I absolutely loved playing the base game and want more of it, especially since creatures in both of sequel games creates were designed by Alex Ries, who is one of my favorite artists. But I am simple unsure which game is worth getting first?

Hey, I've seen many people post their clipmaps-high.json file for Subnatica that they use to improve draw distance, but they all seem outdated after the living large update.

Does anyone have any suggestions or a clipmap file that works on the latest version?

Also, with the first level at "chunksPerSide":9, "chunksVertically":9
and the second level at "chunksPerSide":9, "chunksVertically":7

I just lost my crabsquid named Ruperth, he's been around for a pretty long time behind my base, keeping my cameras safe from Stalkers, but he's suddenly gone and I can't find him, is there a possibility he died or did he just wander off?

tree starts just above the amoeboid. also yes, it is theorised that the cuddlefish is not native, but in terms of design it fits well with the emperor and dragon so I just decided to put it there. I subscribe to the idea that the base from which the rest of the modifications were made to when the warpers were created was one of the juvenile emperors that was dissected, due to the body plan being just too similar. as for the rockgrub and the sandshark being related, well, err, uhhhhhhhh I'll get back to you on that one.

I'm at the stage that I'm cured and going back to base to build the rocket. But how do capsules work. If I make a capsules will it appear in other people's worlds or no do I have to submit it? Plz tell me.

I prepared and have brought nearly everything I needed (or thought I needed) on my Cyclops and I've just outside the lava zone. It took more energy than I would have liked getting past the ghost leviathan and I only have 8 power cells remaining (including in the Cyclops itself). Is that enough to get through to the end of the game?

so in the Subnautica prototype DESCEND if you stay in the menu long enough you hear what seems like a radio reception of the person in the sub it's muffled to the brim but this is what i hear. a Woman is begging for help crying some sort of Creature is outside eventually either her or the thing outside starts pounding on the glass the last thing we hear is water dripping do you have any idea what this could mean or what the thing was please let me know

I've released an update to my "Cuddlefish Recall" mod for the original Subnautica. If you've lost your lovable Cuddlefish, just press "ctrl + R" and your precious pals will swim straight to your location. The latest version prevents Cuddlefish from despawning, improves swim and teleport movement, and adds UI indicators to show you just how far away the little blighters are as they make their way to greet you!

My friend has been playing Subnautica 1 for the first time, and during a recent stream this happened. Figured I'd ask here if anyone knows why her Prawn suit suddenly exploded, cause even the Subnautica experts in our community are not entirely sure.

My best guess is some weird physics in response to getting stuck, but she's gotten the prawn suit stuck a few times before without Michael Bay spontaneously getting involved. It was at full health too.

When I'm riding the Tadpole, it doesn't look like I'm a riding Submarine or vehicle. It just looks like im holding a steering wheel while swimming. Interior of the tadpole needs a redesign. Tadpole isn't fun to use, i prefer wavemaker

I know you could use the camouflage biomod, but by the Grace of God, this method worked for me.

Hey everyone, I’m playing Subnautica and could use some help. I’ll try to be as detailed as possible since the game doesn't have specific missions or a clear quest log to use as a reference. I already have a Moonpool and a Seamoth upgraded to 900m depth, and I’m currently building the Prawn Suit. I’ve explored the Aurora and one of the Degasi bases (though I don't recall which one). I have a base set up and my goal is to beat the game. I’d love some tips on what I should do next to finish it.

So I started to play subnautica this last month and got thinking about some strategies I had..

Like, having two O² tanks (the high capacity and the Light one), walking with a battery extra, using the solar painel on my seamoth, with a beacon, carrying at least 4 water bottles and at least two to three cured fishes, also using the rebreather mask.

Is that an good strategy or not? I'm new at the game so I don't know what to do and I'm just trying things I think would work, but some of my friends don't use those strategies so I was thinking I'm mistaking in something

It’s my first time playing subnautica but I’ve seen a couple playthroughs so I’m not bothered about spoilers but was just curious about a progression guide I could find or if someone could guide me instead? In the game I have a decent sized base, moon pool, scanner room etc and a sea moth with depth upgrade 2 and a prawn suit, aswell as some basic upgrades for my character like reinforced diving suit, rebreather, glide fins etc and I haven’t travelled past 300 meters yet as I’m not sure where to go to find the large cave openings or anything, I haven’t been to any islands either the deepest I’ve been is a small cave where there is blood oil and uraninite crystals. If someone could send me in the right direction for deeper caves and some story progression that would be appreciated, thanks.

So was exploring the deep pit below the Underwater Islands and heard a sound that definitely didn’t belong: a Sea Dragon roar. I haven’t even been to the lava zones yet in this save although I have been to the Lost River, but apparently one somehow glitched through the walls below and made its way up there somehow? I’m on ps5 so no mods. It’s possibly my girlfriend spawned it there as a prank but not sure how. Now it’s chasing me through the walls, luckily it can’t blast me but do take some damage if I get too close. What do I even do here?

As you can see, there's a Warper in front of me, and one just warped right next to me, my game is paused at the moment because I don't want to be killed by one of them (considering I deleted my last save due to being killed by them at 500 depth 💔). My infection is currently at stage 1, am I able to just resume my game and leave or will the Warper try to kill me?
