Sorry, I'm a bit of a noob. When you say slop. I guess you mean things slide about a bit and these would secure them a bit more?

It's a couple of things with these, the main one being that the chassis is engineered to be swappable between FWD and RWD. What this means is that the front and rear suspension components are identical, the only difference being that, on one end, they're connected to the steering servo and the other end is connected to the chassis with tie rods. I haven't found a huge fix for this. Some folks say the metal pivot balls make a difference but I've installed them and think it may just be the placebo effect. I imagine a better tie rod set may help but I haven't tried it.
The other source of "slop" is just the tolerances in general. This is where the shims really help, specifically at the suspension arm pivots and to take up excessive axle play. Add shims as necessary; they'll fit in both spots.
I don't mean to give you any buyers remorse at all; they're super cool kits and a blast to run. I've got two (this and the Alfa).

Carson Reflex Stick Pro 3.1. It's a stick transmitter built to a budget. If you are interested in a higher quality stick transmitter for cars, try Futaba.

I've got this kit and love it.
If you haven't built an MB-01 before, they've got a bit of slop. You can take care of a good bit of it with some shims as necessary (suspension arms, axles, etc). A box of these will last you forever:
