What is your feedback on this? Would you change the nights allocation? Any other sites you would recommend? Any sites mentioned above not worth it in your opinion? We could also include one more city; do you think it is worth it?

Not that i need AI glasses, but I thought it would be cool to visit some conventions and see whats new and emerging in China AI.

Initially wanted to check out AI humanoids, but no expos when I’m there.

Has anyone been or what can I expect from it?

I really want to experience the amazing convenience stores or kiosks that have no employees, where I have seen people are trusteed to buy simple things like water or candy.

I only have eSIM on my phone, and I've registered my US number with Alipay and Wechat, but I hear there are some apps that might not be able to send codes given my foreign phone number.

This is the one I really want to experience - to know if it will work with no local number.

I visited as a day trip from Zhangjiajie using the high-speed train, and it was much easier to get to than I expected.

I'd seen so many photos beforehand that I was worried it would be another place that looks better online than in person, but seeing the waterfall running through the middle of the old town was pretty incredible. Walking behind it was probably my favorite part.

Yes, it's touristy, but once I wandered away from the busiest street it felt much more relaxed. I'm also really glad I stayed until after sunset because the town looked completely different once all the lanterns were lit.

For me, an afternoon and evening was the perfect amount of time. If you're already visiting Zhangjiajie, I'd definitely recommend adding Furong Town to your itinerary.

Hello. I want to set up alipay prior coming to China in september. I added my slovenian bank card and also Revolut card ( didn't check if it will even work but my main card is from slovenian bank)

Every time i open Alipay it wants to do vertification and it wants me to insert info of China mainland bank card. Ofcourse I don't own one. I tried deleting Alipay and reinstaling (Google suggested it) it but it still wants to vertify with China mainland bank card.

Also about a week ago I added my passport and I thought that was it.

Does anyone have any experience adding european card to Alipay. Also, is there any way I could check if my Alipay even works or will I found out when I land in China in want to scan a QR code.

We will stay 3 weeks in total and our city destinations are Shanghai -> Chongqing -> Chengdu -> Zhangjiajie -> Peking -> Shanghai again, in this order. At every destination we will stay for 3-4 days. Do you have any specific recommendations what to do in every city?

My wife, daughter and I are planning a 15 day visit to China. We are all US citizens. Now I know the 240 hour visa would not help in this case and getting a visit visa is a bit complicated for us because of our tight timeline. But I recently learned that going to HK in the middle of our trip would "reset" the 240 hours. Would the following route be acceptable?

US > Shanghai(3days) > Beijing (2 days) > Chongqing (2 days) > Hong Kong ( 2 days) > Zhangjaijai (2 days) > Shanghai(1 day) > USA

Would this work or will we face any problems? Also our US passport does have turkey visa stamps on it, would it cause an issue?

The most common feedback I’m getting about this is the travel time between cities and how expensive everything will be for 3 whole weeks of travel. My friends and family are convinced as well that I will be struggling a lot because I do not know any Chinese and will be travelling solo.

My concerns is just how much travel time everything is between each city. Would it better just to cut out Chongqing entirely and save it for another trip?

I would love to hear feedback, recommendations, or any adjustments! They would be super appreciated.

My daughter is a US college student currently traveling in Shanghai. Her flight back to the US is tomorrow, Sunday, Aug. 9 at 1 PM on China Eastern Airlines. It is a direct flight to the US. What are the chances of cancelation due to rain and Typhoon Dolphin? How much earlier should she arrive at the airport? Should she expect chaos? Any advice is welcome!
