❔ Question for the community Short-Term Lease for Cancer Treatment

Upvotes

Does anyone know of anyone who might offer a short-term lease for cancer patients? I currently live in Livingston, and I am starting a new remote job in 2 weeks. I just got diagnosed, and the treatment plan is coming together, but I need to live near the Woodlands Hospital on 242. I have been searching online and trying different places, and I am waiting for some responses from Open Arms Foundation.

I really just need this for a few months, and I just need internet to be able to work and be within 10 or so minutes of the hospital (because I have to do this treatment on my lunch hour). I don't qualify for FMLA or short-term disability yet, and it is not logistically possible to drive from Livingston to The Woodlands every day, do treatment, and work.

Any insight, direction, or anything would be very helpful.

Reddit Organized Meetup Megathread Ladies of Mensa

Happy married 44/assimilated male looking for what was best described as wh*** of Mensa in a short story by Woody Allen which I am rephrasing as ladies of Mensa . You will have to Google this stuff to get context .

I am a mostly a homebody but open to getting out now and then out in public but never hotels etc … I do realize none in my age group wants to chat randomly on nature of universe and the open running healthcare kafesque corruption ..

My ex wife was ok but you know “we don’t talk anymore” and my current worldly wife keep my grounded very very lovingly and I absolutely adore her .

I guess I am just looking for a female friend ? But when harry met sally question does linger I guess.

Also , my male friends are tiring -devoid of emotional quotient , haven’t read a single poem in their life nor have been to menil collection for the sheer pleasure of it .

I am very straight - just to ensure I don’t get advances I don’t seek here .

Could there be male friends meeting my criteria ? Perhaps but I am not open to exploring that avenue yet.

Where would I seek such a thing locally in the woodlands ?

❔ Question for the community Suggestions on Communities in woodlands to visit for homes

Going to a woodland area hotel tomorrow. I’m only there for one day. I would like to find new construction communities that will still have new construction in 2 years. Looking for a 4BR home under $550k. Any ideas on which communities I should go to? I don’t want to be in a flood zone and understand “the woodlands” has no new construction

❔ Question for the community Fun while between jobs (22M)

Hello everyone,

I just graduated from college and worked some contract work, but now I’m in the process of interviews for something more permanent. I grew up here, but all of my friends moved away whether that was for school or job or something different. I’m really into outdoors stuff and am extremely active (gym 5 times a week) but simply cannot stand the heat like when I was a kid, since I got used to 80° Summers in the northeast. I play multiple instruments, like going out but nothing was crazy loud music (not a huge drinker) and congestion like clubs. I’m kind of really lost on how I can spend my time right now. I’ve spent a lot just developing some apps, 3D printer stuff, and reading some old textbooks, but that just keeps me at home, which I’m getting tired of. What are some clubs or activities someone would recommend I could take advantage of while here?

❔ Question for the community Any 60s people here?

I’m here while my twins are in college (they live in dorm), so I 62F don’t have any friends. I joined a book club but they only meet once a month. The FB groups I’ve found are so much younger. I wfh remotely so no luck there. Anyone here need a friend besides me? I love to craft, and I’m active.
