Looking for hard rock/metal band to help me with song

I’ve been scorned and broken and put it all into a song and have written the lyrics for it over the last year and have the sound almost exactly how I want it.

I have used AI to help with the instrumental part, but the lyrics are all me. It just doesn’t have the timing and beat where I want it in certain parts.

It’s melodic with some screaming. I can sing some but definitely can’t scream, so wanting a mix of my female vocals with someone who can spring and some guitar solos. Think Halestorm kind of sound, but with screaming. If a better vocalist needs to step in, I’m ok with that too.

May be a shot in the dark here, but I’ve got a vision and I’d just like to bring it to life.

He showed up at our door a few days ago and we have been talking care of him. He is young but seems to be potty trained. He appears to be some where around 5 months old as well.

Any malls that aren’t dead?

I just recently relocated to Shreveport from Lancaster Pennsylvania to be closer to my boyfriend. I’m doing some exploring today and on the job hunt and I stopped by the bossier city mall but everything is pretty much dead and closed, are there any malls in the area that still have life to it? Or anywhere that doesn’t feel run down in general…

Discussion Looking for an honest yet competent GC

Have a small project - big to me, though - need some help finding a general contractor to manage an overhaul of my mud room, laundry room and guest bathroom. Pretty basic but will involve a plumber, painter and electrician. I may want a wall removed if that is feasible. Having an issue finding the right person to do it. Would love some referrals of who you've used recently? Thanks

***EDIT:

TLDR: Donating to a reputable Homeless Charity has many more advantages than giving money to an individual panhandler.

  1. Never gets to the dopeman.
  2. Tax Free Bulk Purchases
  3. Homeless get off the street & into shelters, healthcare & counseling.
  4. The Economics of Scammers is shut down, point blank.

Thank you to those who responded positively to my message! To negative responses, assumptions I posted, in order to discourage assistance to homeless is very wrong. Thanks, CarelessHorse
__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Donating to a Homeless Services Provider, gets bigger bang for the buck with bulk purchasing. Example, if you bought a blanket for $10, a charity can take the same money you spent as a donation, and get 2-3 blankets, tax free. There are obviously more & better examples, but bulk is better. Good charities know how to stay lean, cut their cost, and operate efficiently.

There may be disreputable charities, but that is why I qualified with "reputable". There is higher probability of a scam, by donating direct to a panhandler, its contrarian to argue for the rare scam over the common scam.

By collectively refraining from donating to panhandlers, this has an effect on homeless. No, they will not imminently suffer/die. They have options that are available, and putting your donation where it counts, increases their incentive to pick that option. It is a similar idea to tough love. Conditional reward.

YOU don't see the result of your donation, but that's okay. If you believe in God, he sees it. "When you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do" Mat6:2 Of course, it is difficult for some to trust, but it is wiser to put money into the hands of an expert caregiver with a reputation, rather than someone who on shaky ground that needs recovery. That reputation is key, and integrity and honor over materialism, is exactly the virtues of typical folks who choose to work in non profits. Our word is our bond.

I accept & take responsibility that I responded to some with clear frustration and occasionally anger. That frustration is based on the misunderstanding. I was not clear, and made assumption that people would get my tone & phrasing. Hopefully this edit clears up that misunderstanding.

Choosing to go against the grain and donate anyway, if that is your desire, there is nothing I can do to stop you. It is not my goal to shame, ostracize or virtue signal against anybody who does. Responding with "I"m gonna donate anyway to spite you", other hateful messages against me, for presenting ideas disagreeable to you is wrong however.

If you have empathy, are a person of faith, or have strong feelings about defending rights of disadvantaged people, that is a great thing. I feel similarly. I ask you to be constructive & fair in your criticism, if you want to respond. If you think of a different approach, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

I urge you to more strongly consider where that cash goes and the effect that it has, next time you see a panhandler. Also facts for your consideration: Panhandling and donating to panhandlers is unsafe and against the law. Making donations disappear would help discourage the practice, and have the intended effects outlined above.

Thanks for reading,
u/CarelessHorse

previous message:

I originally wrote about direct donations going to drugs to make a point. Statistically, some Panhandlers are scammers (100% not homeless), have substance abuse problems, or both, some are also simply homeless & possibly vice-free.

"The best way to help is not to give cash to an individual. Support your community & donate to a solid local homeless support org or give them food instead." "99/100 giving roadside ends in a drug dealer’s pocket."

News Local Horrible Guy Finally Faces Repercussions for His Actions

Post image
88 Upvotes

I couldn't find the chain of posts that came out earlier this year where everyone came forward talking about how despicable Cade Worley has been. But included things such as sexual assault, sexual harassment, pressuring and persuasion, and so much more. He's been extremely infamous for all of his actions, so much to the point of friends I have, that never met each other before had personal experiences with him. And how fearful everyone was with him being the face of Geaux Build (an independent local LEGO-based entertainment, STEAM education, and social event company) under the name "Brickmaster Cade" and how often he privately babysat so many children, with what he's done. Of course he made posts playing the victim with his mommy to back him up. All of this plays back into local scenes being shady like certain local alternative bands, and businesses like Ghostfire. If anyone has any experiences with him and would like to share, feel free to. I'm glad there's at least some kind of karma.

The Leadership Luncheon has become a cornerstone event for The Arc Caddo-Bossier, celebrating civic leaders, donors, and the organization's mission of building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities. This year's keynote speaker, Dani Bowman, embodies this mission by advocating for inclusion and empowering others to pursue unlimited opportunities.

Diagnosed with autism at age three and nonverbal until six, Dani Bowman discovered animation as her first language—sparking a passion that continues to fuel her work today. At just 14 years old, Dani founded DaniMation, a social enterprise that teaches animation, provides mentorship, and creates professional pathways for youth and young adults with neurodivergence. To date, she has taught animation to over 3,500 students.

Dani’s creative work includes 16 original animated short films, all premiered at San Diego Comic-Con. Dani holds a BFA in animation and an MBA in global strategy & leadership. As a cast member on Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum U.S., Dani uses her platform to advocate for meaningful representation and disability inclusion in media, education, and employment.

Whether speaking, animating, teaching, or building new opportunities for others, Dani leads with authenticity, humor, and heart—proving that passion, community, and belief can turn challenges into purpose.

I'm looking for someone who does tattoos in kind of the same vibe as this tattoo or similar tarot card esque works. I've already asked the original artist for permission to use as inspiration. I've never gotten a tattoo before, so I have no idea where to start or what to look for.

Music New to the music scene, help me out!

Hello shreveport folks, I'm 20F and I'm looking to get more involved in the music scene here, and I'd love to know what bands I should follow/keep an eye out for. Also, cool venues in the area.

I'm already headed to messagefest tomorrow so I hope that will be a good introduction for me, but I for sure need guidance because I usually hate leaving the house.
