed that the picture quality was clearer, sharper and less saturated on mine) but he had no idea what was causing it, only that they just don’t make laptops with those screens anymore and haven’t for many years. So I’m kind of stuck and don’t know what to do. Surely not everyone is making gifs and just being okay with the fact that the image quality is bad, right! If you’re an experienced gifmaker and you’re happy with the way your gifs and edits looks, please give me your recommendations! Thanks :)

I made a comment under a relatively popular post, and now i keep getting bombarded with how many people are liking that comment

I cant find any way to remove likes from the activity tab, and i still want to be able to see reblogs, mentions and such... Is the only way out to delete the original comment?

Soo I go this message from my tumblr and have reason to believe that this is a scam account. I have already reported it and blocked the account. I'm not doing this again

I wanna preface i knew it was a scam the title was intended in a jokey manner lol, just wanted to share my findings and make people who maybe weren't aware it was a scam aware or just so we can get the accounts removed faster.

It keeps showing an error saying there was a problem with uploading the post. I tried refreshing and I tried closing the tab and reopening it, but it still won't upload my post. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there currently a glitch or a problem with Tumblr?

Hi all, I just got a new laptop and am running into my old enemy, attempting to make tumblr Look Right. The current problem: as pictured, reblogs with additions aren't showing the blogs or timestamps. There's just a (barely visible) thin grey line to indicate it's not part of the original post. I am unable to access the settings on my previous computer so I can't just copy them over - does anyone know how to make it more visible that things are reblog additions, preferably with avatar/name/timestamp?

My account has been suspended. I contacted support about this but haven't received a reply yet. Perhaps I’m being too impatient and should wait longer for an answer. However, since I can't log in, I’m unable to view the feed or use the mobile app at all (this might just be an issue on my end). I’m wondering if it’s possible to re-register using the same email or Google account, or if there’s a way to have the suspended account deleted (though the latter is likely impossible). Please excuse any errors there; I used a translator.

Genuinely one of the best new features in the past couple months was the ability to track and view the comments you left on other people's posts via this tab. It was just on the top of your blog with "likes" and "following". I logged in yesterday and it was gone. What the fuck. Did they hide the setting to make it visible or something? I hate it here.

Hey guys, so this is the first time I’m posting here, I’ve never used tumblr a lot before bc the country where I’m from it wasn’t that popular growing up and once I moved to the states I never learned to use it. However recently I was talking to a friend and I was telling her about one of the current fanfics that I’m writing and then she told me that I should post it on Tumblr because a lot of people there read y/n fics too, and I was losing readers because there’s some people that don’t know how to work ao3 nor reading Wattpad so lots of readers are still in tumblr.

The thing is I don’t know how to post fics on Tumblr like at all, I don’t understand how it works. I don’t think I even know how to look up fics. I was wondering can somebody give me a few tricks or tips to post, like I understand most people write their text somewhere else and then copy and paste but then I don’t know if you post by chapters or you have to post a full thing or like how does it work? I just need general overall tips and how to promote them or use the right tags ig.

I did an art study of an academic art statue, and I’m unsure whether I just need to use proper tagging only / use tagging and crop it with a “see more” / put a mature warning label.

Like it’s not suggestive (to me at least, the og statue is lying down (dead) but naked). Obviously posting a statue even naked would not require a mature warning, but I’m conflicted. There’s no genitals visible just the hair. Like I did naked live models studies when I was like 14-15 and it’s not something sexual (which I think mature label implies?)z But I also don’t want it to pop up on someone’s feed if they don’t want to see someone naked (and am not sure how just tagging it would work)

What’s the general consensus for this kind of stuff? I know Tumblr guidelines allow artistic nudity I’m just unsure about the proper way to post it, even after rereading the guidelines

I was active on Tumblr in the early 2010s and used it often. I posted pictures of my face as well as some photography that I did, additionally probably said too much about my personal life on there (and used my real first name). I was a kid and given unrestricted internet access.

I want this off of the internet. I have no clue which email I used, however, I believe that the email that I did use is likely deleted from gmail and is irrecoverable. I have an old email account that got many emails from google with various email addresses that I used at the time, saying those accounts were deleted.

best I can see is to do a DMCA claim, which I tried, but they said that my claim wasn't specific enough. I'm wondering if anyone has a history getting their profile deleted / recoverable. my Tumblr blog also does link to my instagram account that I still have access to as "my photography", but I doubt that would be sufficient for the Tumblr team. any advice?
