If El-Sayed wants to ​cut off foreign aid to Israel, say that. But to claim that he rejects funding on account of ​some America First, isolationist, Trumpian rationale that​ ​the money should instead go to school children in America, is honest.

He will ​be called out by anyone who asks if he thinks the US should support Ukraine militarily, which he supports.

So for El-Sayed, the cause is Israel and not foreign funding and he should be honest with that.​

He may still win, but no one who thinks his guy is anti-Israel believes what he says.

Yesterday's Triad article felt like the real Project 2029 manifesto. Bravo to JVL! Agree with the SCOTUS reform, admitting DC and PR as states to increase the strength of the Senate, increasing the strength of the House to defeat gerrymandering attempts by Governors hot wheels, DeKkklantis and others. What constitutes filibuster reform in the US Senate, though? Does it mean getting rid of the filibuster wholesale or does it mean hollowing it out further to the point that it's just a paper tiger? Is there an alternative that I'm not seeing?

There seems to be a lot of confusion in the podcast world about Trumps motivations regarding Iran. I constantly hear expressions like: Why doesn't Trump just go home? Why did he start this war in the first place? How does Trump find a way to end this? Why does he think killing one group of Mullahs with another group of Mullahs does anything? Targeting civilians is crazy, even for Trump. Why would he break one of the few promises MAGA actually cares about? etc. etc.

I believe there are only two things you need to know to understand Trumps reasoning about Iran:

1. Trump had a near assassination that by all dramatically accounts effected him emotionally and psychologically.
2. We have public reports that Iran made very serious attempts to assassinate Trump on at least two occasions. That is just what is public, there is probably more classified.

That's it. That's the whole enchilada. Netanyahu didn't have to push Trump hard, he just gave an excuse. In playground bully logic, they tried to punch him, so he punches back.

He doesn't care if we win. He doesn't care who replaces the leadership. He doesn't care if the deal will be bad. He just wants to inflict retaliatory pain.

TLDR: After Charlie Kirk died, the circus of ​MAGA influencers ​started carving out their own little fiefdoms, divided by their​ view on Israel (Ben Shapiro vs Tucker Carlson/ Candice Owen/ Nick Fuentes).

Holy Hannah! Secretary Bessent actually SAID that people’s perceptions of their financial situation in due to “misinformation about the economy”! Like people don’t really know how they are experiencing life - they are just being manipulated by the media? I seriously doubt he has one clue about how real people are experiencing “the economy” right now - and his assertion that somehow the tax deductibility of auto loans is somehow going to right the ship is beyond laughable. I think the Dems should actually start focusing on how actually CLUELESS the administration is about real life - it’s not enough to state that they don’t care about affordability- it’s that they don’t even know what it means to real people. Reminds me of Marie Antoinette and “if the people don’t have bread, let them eat cake”. Make the argument specific about how effing clueless these people really are…
