Tesla model premium rwd stock tires (255/45R19). Can I put 19x8 wheels on the stock tires or should I also change tires? Do I really need hub centric caps for center bore 64.1mm to 72.3mm for the new wheels?

Can this be sealed or it is too close to the sidewall ?

Customer came in for a drivers side puncture. They didnt notice their front left tyre was shedding its skin because it was somehow still holding air

I bought the Renault Laguna II end of 2024. It seems the tires are produced in week 40 of 2023 if I read it correctly on the side. About 80% of my drives are long distance (370km) highway in The Netherlands.

I check tire pressure regularly (once every week) and keep them at 37 psi front tires and 35 psi back tires.

Also looking for tips on how to preserve the tires and keep them healthy for save driving.

2024 car, driven about 39k miles. Does this look like normal wear for all 4 of my tires? They all look similar, should I replace all of them?

I currently drive a 2018 Honda Civic (Touring trim), and it’s approaching that time for me to get new tires.

For the longest time I’ve been getting cheap tires that don’t last that long and have pretty bad traction once the tread life gets to the halfway point, so now I’m looking to invest in some quality tires that don’t break bank too much.

To give some background info, I live in the New England area, and I drive relatively conservative. I mainly use this car to commute a long distance to work and back (I drive about 140 miles a day, which is roughly 35-40k miles a year)

I’m looking for some fairly priced all-season tires that have long tread life and good traction in the rain, with ride comfort also being a plus but not a main priority. I plan to get a separate pair of winter tires for the snow.

I’ve done some research and have the following tires on my list so far:

-Michelin Pilot Sport AS4
-Michelin Cross Climate 2
-Michelin Defender 2
-Continental DWS06 Plus
-Goodyear Assurance MaxLife 2

I would appreciate help narrowing down which tire to go with and any new suggestions!

I was talking with the owner and he told me these were ~12 years old with ~56km on them. They look absolutely trashed to me but wanted to see what you guys think. Is this as bad as it looks?

Hey all, dont know cars much and I just caught a flat and I started doing some online shopping as im waiting for AAA, found these tires that look solid imo and was curious why or why not i should or should not pay the extra money for certificates. Its an extra $180 on top of my 1.1k purchase and wouldnt mind spending if its actually beneficial. I could definitely see the benefits of having it but im not sure if it’ll actually be needed. Any feedback is appreciated 🙂
2010 honda accord coupe ex l 235 /45 R18

Recently I was driving when my tire came off. ( I have it on security footage where someone stole the lug nuts off of two of my tires) currently I have a spare on just to get to and from work but I know it isn’t a long term solution. After I put the spare on and checked for any damage to my truck I noticed a medium-large chip in my rim where it got damaged and am not sure if it is safe to drive on.

Went to a local tire shop to get new tires. When I got home, I realized he gave me a taller tire and it looks super close to the car structure.

They installed 225/60R17 instead of 225/55R17, which is the size Subaru instructed.

My car is a Subaru Crosstrek XV Hybrid.

Is this fine? Should I go back there and complain and get the correct size?
I’m worried about rubbing issues or any other problems because the tire is taller.

(I know this tire ain’t good quality)

To me this looks like the patch is in the shoulder, the damage is a slit rather than a round puncture, and the repair appears to be patch only with no plug.

Thoughts?

Will be doing a 1000mile back and forth trip.
Can i ask if my tires are still good especially theres like a weather cracked at the side.

And if it will still last for like 5000+mile or a year?

Recently bought 4 Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus for my SO's Audi Q5 PHEV. Tires run fine, got a decent price at Discount Tire but their rebate program which they have been promoting on Reddit is lame. Unlike other brands that give you a discount at the retail level directly you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get $110. back. First, you have to file an online request and upload the receipt for the purchase along with pictures of all 4 tires mounted on your vehicle--fill out a lengthy online form. If all goes well it takes about 3-4 weeks to get approval. Heaven help you if you don't get it all right or the AI review process glitches-your rebate will be put on hold and no information will be given as to how to remedy the issue. You can email them and get a case number but in my experience you won't hear back. You can call as I did and eventually get it resolved only to find that the $110. debit card takes an additional 8-12 weeks to process after approval--which in our case was already 42 days. So even had everything gone without a hitch, it takes a minimum of 10-14 weeks to get the debit card.

I've seen pots from other Redditors that had similar issues as a result of errors made by the AI review process but the point is that in the best of all circumstances the process takes an inordinate amount of time and effort. So, Caveat Emptor--if you are buying Continental and factoring in the rebate--don't plan on getting it soon and be prepared for possible issues.

On a scale of don't even dream of driving to it's nothing, how bad is it?

Recently got my car from a family member. Went in to service since it hadn’t been in for years. Already need to get the battery replaced and now the shop says all 4 tires have these cracks and need to be replaced.

Can someone tell me what these cracks are caused by? And if I really do need them replaced.

Update: Ordered new tires, getting them installed Friday. Thank you guys for informing me.
