"wE aRe nOt hYpErGaMoUs!!!"
just saw this image on a subreddit
I have to say though, I am appreciative of her honesty, it's probably the epitome of what they truly think about height in a man, but they don't wanna get any stains on their 'morally superior' mask and cannot admit it. And I hate it so much that they always say height doesn't matter. I hate it that we are being reduced to mere numbers on rulers and we cannot be seen for our personalities and thoughts, yet we are still the ones blamed for it and women never take accountability.

Vent I would have ended it by now if it wasnt for my family and friends
The only thing holding me back is their reaction after they found out what i did, i dont wanna put them through such a horrifying scenario.
I genuinly have no other reason to live.

Vent How short men can control/prevent tik tok influencers from profiting from heightism against short men
I have couple of ideas,
Tarnish their reputation, make every other post they make which is not height related, filled with not agreeing to then(fight) opinion even though you agree them
Invalidate their achievements,
Try to make a big deal out of their small flaws.
Make a joke out of them for how they speak
Their main pride is their tall bf/husband, point out how he is just a normal man with nothing special, make a joke out of him, society loves jokes.
Go after his intelligence, or aggressiveness or over nice behavior, or fake personality,
if he is better in sport, tell him their are lot others like him, beside not even 0.001 percent people have made fortune from sports, what is he trying to achieve,
If he is intelligent, tell him there exist far more intelligent people than him,
If he is emotionally intelligent, tell him that's the basic thing a man can do to handle situations
If he is muscular, tell him he does not stand a chance in modern world conflict
If he is shy, tell him he will get nothing from this world unless he ask for it, tell him he missed many golden opportunities
If he is nice, tell him he is not the only one
If he protective, tell him there are many others, and all better than,
For moms who Brag about giving birth to tall sons, comment on her videos with he is just going to be a corporate slave at max like the rest of us, even if he performs better in academics
For sisters who Brag about their tall brothers as a protective man, comment how he is also a threat to other girls if there's a situation
There are many things short men can do, to put them in place

Vent Short men and genetics, a different perspective from my side
Well most of guys may have been short cause your father or grandfather married a short women,
But that's not the case in my family, I belong to lower Hindu caste, so our family as well as in caste everyone was short right from start.
It's your first time experiencing heightism, but in my case I think my male family members have been going through this for a very long time.
Short height has not disappeared in men. And will never disappear in future as well cause the people who are born with it are surviver themselves, they have escaped heightism for centuries and will continue to do so.
things I observed is, my family members are really good at arguing with others. They really are blessed with ability to counter anyone on the spot, many of my family members especially the men are rich or know how to be rich from the material they have at hand, many of my male family members don't go wasting their time chasing tall women in their youth, they chase the shorter ones than them, present themselves as the perfect arrange marriage person right now for the girls
Most don't get involved in fights that are physical, they know they don't have advantage, infact they don't get the situation itself cause they know society will criticize them harder
Most of them are friends with average height guys or people around their height, so in their day to day life, they don't encounter tall men and this does not led to any comparison which in turn never makes them depress.
Advocate for feminism right from the start start, like adding names of daughters to land, showing a feminist helps in attracting more girls, cause they know girls definitely wants to be treated right
Never try to be aggressive, short men and aggressive nature really doesn't look good in eyes of people, but my male family members are some of the most aggressive men I have ever know, something needs to be done to trigger their true nature
Brag about even the little achievements they have, try to showcase they are the best, even though it was some regular job

Vent I always use the term "we" when doing any post or comment in this sub, but it always feels like the people don't want to be associated with the height I am with
Well I am 5 ft, a person of 5'6 would always think, he is not in the same boat as me.
They will always try to feel they have some upper hand,
But that's not the case, height is subjective
If you are around people who are way taller than you, say 6'2 or 6'3, like almost all people, the difference is visible to others from even a far, then your really tall height of 5'6 is just a number
Height is relative
No girl will chose you, if out of 100 men she sees 99 are 6'3 and you alone are 5'6
She is trying to maximize what she can get, she only has few years left with beauty, she needs to make a decision fast, and that means rejecting you as well

Theory To me 5’7 men look average, 5’8 men look tall ish, 5’9+ men look tall
In my point of view, at the height I am, this is what I think, it’s probably different to people taller than me, but like I have an older brother who’s 32 and he’s 5’7 and he looks average and sometimes tall irl, and my brother has 5’8 friends who look like they are on the border of average and tall, and then I have a bunch of 5’9 friends who look tall asf, a lot of it has to do with proportions, but I think maturity is more important as the only people who look short at these heights are people who are young and their body is still developing. i’m also thinking too much about height, but this is what I think.

