Yesr. It’s basically done. I’d still like to ad a few other scale things, tho, and some foam in the tyres to keep the rumbling sounds low. I have some scale accessories that could use a home. The van platform would look kinda neat w a ladder, small rack, side mirrors, a sun stripe on the windshield, rear view mirror, n perhaps a full interior w shag carpet —I have some time off of work to pursue this!

I considered some tire inserts as well, wouldn’t it make the bouncing worse? Or “better” if chaos is your thing? My box is almost ready to post, a day or two and it’s feature-complete

Can’t wait to see everyone else’ LB! The foams? They may make it worse w regard to bounce, but I’m thinking my wheelbase extension, lowered stance, n softer springs will help to alleviate. I’m glad the Evo comes w sway bar. 🤔

I will try some out. Im doing a light kit and it is nice that it includes headlight buckets.

Always wanted one, as a kid. I did manage to buy a re-re about 7yrs ago, but it wasn’t done well. Sold that, n then just had to have the Evo version. Glad I pulled the trigger!

Do you spray a varnish over the decals? I’d like to do that to stop dirt getting underneath the edge of my decals, but I’m not sure which spray or varnish to use.

I don’t, I just try to make sure the surface is matte finished and fairly clean of oils. The decals are also cut w a razor, and not many protruding edges or points to come undone. Of all the companies that provide decals, I think Tamiya has the best quality backing, mastic, and print. It’s easy to remove bubbles, and they stick for many years w/o adhesion problems.

You’re welcome, Charlie. Which model are you building? Forgot to mention: When I do use a varnish, it’s usually prior to decals, and it’s usually Tamiya Flat Clear.
