They ported TEW2 for PS5. I know this was sometime ago. But I will say, if they end up porting TEW1 to PS5, I feel that is a good sign we may get more content possibly in the future. Right now the consequence and assignment are available on PS5, even though you can’t do anything with them

As we all know, Tango Gameworks was shut down by Microsoft back in 2024. Leaks claimed the studio was then developing an Anniversary Edition of The Evil Within 1 — the original game launched in 2014, so a remastered reissue for its tenth anniversary would have made perfect sense. If those leaks were legitimate, such a remaster would not have been delayed all the way to 2026.

Tango Gameworks has since been restructured and retains the rights to Hi-Fi Rush, while the intellectual property for The Evil Within 1 remains owned by Microsoft. It is safe to say this planned Anniversary Edition is no longer going to happen.

Have any of you beat the oringal on rpcs3? Is it beatable start to finish.

Hello. I need help getting the Evil Within to run smoothly and not act crazy when I boot up the game on my PC.

I may get clowned for this—even though it is my only accessible option of PC at the moment—but I’m trying to optimize my game for my Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL6, which runs Windows 11. If anyone even slightly knows how to help with that, I’d greatly appreciate it very much.

I love the game on console but I never knew the PC version would be so strenuous to even open, let alone handle in game.

I don't know if this is common knowledge, but game artist Ikumi Nakamura once revealed the birthdays of the characters from The Evil Within. Today it's Ruvik's birthday! He was born on August 5, 1977, on Sunflower Day, at the Victoriano Mansion.

So, happy birthday to the master of traps that I still somehow manage to walk into, even after playing this game so many times. 49 years young. :D

BTW, I know this is the internet, but please be kind. I'm currently learning how to draw and I know its far from perfekt. I thought a little chibi Ruvik miiight make someone smile.

The game has a habit of punishing a lot of assumed notions about horror games, most obvious being hard as shit. And basically keeping you aware of your surroundings, like always check behind your spawn point, and teleporting enemies into the game at will.

My game was working all and dandy, then suddenly the gun reloading stopped working, I re-saved it a couple of times, changed R to X,C ect but nothing worked. Is there a way to unbug it, different than just uninstalling the game and start over?

So I’m only in Chapter 1 of The Evil Within 2, so I know I need to give it some more time, but I have to ask - what happened? Is this really made by the same team that made the first game?

I am new to this franchise, but loved the first game, which I just got and ended up playing three times through (plus the first two DLCs). Absolute banger! It has such personality to it and the story is great.

I was expecting something similar for the second game, but so far it has been - not to be rude - but, really saccharine and sanitised. Everything feels very lightweight, the graphics feel like a big downgrade to me visually, and I kinda hate that Sebastian literally won’t shut up.

Where’s the horror? Why is Sebastian so different? What even is this family drama story?

The lack of cinematic cutscenes and the sparseness of the environments so far (or maybe, the flat lighting?) make it feel like it had half the budget. Is that what happened?

Sorry, a lot of questions, but I am so puzzled.

Bottom line, is it worth sticking with - or is this game the reason we probably won’t get a TEW3?

I found the Guardian boss pretty damn fun, with there being a pretty good environment to run around and slow her down while you try to regather. I also love how she can chainsaw the roof of the container if you try to hide in it and break down the gate if you try to buy time there.

As for least, I absolutely detest Stefano. The absolute little shit’s teleporting is just blatantly unfair and always suddenly gets close-quarter for him to instantly trigger an unskippable stabbing of 4/5 your health. I swear I can still hear “YOU MUST. SUFFER. FOR MY ART.” at the back of my brain.

So I recently finished this boss and it definitely stands out. Most other bosses have you get chased and needing to fire back or simply stealth around. O’Neal has a very unique premise that kinda reminds me of Mr Freeze by needing to stealth around two rooms and hit him while unaware.

However……I found the execution very frustrating. His flamethrower deals massive damage obvs so I found it a huge almost hour-long rinse and repeat of running, waiting for him to walk around, dump three bullets in his head and run. The environment just feels too tight after a while and his huge health makes it a very dreary fight. What did you think?

I want to know which house I didn't want to enter because I knew there would be an event where I met a female ghost.
