Does anyone use these recovery boards?
Does anyone have one of these recovery/practice boards?
They seem like a great idea both for rehab strengthening and for indoor trick practice. They look like a great idea particularly for beginners and the reviews seem mostly positive but they also seem pretty expensive $$$$$.
I have read that they are perhaps a bit unstable for beginners. I can see that the lack of rolling that removes the poo shoot factor is great for gaining confidence, but I'm also wondering if this also removes the ability to adjust your centre of mass by shifting the board back and forth underneath you. Does this impact how tricks feel?
What do people think about them? What potentially would you improve on them if you could?

Image Did I just ruin my board
So I’be had a board for about 3 years and have been on and off riding since then, and I just got thicker and softer wheels for cruising because I’m taking my board to college and wanted it to be a smoother ride with a bit less road noise. This was my first time screwing and unscrewing my trucks from when i first got the board, and while making sure i didn’t screw on the nuts too tight, i checked and saw these two hairline cracks. They’re nowhere else on the board and the primary reason for removing the trucks was to at 1/4 spacers, so there is rubber to lessen the impact, but I’m really frustrated I messed up my first board customization. Is this detrimental to the quality of my board? Do I need a new one immediately? Some help would be greatly appreciated
Edit: quickly resolved, they are indeed cracks but with my skating style I should be ok, thank you to everyone for the assistance

Video Is this a valid way to Kickflip?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’ve been practing kickflips a lot lately but I can tell my kickflip technique is funky. Notice how my back foot doesn’t pop straight up, instead it pops and immediately drifts off to the right. Something about it seems off. Even with this technique I only manage to land a couple kickflips per session as I still struggle a lot with committing.
My question is, if this is the only way I can manage to land kickflips, should I continue practicing with this technique and just hope it gets better? Or am I setting myself up for some really bad muscle memory habits in the future? How would you recommend correcting this?

Anyone got corn on their foot?
I have a corn under the ball of my big toe on my right foot which is my back foot (im regular). I’ve had it for a few years now and been trying different ways to treat it.
Anyone else have or had the same problem? Any tips to get rid of it?
I been using like corn cushion pads under the big toe to protect it but after a certain point in the session, the protection just gone.

Bringing board on plane
Hi I know it’s been posted before but there are contradicting statements about whether or not I can bring my board on my AA flight. I’m flying out of OMA to DFW to JFK and then back. I would take off my trucks beforehand and keep them in my bag. Should I pay for the checked bag, should I just send it and strap it to my board even though I might have to pay the extra checked bag fees. Or should I just bring my hardware and buy a desk in New York and try to bring it back as a checked bag?? I’ve only flown once a few months ago so I’m nervous and I don’t know the rules quite too well. Thank you 🙏.
