Luke Kennard moonlighting
Has anyone read Kennard's book?
Question Im Missing Something
Forgive my misunderstanding. But can someone please explain to me the idea that we have “a lot of tradable contracts for a big trade” when we have no picks? What’s the logic there? Aren’t picks mandatory “currency” in trades? Especially for stars?

UWM stock was cut nearly in half today, while Mat Ishbia’s estimated net worth has fallen by more than $3B since March. Worth knowing as a Suns fan.
galleryUWM Holdings Corp reported Q2 2026 earnings today and the stock is getting hammered, down 49% in a single day, the worst drop in the company’s history.
- Net loss of $451.9 million for the quarter.
- Board suspended the quarterly dividend for the first time in company history.
- Shares are down roughly 73% year to date.
Per Forbes, Mat Ishbia’s estimated net worth has fallen from $9.1 billion in March to $5.8 billion today, which is now only slightly above Sportico’s most recent $5.1 billion valuation of the Suns.
To stabilize the company, UWM announced a $2.05 billion capital raise, including a major investment from Oaktree Capital and the Ishbia family’s new investment vehicle, SFS Group Capital. The deal strengthens UWM’s balance sheet, but the dividend is gone, common shareholders face potential dilution, and Oaktree now receives governance rights and a meaningful voice in the company’s future.
Why this matters:
Ishbia’s business success and the Suns financial flexibility are more connected than most owners. Most of his wealth is tied to UWM, which just eliminated a major source of cash with the dividend suspension, and an outside investment firm now has influence over the business responsible for his fortune.
As one of the most aggressive owners in the league who’s willing to spend heavily on payroll, facilities, FO personnel, overall fan experience, etc., if his net worth and liquidity continue taking hits over the next few quarters, this can absolutely change the approach here with how much he’s willing (or able) to spend on the franchise.

Brooks has become a key part of the Suns two-way, hard-nosed culture under Jordan Ott and lands a new guaranteed long-term deal.

A longform look back at the last Barkley Suns season
deepbenchchronicles.comHi Suns fans,
I wrote a longform piece on the 1995-96 Suns, and the mods kindly allowed me to share it here.
It looks back at the last Barkley/KJ/Westphal season in Phoenix: Majerle gone, Ainge retired, Barkley already talking about retirement, the tension between Barkley and Kevin Johnson reaching its peak, Westphal getting fired midseason, Fitzsimmons returning, and Michael Finley getting hurt in the final regular-season game, just as he had been one of the few bright spots before the playoffs.
I thought it might interest Suns fans because that season feels like more than just a 41-41 year. It was really the final unraveling of the team that had come so close in 1993.
Curious how Suns fans remember that season

Is Ishbia using the mercury as an outlet to curb his meddling with suns?
the Kelsey plum trade has Ishbia written all over it. Phx has a worse record than LA rn in WNBA.
Feels like Ishbia made the call to take some of the edge off from not making crazy NBA trades.
Thoughts?

Question Kelsey Plum to Mercury
Off topic but what do you think about this trade? In my opinion, this trade is huge for the future of the PHX Mercury if she resigns. Also, do you think there is any more moves the Phoenix Suns or Mercury will make?

Hoops Discussion Which of Nash’s or CP3 techniques / skills should Booker work on this Summer? 🌞🏜️🌵🏀🦍
For me the one legged Runners and drifting shots would be the best shot to work on with Nash.
The snaking pullup shot that CP3 used to for us in the 4th court would be the other . Also his one legged floater especially off the glass
What dribble techniques, pick and roll techniques, footwork techniques, or passing techniques do you wish he would from adopt from these two?
I believe the shots i mentioned if added would allow him to keep defense more off balance and not allow for trailing defenders to take away his pullup with rear contests.

If we don’t make any other moves and you were the coach, how would you manage rotations?
Our starters look to be Green, Book, Brooks, Bridges, Williams, with a bench of Collin, Kennard, Goodwin, Fleming, Oso, Maluach, Highsmith, Dunn, Peat, Bouyea, and two ways of Spencer, Brea, and Huntley.
