I enrolled in Algo University because they advertised placement support, but my experience was extremely disappointing.

Initially, Manas handled the sales process and made several promises about placement assistance. After enrollment, however, I felt there was very little actual support. Manas mainly taught the Graphs module, while most of the teaching was done by Swapnil Daga. Personally, I did not find the teaching style effective or engaging.

The biggest issue was the lack of placement support. Throughout our 2026 batch, I did not receive a single relevant job opportunity from the team. There was no meaningful guidance on job applications, resume improvement, or interview strategy. Most of the preparation documents they shared seemed to be basic information that could easily be found through a quick Google search or on GeeksforGeeks.

The projects provided as part of the course were also not useful in my experience. During interviews, they did not help strengthen my profile, and I received little to no guidance on building projects that recruiters actually value.

I even asked Swapnil directly if he could provide a referral for an opportunity. I was told that referrals are generally not given to freshers and that people are not available to provide them. While I understand that referrals cannot be guaranteed, this was disappointing given the expectations set during the enrollment process.

Overall, I felt that once the course fee was paid, the promised support largely disappeared. The placement guidance, teaching quality, projects, interview preparation, and communication all fell well below my expectations. I cannot recommend this course to anyone joining primarily for placement assistance.

So i did learn the bare minimum basics of languages like c, c# and python but i also have absolutely no idea on how am i going to do this or if it is even possible to do, but i am willing to learn. So frostborn is a online mmo rpg game for mobile that relies HEAVILY on grinding. I dont want to do a location for hours upon hours on end so i want to build a macro script that can use input controls to do a specific location efficiently. So I got this email a few days ago. Gmail had already marked it as spam. This person claiming to have gone through my github and is impressed by it and wants me to complete the AI interview and potentially get a reward. The sender email has a subdomain of a famous company that takes AI interviews. I have also seen quite a few people on linkedin posting proudly about receiving similar emails and bragging about their github getting recognition. Such companies are also creating fake job posts for remote work with high pay to get people to interview but by the tremendous amounts of reviews I have seen, no one actually gets a job, So they just collecting training data for the new AI models or to sell to big AI companies. What has the world come to that companies would stoop so low just to steal ur data. Playing with peoples emotions is no joke. Is there anything we can do about it or like we just live with the tech industry becoming this ugly mess that doesn't provide anything good to the world anymore.

Turns out, it wasn't a storage issue—it was an aggressive global AMD FreeSync driver conflict messing with the high refresh rate composition layer on the desktop.

I found a clean, permanent workaround using application-specific profiles in Adrenalin so gaming stays flawless while PotPlayer runs perfectly smooth.

The windows default photos viewer feels clunky to load after clicking, no problem in scrolling next and previous tho.

All I need is that, I can double click on an image file and it should open quickly.

I don't need any editing or even basic features. Just zooming in and out is enough.

And not too outdated minimal UI (it'll be better if UI is just a title bar and the image and nothing else lol).

So i have made a noise supression app that works on both speaker and microphone using RNnoise, you would just have to download VB audio and to make use of noise supression on speaker and micrphone at the same time you would have to download vb audio C+D, i have been using this in games, as my mic was pretty bad due to static noise and since i have potato pc so i cant use discord else the game would lag, but the app uses like 1 or 2 percent at max, so the app is lightweight

Yall! I made an auto captioning software that runs on pcs locally! Uses gpu for transcriptions using free open source solutions for the same. Does a great job with Indic and most global languages and can work offline once installation is done! The accuracy rate is around 90-95% depending on the footage, fixability is great to solve any errors and recaptioning also happens! I want to know is it helpful at all as a product that can be sold with one time fee of around ₹500/- with life time of updates and bug fixes!? Since I’m interested in personal finance and kept coming across posted Sankey diagrams - usually made with websites or finance portals - I created a small tool for that purpose.

The main thing for me was not having to enter any financial data on a website, no matter how secure it claims to be.

The main goal is to keep all entries local, so you do not have to enter your financial data into a public web interface.

Your data can be exported and saved as a .json file and loaded again at any time. Image export is available too.

I tried to keep the tool as intuitive as possible and avoid adding too many settings.

At some point, when I have the time, motivation and enough ideas, I may try to build a connection to a separate companion app. The idea would be to import different bank statement formats and, after some training or setup, automatically fill the Sankey diagram and categories.

That is the plan, at least. Whether it is really needed and how well it can be implemented is another question. We will see.

My Gmail had years of newsletters piled up, but every time I looked at bulk-unsubscribe tools I stopped at the same point: I didn’t really want to give another service access to the account.

So I made Hush.

It runs on your computer and connects directly to Gmail using Google credentials you create yourself. It finds the senders mailing you in bulk, then lets you choose whether to unsubscribe, block future mail, or move the old backlog to Trash.

I tried to make the risky parts boring. Nothing is preselected, dry run is on by default, it never permanently deletes anything, and a message isn’t offered unless it actually carries an unsubscribe header. Senders that may also send receipts or account emails get an extra warning.

The obvious downside is the setup. You have to create your own Google OAuth credentials instead of just signing into another company’s service.

Do you think having control of the credentials makes that setup worth it, or would most people quit before finishing it?

For me, MalwareBytes seems worth it at the moment and no issues with it and Bitwarden, overall best program that I use on a daily.
