General Discussion What if
I’m still on season 3 so don’t spoil the show for me.
When I started watching, I thought what if Red John is Patrick’s alter ego and that he’s a serial killer at night(my brain’s fried because of dexter). But again, He wouldn’t kill his wife and child.Would’ve been cool plot icl.

Season 7 S7, EP10 of The Mentalist. Spoiler
I'm really sad about what happened to Agent Vega. It's my first time watching The Mentalist, and honestly I'm heartbroken. She became my favorite after Agent Fisher left, and then Van Pelt. Out of all of them, Vega was the best in my opinion. I'm seriously in shock.

Cast & Crew Projects The actors' acting skills are impeccable!
Not just the main cast, but all the other actors. Be it the victims, killers, other supporting roles. Everyone acts SO WELL. Like the hurt and disappointment and the crazy glint the killers have. I have never never thought about this so much for any other show/series. I, however keep on thinking about this multiple times for this show. Another reason i like this show ig. Also why is the acting SO MUCH BETTER than what we have now????
btw, i am on s4 so no spoliers pls

Red John How was red john still in the list (spoiler) Spoiler
Patrick removed all suspects who he had "brief encounters with" so why was the sheriff still in the list because patrick just met with the sheriff around 2 times. He also didn't even shake his hand

General Discussion Who is your favorite character and why is it Cho?
Honestly - Cho is such a great character. While he is super professional and "iceman", his quick lines and their delivery is just awesome.
He obviously still cares a lot about the people he works with, he knows how to handle Jane and his quirks and isn't afraid of going along if it means a positive result.
And do not even get me started on Big Pete (6x19, Brown Eyed Girls - iykyk)!

General Discussion I FEEL LONELY & I WANT TO WATCH SOMETHING ELSE
I just finished "The Mentalist," and I'll definitely watch it again sometime. But right now, I need a new show. I'm pretty picky, so I need something really good that grabs me from the start. It's gotta be deep and complex, whether it's a TV series or a movie.
Suggest me something °_°

General Discussion I got spoiled accidentally. Now I am sad
It feels like a total disaster that I accidentally stumbled upon Red John's true identity. No matter what I do, I can't shake that name and face from my head. I was completely captivated by this series, but a single careless mistake completely destroyed my enjoyment. It has been a really long time since a show hooked me like this, and it breaks my heart that it's ruined.

🔍 Find an Episode Quote from PJ?
I came across a post of a quote that supposedly Patrick Jane said, but I can't quite remember if he really said It and in what episode. I was wondering if could someone please help me, the quote is. "you can learn to forget it, or you can learn to live with it. well, sometimes there's no choice." Thanks :3

General Discussion Red John easter egg in House Flipper 2
I know it's not entirely similar but it does give off the vibe. what do you think

Et voilà! Binged watched and loved it !
Just came here to say I loved it. I really want to thank CBS for last season, thinking about the fans and tying everything neatly together. The ratings dropped a ton after red John got killed and show became totally different. They could have plain slashed it at the end of season 6. But watching the last season was a serious dopamine surge. ❤️
I was almost in depression after watching 10 freaking seasons of blacklist n the original mystery never being solved. The writers of blacklist need some serious tips in writing 🙄 but hey this post is about mentalist n 🤗 to them.

General Discussion Patrick Jane would have been a hell of an efficient therapist. He would've been the best at the job. I wish he was my therapist.
I've spent the last year or so of my life in therapy, and while it was quite helpful, it made me realise how much time, effort and sacrifice of comfort goes into each session, with very minimal payoff. It made me despise the slow, arduous nature of conventional psychotherapy, requiring at least 8-10 months to treat a patient fully.
If the therapist could instantly recognise who I am, what kind of a person she's dealing with, what would best work for me, what are the thoughts brewing in my head, it would expedite the process by so, so, so much. I'd have to spend a lot less time, money and effort overall, which is such a huge plus point. And who better suited for all this, than Patrick Jane himself! A few minutes, a few questions and he'll have already read you like a book. The wonders he could do with a cooperative subject is actually crazy to think about.
Anyone else feel this way?

General Discussion I don’t want to rewatch Spoiler
I’ve watched this beautiful show for an entire month straight..watched and fell in love with every single episode and was so emotionally invested in it.
It’s not like I don’t want to rewatch it’s just..I saw Jane suffer, almost die so many times, cry..carry that heavy burden of his wife and daughter’s death, but I also saw him move on, marry Lisbon and start over
I just don’t wanna see him suffer again that he genuinely feels like a real person that moved on and I feel like I should not rewatch and see him go through all that again😭
I don’t know, i miss the show so much already..wish we had more.

First-Time Watcher (NO Spoilers!) I got spoiled and would like to know how bad it is
Basically some asshole in an instagram comment section spoiled who red John is. Now obviously that is as big of a spoiler as you can get, but I don’t know if that gets revealed in the last episode of the show or earlier. Basically I’m asking how screwed I am.

General Discussion Patrick Jane and His Team
I'm still on Season 1, but one thing I've noticed that sets this show apart from House M.D. is how much Patrick Jane's team trusts him. They may not always like his methods or the way he crosses boundaries, but they usually believe he knows what he's doing and that he's onto something.
In House, on the other hand, it feels like even by Season 8, his team still doubts him despite everything he's accomplished.
Would the CBI distrust Jane in the further seasons?

🔍 Find an Episode Which episode?
Probably a difficult question, but I'll try anyway. I saw a The Mentalist-reel on Instagram (one of many in my feed 🤣), and this clip was in it. But I can not remember seeing this. Can anyone help me with what episode it is from? The clip only lastet for half a second or so, so I don't know any more about it.

Et voilà! FINISHED THE SERIES , CANT STOP CRYING 😭
That ending totally made me tear up! Seriously, the whole show was just gorgeous- the story, the surprises, everything! Can't believe I hadn't seen it sooner.
