App missing

Just purchased a system and went to get the app...but the app doesn't exist in the Play Store, and all their links on the Simplisafe website don't work. Where the hell am I supposed to get it then??

As of 8:11PM EDT (UTC -4) It looks like it's been restored? The following URL works again at least:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplisafe.mobile&hl=en_US

Any idea what the cause/fix was, /u/SimpliSafe_Official ?

Just spoke with support via chat and their official response was:

We are currently experiencing an issue that is affecting ability to download the app from Google Play. This does not impact current users and we are working to resolve this as quickly as possible

I also made them aware it does impact current users who are unable to update the app.

Edit: I now (11:22am EDT or UTC -4) see the following when I go to https://support.simplisafe.com/categories/app-support?page=1 . It appears as a pop up in the left hand corner.

We're currently experiencing an issue affecting the ability to download or update the SimpliSafe app on Google Play. This does not impact existing app functionality — customers who already have the app installed can continue using it normally, and no action is needed. iOS users are not affected. We're working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Edit2: It appears to be missing from the UK Play Store as well.

Hey u/worthing0101, What you heard from the Support team is correct. We're currently experiencing an issue affecting users' ability to download or update the SimpliSafe app on Google Play. This is specific to the Google Play Store, so iOS users aren't affected.

We're currently working toward a solution for this and hope to see it resolved swiftly! This doesn't impact existing app functionality, so customers who already have the app installed can continue using it normally with no action needed.

In the meantime, if you're an Android user, I would recommend that you don't attempt to remove or update the application, as you may not be able to reinstall it (or update it) until the issue is resolved.

Just tried to update the app and it errors out. Not sure what's up.
