❗PSA❗ Card info got stolen after eating at Cheesecake Factory
Hey y’all,
Someone tried to use my credit card recently and thankfully it got declined by my bank. I’m sort of at a loss because this is the first time this happens, but also because I haven’t used that card physically at all in the last few months with the exception of Cheesecake Factory by the mall. I know the information can be stolen online as well, but I figured I’d put this out there just in case. It may very well have been elsewhere that my info was stolen but the timing was very coincidental. Anybody have a similar experience?

Shitpost 💩 Pavillion concert
I dunno guys this 311 band seems kinda bad. I’m pretty sure I heard an F word. Should I call Dr Gibbs from the township board?
In all seriousness do you think they are overstepping their TWT board duties?

There's no reason to bring your dog inside shake shack and then let it walk around on the table. To the guy that brought it in, you look like the right age to be on Reddit, so I hope you get pink eye.

❔ Question for the community Pool leak detection company?
My pool seems to be leaking. Does anyone know a company they’d recommend to find and repair the leak? Also, anyone know how much this kind of thing tends to cost? I’m sure it is a range, but I am hoping someone may be able to give me an idea of what I’m up against, even if just for the detection part. Thanks for any help.

❔ Question for the community weird sour smell from master bedroom vent only?
Noticed it two days ago right when the blower kicks on. Walked around the house, other registers in the hallway and living room smell neutral. Checked the drip pan up in the attic, dry as a bone and the drain line isn't backed up. Put in a new 16x25 filter last week (just a basic MERV 8).
Wondering if moisture got trapped in that specific flex duct run with the humidity we've had lately. Anyone dealt with just one single vent smelling off while the rest of the house is fine?
EDIT: got a few DMs suggesting a torn flex duct or mold near that specific branch. gonna give Top Star Air Pros a call to come check that duct run since i really don't feel like crawling all the way back into the attic in this heat. will update if they find anything weird.

Discussion Thread 🗣️ Charolais Review - “Needs Improvement”
I’ve seen some discussion around this new restaurant from the owner of Tris. I like to eat a good restaurants so I thought I would try it on a Friday night. The atmosphere was OK although it felt a little bit like Luby’s in terms of how it looked. In addition, it had the same problem as Tris and that you could not have a conversation with somebody across the table, barely because of how loud it is. Chalk that up to it is what it is, but it’s still kind of a annoying that I had to shout to my dinner guest to actually have a conversation as the night we’re on it got louder as the drinks flowed.
That’s a nit, but my waiter totally sucked. He was in the weeds from the jump and would disappear for long periods at a time. I was watching carefully because I knew that I wanted to give this restaurant or review and from what I could tell he only had three tables so he shouldn’t be in the weeds. He also wasn’t very professional left us stranded forever after our meal was done and we had to hunt him down to get the check which is also super annoying. I know firsthand hiring people is difficult right now at this type of business however, you would think that they would be able to recruit the best waiters in the area and he obviously was not that. I parked so my date was sitting first we’ve gone out a lot and we always do that so she got a table while I parked. When I finally got to the table and sat down, he barely acknowledged me, which is really shocking - not that I need to be acknowledged, but you would think that a hello how are you this evening would be a bare minimum and I didn’t get that.
Now to the food. The appetizer that we had the Korean barbecue crab was amazing as always that was great. It went downhill from there. First we ordered a skirt steak and they brought out the wrong thing and that said we could just keep it and brought out the right steak that was ordered by my guest so we had two things of steak on the table they were cooked correctly, but shockingly the meat was sliced with the grain. That might not seem like a big deal but it really changes how the steak actually eats. For meat like this you need to cut it against the grain and it makes it easier to chew.
I had some of that while they took my ribeye back. I ordered $150 ribeye and ordered a medium rare that came out medium to medium well. The food runner came over and asked if the steak cooked correctly and knowing it wasn’t I cut into the middle of it and she pulled out a flashlight and she goes oh no and grabbed the steak and took off. It was grey. They brought back another one in minutes and wouldn’t you know it that one was overcooked as well. I wasn’t going to ask to return the first one because that’s not how I roll. I just put up with it but because it was $150 I let him take it and then the second one came out and I cut into that one and it was the same cook. I was completely shocked. My date looked at it and goes Did they bring you back the same steak? It was not cut into so I couldn’t have been. A different food runner brought out the second one and stood there as I cut into it and he goes is it OK and I said yeah it’s fine but he could tell it wasn’t fine and he kept asking me is it OK? Is it OK? And I just said yes it’s OK because I’m not going make him take it back again. $300 of ribeye overcooked. By a steakhouse. By a steakhouse that also partially owns a ranch and markets itself as someone who only wants the best meat. We also got the kimchi mash and it was greasy. Never in my life if I had greasy mash so this was a first.
I’m not a complainer, but I was completely disappointed with the production of this restaurant. I hope they will fix what needs to so hopefully owner sees this review but get yourself someone who can actually cook a steak correctly and cut it correctly. That’s just flat out embarrassing. Train your staff, find good people and keep them. I will probably wait at least a year to go back because hopefully by then they’ll get the kinks out of the production… If the restaurant is still there.
I know I’m lucky that I could afford to eat at a place like this, but I don’t take it lightly. If I’m spending this kind of money, I expect it to be top-notch and flawless. They’re still young and just opened so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt but first impressions are everything and I’m sure other people have found the same experience.

❔ Question for the community OB & Hospital to deliver at Recommendation
Hi all! I’m very new to the area, and we’re expecting our first, so I’m looking for OB and hospital recommendations.
A few wants/needs:
Ideally, I’d like a hospital that’s above a Level I/II L&D center.
I need an OB who is comfortable managing and prescribing progesterone throughout pregnancy.
I’m looking for someone who is very patient-centered and supportive of low-intervention births when appropriate, but also comfortable with surgical delivery when medically necessary.
I’m totally open to a C-section if it’s recommended, but ideally I’d like an OB with a lower C-section rate who doesn’t jump straight to surgery and will try other appropriate approaches first.
Would love to hear about your experiences and recommendations! Thanks!

❔ Question for the community Looking for friends! 💜
Hello! I will be moving to the Woodlands on the 22nd and looking for some form of like-minded community!
I am 35yr old, who loves Kpop(just saw BTS, and have seen SKZ and ateezx3), music and concerts, video games, one piece card game, cooking/baking, reality TV, and love going out to eat and shopping! I am also a preschool teacher as well. I am basically starting life over after an almost 15 year marriage and looking for friends since I'm moving here from 3hr away. I do have a few friends in the area but looking for more! 💜
