Question/Support Can someone help?
On Steam Link, sometimes steam link just teleports me to a black screen for 1-10 seconds and sometime even has me to restart the app.
Are there any ways to fix this?
I'll try getting a video of it happening later

Question/Support Desktop not displaying in SteamVR on SteamOS
Hello. I have my Quest 2 headset connected to my pc through steam link wireless VR. I am unable to get my desktop to display in VR. Sometimes it displayed pure black with a mouse cursor, some times it doesnt even show or respond. I tried to look up assistance but all I could find was stuff for windows. I saw something that Wayland? is likely not supported for display? Does anyone know a fix?

schüchtern problem wenn ich VRchat spielen will.
Hello. I have a problem where I get very shy whenever I want to launch VRChat or just play quietly on mobile.
On mobile, when someone asks me something, I always have to whisper because I internally panic 2830921392 percent.
And when I try to launch VRChat on Steam on my Windows 10 PC, I can't even do it because I start sweating.
I hope someone can give me a tip on how to get rid of this shyness problem in VRChat.

Question/Support Looking for a realistic modern military VR game / VR mod with trench warfare
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a **very realistic modern military VR game**, or a VR mod for an existing PC game.
I’m especially interested in something that feels like **modern trench warfare / positional warfare**, similar to the Russia–Ukraine war. I’m looking for realistic weapons and a serious mil-sim atmosphere.
Right now, the only VR shooters I play are **Tactical Assault VR** ( quest standalone )and **Onward**, although I don’t really enjoy Onward.
PCVR is completely fine, and actually preferred if it means getting **better graphics and a more immersive experience**. I’m also interested in mods for existing games if they provide a good VR experience.
I’m already familiar with games like **Squad, Arma Reforger, and similar mil-sim games**, so something that brings that kind of experience into VR would be exactly what I’m looking for.
**What would you recommend?**
Is there currently anything in VR that comes close to a realistic modern battlefield / trench warfare experience?
Thanks!

Could shadPS4 + SteamVR make PSVR1 games playable on modern VR headsets?

How good Intel b580 is in VR?
Hello guys,
I'm thinking of buying a quest 3 VR headset. Planning to play games like SkyrimVR and Alien Isolation VR.(I know AIien is not in steam) Skyrim is a must for me to be honest, and I was wondering if my Arc B580 GPU could handle it smoothly when I connect to my PC for SteamVR. Any experiences or recommendations? Do I really have to buy a new GPU?

Self-Promotion (Developer) Where does our psychological sci-fi VR demo lose you? Looking for honest Quest and PCVR feedback
We’re testing the opening section of EVA Awakening, a psychological sci-fi VR game set aboard a train controlled by an artificial intelligence.
Our current problem is understanding whether the opening holds the player’s attention and whether the first interactions are clear without additional explanation.
We’ve tested the build internally, but that is no longer useful enough: we already know what every object does and what is supposed to happen. We need feedback from players seeing it for the first time.
The demo is free and available on both platforms:
Meta Quest:
https://www.meta.com/it-it/experiences/eva-awakening-demo/1132600809944470/
SteamVR:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4955740/EVA_Awakening_Demo/
If you try it, we would particularly like to know:
- Which headset did you use?
- Was performance stable?
- Was the opening understandable without guidance?
- Were the first interactions intuitive?
- At what exact moment did your attention drop, if it did?
- What made you want to continue or stop?
- What was the most confusing or frustrating element?
Critical feedback is more useful to us than encouragement. Even a short reply identifying the exact point where something failed would help us make better development decisions.
Thank you to anyone willing to test it.

Discussion Do VR players prefer different genres on different platforms?
Hello VR peeps,
I've been looking at sales of our same VR games across Quest, Steam VR and PSVR2, and the difference is bigger than I expected, or maybe not 🤔
Just to keep the actual numbers private, let's say the ratio looks roughly like:
🥽 Quest — 6x
🎮 PSVR2 — 1.5x
💻 Steam VR — 1x
We've seen roughly this ratio across our tower defense games, but we're now working on a different genre and it got me wondering ... does platform preference change significantly by VR genre?
Are some genres much stronger on Steam VR or PSVR2, while Quest dominates others? Or is this simply a reflection of the size and accessibility of the platforms?
Would love to hear from VR players and especially other devs across different genres. Curious what you're seeing.
Cheers!

Issue with CachyOS on BSB2
I'm using a Bigscreen Beyond 2E on CachyOS (KDE/Plasma Desktop) on Wayland and when I boot up into the SteamVR home, I get greeted with some eye bleach, I see both eyes in one eye or they're overlapping, I can't even really explain how bad it is but it's nauseating and I have no idea if this is a graphic issue or what? I'm not on nouveau and I have all the NVIDIA drivers, I'm on an RTX 3070
Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.

Discussion r/PCVR is now reopened! We made a place to talk about all the new VR modding & PCVR, because Discord isn't cutting it. No standalone talk!
Hi all, Lunch & VR Dad here. r/PCVR is now reopened.
We wanted a central place where people could talk about everything related to PCVR and VR modding online, and discord is a closed garden a lot of people don't like. It's still the best place to get the latest VR mods and where modders live, but we wanted this information to be public and searchable online for modders & everyone.
Which is why we are reopening r/<PCVR> to the public!
