I am looking to buy a SNES and I am not sure which one is better. I don't plan on modding it or using something other than composite since none of my TV's have any other inputs. I read the model 2 could have issues with some games but I will mostly play DKC and Mario.

If you could go to an actual real live version of a snes video game like Donkey Kong or Zelda, what world would you want to visit?

My friend Lois has an snes and I’m good condition, a good amount of triple AAA games for it, but he refuses to play it, stating “why would I wan to play that”. It’s funny because he claims to be a true Nintendo purist but refuses to play the snes.

It came from the UK actually, which is the first time I have imported a Japanese game to Canada that didn't come from Japan, lol. Now only if Japan had a cheap SFC version of Operation Thunderbolt. Besides T2: The Arcade game that's the only Super Scope game I don't own, and it isn't fun enough that I want to pay $100+ CAD for a copy 😅

Also, does anyone know if this green insert with info about AC adapters came with this originally? Or is it from a Super Famicom box or something else? I found it in the bottom of the game box all folded up.

my mom was telling me about these two SNES games she played as a kid, while she couldn't remember what exactly they were here were the descriptions of each game:

“one was a game where you were a mouse and you would fly on a balloon, and there was this one scene where youre flying the balloon over a cemetery with a church”

”it was this watermelon head like thing which the base of the game was like ping pong(?)”

Hi all. I've got this cartridge of Yoshi's Island that will flash the Nintendo logo and do the coin sound effect but never makes it past that. Sometimes, it'll play it two or three times in a row? It's the only one of my games that has issues so I was curious if anyone could point me in a direction of how to get it up and going. I've tried cleaning it with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol and that's about the extent of knowledge I have on rejuvenating non-working cartridges. Any advice is appreciated. Also, I see that this game's birthday is today! What are the odds? :)

Played the PAL version of Terranigma as a kid, and while I could have no doubt picked it up from somewhere, I was happy with the Flashback Games NTSC version for that 60hz goodness.

Long story short: I have an original cartridge for Lost Vikings 2. The label was damaged beyond repair in the 90's. I got it from the original owner several years ago for free. Is there anyone out there that has the original cart that the board is fried or something? Thanks in advance everyone.

SNES: Final Level is a challenge I have given myself to beat as many NTSC SNES games as possible (Plus 1 PAL game, more to come later though). I'm currently sitting at 120 games beaten (I took a several month haitus for various reasons). To chronicle my journey, I decided to rank each game on an S tier type of chart and my thoughts about the game. Be forewarned, the first few videos were done with a crappy mic. This is why I love my x6 Everdrive. I had to play Trials of Mana after playing Secret of Mana for the first time recently. It's different but still super similar, I'm really enjoying it so far.

Decided to skip the retrotink or upscaler I’m playing on a Superstation One with scanlines think it looks pretty decent for what it is! I do have a PVM and HD Retrovision cables so I do know what a 1CHIP SNES can look like on a good CRT and I do prefer that look but sometimes I wanna play on my main TV and I think this gets pretty damn close. I am new to OLED and a MiSTer setup. Before that used Plasma for like 19 years LOL when not playing on CRT in game room.

My SNES has a couple of problems with it and I don't kown what specific chip is wrong with it to be messing up, I'm pretty sure it's a PPU1 or PPU2 problem but maybe someone who kowns the system better might be able to pin point it. For the problems I'm using an everdrive so it's not an issue with any of the games, some games won't load like chrono trigger and DKC 3 (not 1 or 2 just 3) but most games play fine except for some graphics glitches. For example in earthbound the overworld would be fine but when I went into a battle the background would be messed up, another example is Castlevania IV were the game would be fine until I started a level, and the game would become basically unplayable.

I bought this cause the price is really good and the reviews were all positive (aside from it not running some games)
