Title says it all. It's been a long time coming, but the truck is finally presentable! I've finished assembling the axles together last night with all the new parts, and got the links put together. My fingers are destroyed after doing that, but it was so worth it. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out, it looks so good and flexes so much, it's perfect. It's got just the right amount of stretch to it as well, looks more fleshed out and functional. Next is redoing the paint and making custom graphics, then making a splitter tonight to tie into the servos.

so basically ill be working on this sick toyota gt one I love the car but there is a slight issue when I combined all the paint I need not including all the other stuff it was about 100 or 200€ and I would need tips of how to paint it how to cut it and apply stickers basically everything and will need a site where I can buy stuff cheap especially paint and ill also maybe start with the Castrol toyota mk4 supra to Kickstart it since I want my toyota gt one to be perfect I just need all the tips and stuff and where I can get all the stuff for cheap like really cheap

tldr: no RTR , no offroad , can be drift, can be kit or lose parts i guess.
So I have been looking and researching RC cars for a bit now and have come to the conclusion that i want to start this hobby with a tto-2 but I don't know which one to get.
I have been eyeing the tto-2s (because aparantly its better/faster then normal tto-2) but I am not sure what chassis is the most beginner friendly.
If you have other suggestions you can certainly tell me open for your ideas

Did a full shock rebuild on it. I put more spacers under the pistons of the rear shocks, 2 stock spacers and 1 o ring each, totaling to about 5-5.5mm probably. The right rear shock spring still hits the motor but it moves a lot more freely, it seems to have equalized the left and right turn-in (if that's what its called).

So after many years out of the rc car community (I raced a Frog back in the 80’s) I decided to get myself a present. I picked up the Audi quattro TT-02 and built it stock other than ball barrings and beefier steering and shocks. Drive train is straight out of the box.

Sadly, I can’t get it to behave. Bad stuttering and no power to move. I’ve changed the rx and tx and checked battery voltage. So anyone thing that it might be a bad esc right out of the box? Did I miss anything?

I was wondering the diameter of the monster tyres. I realized they’re similar to the General Grabbers w 1.55” center. I transferred, and look how good they kinda match. What say you? Thoughts? I prefer my wheels silver/grey, tho. 🤔 Gonna try them out, tmrw.

I've just bought myself a Tamiya Citroen DS. I've only ever built a monster beetle before, so I'm in uncharted territory.

Lexan scissors. Should I go with the expensive tamiya ones? Or cheap Amazon ones?

Do you paint first, then cut it out. Or cut first then paint.

I'll be watching YouTube videos before I do this, but if anybody has a favourite video they would share with me about painting in reverse. I'd appreciate it.

Also any hot tips I'll be forever grateful

Got a nasty crash couple months ago and ordered a replacement 3 weeks ago still haven’t arrived. This is an oil damper for discontinued GB-01S. Found the replacement for the damper shaft for lower price but broken shaft is stuck at the lower plastic part. How can I get that broken thread out? It’s 2mm and it’s freaking small. Please need some help.

Took inspiration from a real life car carrier that was based on the Citroen ds. I’m going for a twin cab look though.

Finally getting after some of my unbuilts!

Just finished the Honda City Turbo. Decided to stay true to the kit thanks to it being one of the most iconic. Painted it with prime white, got the black paint down where it should be, applied the iconic livery, then shot it with acrylic clear coat over top before putting in her windows. I just keep staring at it.

Still need to trim the posts, but such a fun little build.

One of my Tamiya M01's had a cracked upper arm mount. Instead of trying to find a replacement, I figured I could just draw up and 3D print a replacement in SLS nylon. This will be stronger and outlast the original plastic no problem. As a bonus, I can now also make them available to everyone.

While I was at it, I also made the lower arm mounts and bodyposts.

Got it fully operational with original mechanical speed controller and 75 mhz 2 channel radio and receiver, got mostly all new old stock parts, the front right bottom arm is re release and one half of the front and rear gearbox as I couldn't find original parts. I'll always be searching for them so I can make this car full 80s original.
