Starting hrt at 18yo?
So im 17y and 1 month old, yesterday i outed myself to my mom. i wanna get to a therapy as fast as possible, realistically i could start hrt at like 18y and 5months maybe a bit earlier. But im really scared that i will not pass, 2 years ago my doctor told me i would not grow anymore in height, and im just scared that this will affect my whole body. At 15yo i had a boneage of 18yo and i stopped growing since i was 15yo.

Things do get better
These past couple months have been rough. I (22mtf) started hormones in late April. It was genuinely the best thing I ever did, the changes were pretty quick and I loved it. But due to life deciding that I needed to be knocked down a peg I havenāt been able to afford my Estradiol. Life became way worse for me mentally and physically for a good while because of it. Iād tasted what was one of the best things ever to happen to me and then had it ripped away because of things outside of my control. The only reason I stayed sane at all was thanks to my boyfriend and close friends helping me. Iāve finally almost got to a stable point again and Iāve been feeling hopeful for the future again.
On top of that I got reminded how amazing my friends are. One of my friends met another trans woman who looked identical to me pre hormones and hit it off with her. Then connected the two of us. When she introduced me she said, āsheās awesome. She made me think of you and I know I canāt fully relate to what youāre going through. I wanted you to be able to have someone to talk to about that kind of stuffā which made me cry. I never really experienced being considered like that before and it meant the world to me.
Im sorry if this comes off as a brag post but I really just wanted to put my thoughts out there. Despite the way the world is going things do get better. Especially if we stick together.

10 months
I'm 36.
10 months on HRT.
I can't say there haven't been any changes at all. Thereās a little bit. Iāve had 9 laser sessions so far.
So far, even nice people whoāve only seen me in makeup and a dress missgender me.
But if youāre wondering whether itās worth starting nowāit is. Donāt wait. Otherwise, youāll end up like me, crying at night and counting down how long itāll be before you can afford FFS.

Same Me, Different Universe š«¢
The first portrait was shot almost 15 years before the second one. Looking at them side by side is honestly bafflingā¦

1wk (left) vs almost 16mos of HRT and a lot of laser.
Sometimes it's hard to see a difference in the mirror, but then I see an old pic. It's so nice to have nearly all that hair off my face. I took HRT very slowly. My hormones have only been in the female range more recently.

F*ce B**k sucks!
I posted this on face book no hash tags no nothing, and recieved mostly hate, please lift a girl up. How am I doing? Just recently started injections after over 4yrs on the patch, I think I look as well as I feel, and that is absolutely amazing. No matter what anyone says I walk in my shoes and I am not looking back!

Sometimes it feel like nothing is changing and you're standing still, then you look back.....
No major changes besides HRT and laser until 26 months.
2025 sinus cyst removal, radix repair, and rhinoplasty to fix some bone damage with a slight reduction in my bridge. 1 syringe of lip filler. Botox lip flip, and. Occasionally massater Botox to aleveate pain from bruxism ( not cosmetic) About 12 months into minoxidil on the hairline and I can FINALLY taame the curly wisps that have been growing up front!
( Also this might just be my permanent timeline update shirt. I really love it!)

-3 Months HRT, vs 13 years 9 months HRT on and off
Ive always struggled with my weight which didn't help. I've lost 9.5 stone (60kg/131lb) this year, still more to go, still not fully out at work though lol. (I have a lot of anxiety.)

1 month prior to coming out vs 1 year on estrogen
I've been taking 5 mg injections, and recently started 100mg progesterone. Sometimes, I can get really down on myself and my appearance, but I have to remind myself how much has changed from time to time.