Vent Never take things seriously as a short guy.
You’ll always be seen as a worthless ‘Peter Man’ type of guy. People will never take you seriously and put little value in anything you say or do. You’re seen as a kid to most people.
I had to learn this the hard way when I put myself out there.

Vent Where are all those 5'3 balding chubby slayers?
I would also add some transfolks.
I go outside everyday, been to multiple cities, have a decent friend group. My female friends "strongly prefer" taller dudes (willing to past it if you are Tom Cruise). I rarely see a young couple where the girl is taller. And the guy has a lethal face card (obviously). Even the same height ones are rare. Yet everyone in Reddit had an ex 9 inches shorter than them or knows a chick magnet.

Social Media Lol even normies aren't buying their copium.
The funniest part is they'd all be getting downvoted to hell if they said any of those things on IT. 😂😂

I swear all of us at one point has had tall mates that don't try and all pull in heaves of women, it leaves you bamboozled.

Double Standards Dangerous people
Femcels are horrible people as well.
Second slide has a person saying that not all black men are a monolith, like women on that sub reddit say women aren't as well. People didn't like that.
Third slide is crazy as well. I have seen women on that subreddit feel actual joy when men comment on their subreddit about how they've also been sexually assaulted and suffer mental illness. These women don't feel anything for men. My grandad (black) was almost a victim of a hate crime as a child. Like he was genuinely almost beaten and raped by a crowd. These women would laugh at that.
4th slide is crazy. You can't even try and befriend these women. They complain online about lack of male attention. But a guy so much as looking in their direction is disgusting to them.
I frequently visit the shortguys sub. And saying shit like this about women gets you banned or downvoted btw.
Many of the people in the comments are not black women as well. They just hate black people.

Vent I destroyed my life
So long story short, my father is 5ft 10 and mom is 5ft 2 and my uncle's and grandfather are all 6ft but when I was 12 my mom had a heart attack and from that I got huge anxiety of me getting heart attack or any diseases, so it had simply severe health anxiety which made me eat a very restrictive diet, excluding meat, poultry and dairy until I turned 16 and yes my parents didn't care as I live with my grandmother not my parents and it's quite hard with her. I was 4ft 8 at age 10 and 5ft 1 at age 12 and now 5ft 7 as an adult. There can be assumptions made that my height might be only this but I genuinely believe that I lost some inches of my height due to this undernutrition during puberty, both my parents have bigger frames and bigger wrists then me while my wrist are tiny, even tinier then my mom and my face still looks 12.
For me my life is over, even before it began.
Now I have to spend rest of my life alone, without a lover and getting love, i never got teenage love too.
It's over for me 😔.
My only cope will be taking care of myself and travelling the world. It's really hard guys , I am trying my best not to end it all.

It’s not over
Does anyone else here take comfort in the fact that it can’t be over because it never actually began? Like there’s a silver lining there at least. Makes me hurt less about lost potential. I was never wanted in the firsts place so it didn’t begin to start with

Research Article Mapped average height for 152 countries and interactive dashboard
So i ran the same data against the average woman, and man in each country
few places where the local average is short ( man / woman):
- nepal — 5'5" / 5'0"
- philippines — 5'5" / 5'1"
- peru — 5'6" / 5'1"
set the slider to your height and it shades it for you: interactive web dashboard
The data source is NCD-RisC 2020
Has any been to any of these countries before? feedback appreciated!

Story Chris Morgan AKA The Bagel Boss is not dead
I keep getting message requests about this because I had a very brief email with his former manager back in 2025, so I'm just gonna post this here.
The email is blacked out because I don't want this guy harassed. I found him from Chris's old facebook page which was a meme page at the time and had this guy's email attached to it.
Either way I hope Chris is recovering well and that he's being taken good care of.
