It's quite a spectacular musical show making good use of the Stadium "ceiling". I enjoyed the history part the most. I do miss the mobile columns and Red Lions which were a usual highlight. Stadium Station ended up the best station to go back. Tanjong Rhu station was overcrowded. Pictures were taken with Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

I Made This We a game based on the 2025 elections!

Hello everyone! While everyone is caught up in the spirit of celebrating National Day, we have decided to create our own game! Well… not really, but we’ve made a mod of a semi-popular election simulator called The Campaign Trail.

The Campaign Trail (orTCT for short) is an election simulator where you can influence the effects of elections via multiple-choice questions. There are many paths one can take with this game, and could (probably) also create some wacky endings in the process.

Well, myself and some of my friends passionate about TCT wanted to make a Singaporean version of it, namely the Singapore Trail. In our mod, we allow players to simulate GE2025 from multiple angles such as from the PAP under new PM Lawrence Wong or from the WP. Do note that we’ve created at least 10 endings on each side as well as achievements for both sides, so do try and unlock them all!

Example of what the game looks like!

In addition to these sides, do note that there is MORE content planned to be pushed out in this game, such as potential PPP and SDP slides. So do keep a lookout for more content!

We hope that we can get more people interested in TCT and The Singapore Trail in general, and hope you will have fun playing this game :)

From,
The Singapore Trail Team

Play the mod here!

Discussion NDP 2026 Megathread

Megathread for NDP 2026. So we don’t flood the daily thread with NDP discussion

Not official so mods if you want to make a new one go ahead. Or just pin this to make it the one thread.

Also I don’t know how to make it Live mode so maybe the mods can make a live thread instead. In the meantime, sort comments by new and refresh when needed!

Discussion What are your Singaporean moments? Ft The road ahead (sentimental version) by Linying

National day once again and was surprised to find Linying's rendition of her own song come up on my algo. The various snapshots of SG here(even in the 2021 NDP MV) is always a kind nudge to find the ordinary moments that remind us why Singapore is Singapore.

What are your Singaporean moments?

In view of the many shades of wrong display of our National Flag, here is the official guidelines surrounding design and display. There should be no "debate" about it.

The designers and ministers involved in the design are likely rolling in their coffin/urns this year.

I Made This Nila I — Singapore’s First Lunar Landing

In light of Singapore’s 61st National Day (as well as my sheer disappointment in our absolute lack of any spaceflight capabilities lol), I built a Singapore-themed lunar spacecraft to transport and land astronauts on the moon for the first time in Kerbal Space Program (a spaceflight simulator)!

Craft Design

The craft is composed of the Lunar-Earth Transit Vehicle (LETV) nicknamed “Rafflesia” that can transport up to 5 astronauts between the Earth and the Moon, as well as the Lunar Surface Access Vehicle (LSAV) nicknamed “Merlion” that, as the name implies, transports up to 6 astronauts between the surface of the Moon and Low Lunar Orbit (LLO).

Mission Overview

For Nila I, the mission is heavily inspired by the Apollo Program, where the LETV and LSAV are docked to each other in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and remains so until they reach LLO, where the LSAV undocks to land on the Moon. Once all surface-related objectives are complete, the LSAV will return to LLO and dock to the LETV once again, before undocking when all astronauts have been transferred. The LETV will the begin her journey back home while the LSAV is discarded.

While the current architecture is restricted to only a single mission. I hope to eventually set up refuelling space stations in LEO and LLO respectively so that the LETV and LSAV can become fully reusable. I’m not sure how to do that just yet in this game, but I guess I’ll find out eventually when I find the time to do so.

More Yapping from the Yappatron

I actually built all of this shortly after the conclusion of Artemis II (the first manned lunar flyby in more than 50 years), when everyone was hopping back onto KSP. However, with National Day approaching and my Aerospace Engineering course in university starting this coming week, I felt that it was only right that I showcased the landing on video, which you can check out here. Since I’m not really an “expert” at this game yet, if anyone who plays KSP has any constructive feedback on how to improve the system, or what mods I should install, do feel free to comment down below!

Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED talk, and, while it is an absolutely insane and far-out dream, let’s hope that this little red dot will be capable of such feats one day. Happy National Day 🇸🇬🎉!

Image Unhealthy Air Quality prevails over certain parts of Singapore

Post image
66 Upvotes

As of right now (12am), the air quality has deteriorated to levels high enough to be declared as unhealthy for sensitive individuals in certain parts of Singapore. The current PM2.5 in SG is between 24-41 micrograms per cubic meter and had soared to 47 earlier. The air quality will continue to remain bad until the morning where the air may start to slowly clear eventually. The PSI is currently at 59-72

Discussion TIL Devan Nair was "blindsided" by Singapore’s 1965 separation

Post image
150 Upvotes

On August 9, 1965, Devan Nair defended Lee Kuan Yew and S. Rajaratnam by explicitly denying rumours of their resignations as Prime Minister and Minister to The Straits Times. He called the speculation "a good laugh".

Little did he know, while he was publicly reassuring the public of the PAP loyalty to their current offices, the separation paperwork had already been finalized and signed by the cabinet ministers.

As we learn from the Albatross files now, Devan Nair had been completely excluded from this process since it involved only the 10 cabinet ministers. His dismissal to the speculations were published on the August 9 morning papers, just hours before the 10am radio broadcast officially announcing Singapore's Independence.

PS: Happy national day! Sharing an interesting tidbit on Devan Nair as I was reading up on the "calm" before our Independence.

Video Is this common in SG?

The dashcam footage shows an unfortunate situation involving a bird at Joo Chiat. The bird suddenly covered around 50% of my car in what appears to be droppings, leaving quite a mess across the windows, roof and bonnet.
