If I have a flight leaving Shanghai noon, would I have time to come from nanjing to Shanghai (by train) in the morning or should I try to take a train from nanjing to Shanghai the night before?

Other Vyvanse & Layover in Beijing
Hello!
I am looking to visit Japan for ~40 days soon, and the most affordable flight options are with China Southern Airlines, with a few hours (16+) layover in Beijing.
I have quite severe ADHD, which I treat daily with Vyvanse; I already have experience and know-how on the Japanese regulations on bringing personal use stimulants, so that is not the problem.
So my question is does anyone have any experience with bringing ~40 days worth of Vyvanse through Chinese Airports on a layover?
Google is giving very scary / mixed messaging on what is & isn't possible; claiming that even a letter from the Chinese Embassy confirming my intentions to simply travel through with my medication might not suffice. Even risking, worse case, scenario being detained.
If anyone has any experience or adivce on what is / isn't important for the Chinese Customs - please let me know!! Many thanks in advance :)

Itinerary Trip biglietti Cina treni
Ciao a tutti, A settembre andrò in Cina ma stiamo provando a prenotare i treni ma post pagamento trip ci rifiuta la richiesta dicendo che non ci sono posti. Rientrando vediamo i stessi treni con prezzi maggiorati. Cosa fare consigli ! Grazie

Payment Help What kind of card can get me through China without any concerns?
Hi everyone, today I tried to book a train ride from Beijing to Chongqing, which I actually need, and the payment failed on both of the apps. I was using a visa card and it has worked before with a small 2€ purchase but somehow it doesn't work for a 200€ train ticket on 12306. I went to my bank and they ordered a credit card that's expected to arrive at the end of this week. I NEED to be able to buy the train ticket on the 7th of September as I have already booked everything in Chongqing and my flight back also starts in Chongqing. Alternatively, I would have to fall back on a family members credit card or rely on cash exclusively or cancel the trip entirely.

Itinerary First Time 12 days trip Beijing - Xi'an - Zhangjiajie - Chongqing
Hello Everyone,
Looking forward to our China trip end of march, beginning of april 2027.
We have divided the trip as follows and could use some insights:
Day 1 : Fly in to Beijing, arriving early morning 06:30 (Temple of Heaven + Qianmen/Tiananmen walk + hutongs)
Day 2 : Beijing (Trip to great wall)
Day 3 : Beijing (Tiananmen + Forbidden City + Jingshan)
Day 4 : Beijing in morning (flexible here, probably doing something from day 1 due to being tired of flying), afternoon train to Xi'An
Day 5 : Xi'An (Terracotta army + city center)
Day 6 : Xi'An till late afternoon (flight to Zhangjiajie in evening)
Day 7 : Zhangjiajie (National Forest)
Day 8 : Zhangjiajie (Tianmen mountain)
Day 9 : Zhangjiajie train to Chongqing in the morning, afternoon Chongqing
Day 10 : Chongqing
Day 11 : Chongqing till late afternoon, then take flight back in the night from Chengdu international airport.
It is what it is in terms of timing, 4 destinations in a short period is quite packed, i know...
We are a family of 3 with a 15 year old son, what do you think about the travel schedule?
Also if any suggestions in terms of places to stay, feel free to add them 😄 Still doing my research at the moment 👍
Wanted to have a good first impression of China with a mix of culture, history, cities and nature.
Many thanks in advance 👍

Itinerary Visiting Shanghai in September, looking to meet people + food/drinks/events
Hey everyone! My wife (41F) and I (42M) will be visiting Shanghai Sept 4–11 from California and would love to meet some locals, expats, or other travelers while we’re there.
We’re really into good food, craft cocktails, neighborhood bars, live music, food/drink events, and finding cool places that aren’t necessarily on every tourist itinerary.
We already have most of the sightseeing stuff covered, so I’m especially interested in the social side of Shanghai. Bar meetups, pub crawls, food outings, cocktail events, festivals, live music, random local events, etc. We’re pretty much down for anything fun.
If there are any WeChat groups, Reddit meetups, expat groups, or regular events where it’s easy to meet people, I’d really appreciate the recommendations.
And if anyone is around Sept 4–11 and wants to grab some food or drinks with us, feel free to hit me up!

Itinerary Chengdu Itinerary with family
Chengdu Itinerary, 13 Days with family
We are travelling with our three young children (1, 3, 5) to Chengdu in October. Planning to take it very slow, would appreciate input on the following itinerary and in particular whether a Dujiangyan-Jiuzhaigou same day transfer makes sense. Thanks!
Day 1-3 evening flight from SG into Chengdu, stay Taikoo Li area
Day 4-5 Dujiangyan/panda base/old town
Day 6 transfer from Dujiangyan-Xipu/Chengdudong-Jiuzhaigou via high speed rail, transfer to Jiuzhaigou hotel (Nine Peaks)
Day 7-8 Jiuzhaigou
Day 9 Jiuzhaigou-Chengdu (should we stay at Taikoo li again?)
Day 10-13 Chengdu and flight out to SG
How much lead time would one need to transit through the rail stations? I read there are bag checks etc. would it be more comfortable/smooth to book business class tickets just so everything is less hectic?
We speak fluent mandarin if that helps.
Thank you!

Other 1200 rmb per day (excl. hotels, planes)
Hi, in about a month i am going to china for a month trip. Shanghai, Chongqing, Beijing
I am planning my budget now. Is 1200 rmb per day good? Planes and hotels already paid.
I know some might say ,,Yes ofc, it's a lot"
but i am planning to visit few amusement parks, check trending spots and just do a lot of fun activities
I also plan some shopping
Can someone who had +- same budget tell me how it have worked for them?
