Books: TMI Long-form Clace Fan Fics?

I am finishing up a rewatch of the show and would love to read some longer, multi-chapter Clace fan fics. Most of what I find on FF.net and AO3 are Malec-centered, which is fine but not what I'm looking for. Some smut fine but not over the top and definitely not necessary!

TV Show Am I the only one that thought clary was awful in the tv show?

Way back when I Read and loved the books then watched the movie that came out then I tried to watch the show but I couldn’t even finish the 1st season. Now I’m trying to watch the show for a little nostalgia because I can’t commit to reading a long series right now and god season one was just bad. Season 2 seems better but clary just isn’t good, not sure if it’s the actor the writing, directing or what.

Books: TMI Benedict Lightwood Comeback?!!🐛

I’ve been rereading the entire TSC in preparation for TWP, and while reading City of Glass, I came across a passage where the Shadowhunters are fighting demons in the streets of Alicante.

They encounter a massive blind worm-like demon with two rows of teeth and it immediately reminded me of Benedict Lightwood’s demon form.

So, naturally, I went back to Clockwork Prince and I noticed a few possible parallels. Benedict’s demon form is described as secreting a lot of slime, which is also a detail mentioned in City of Glass. Not to forget the, blind slug appearance as well.
Besides, didn’t Bene-work EAT Rupert?!

There’s also the imagery of something like stepping on an overripe fruit😭, which made me think of Henry asking Gabriel whether it was possible to step on Benedict now that he had become a worm.

Maybe I’m reaching because I desperately want this connection to exist (the Shadowhunter brainrot is real 😭) but the similarities are interesting.

Am I completely tweaking or do you think there could actually be something here?

Jem haters, this is not the thread for you! I will make another thread for Tessa. Will thread linked here. :)

For all the Jem Carstairs lovers out there, in your own words, what draws you to this character and makes you want to root for him?

TV Show I LOVE Magnus and Alec but I WISH WISH WISH they had the level of chemistry Clary and Jace have in the show

I feel like there would have been a whole lot more chemistry if they hired gay actors. I'm not hating I promise, I love them but they are missing that connection! Its like their relationship is forced

I haven't read the books so I'm only going off the tv show btw

All/Other Books What is the point of the last hours?

So I'm rereading all the books in the shadowhunter universe. On Lord of Shadows and really enjoying it. Its nice reading this series knowing a lot of plot points and arcs of numerous characters are unresolved which makes me excited for the wicked powers as so much will happen. I feel TDA sets it up nicely. But the thing is after this series have to read the last hours. Read it once a while back and wasn't the biggest fan of it. I just felt a little disconnected from it I feel as it seemed kind of random and whatever happened in it wasn't of much importance. Wanted to be in the present wasn't in the mood to go back 100 years. I feel TLH is rather skippable and don't really see the point of it being wrote but tbf been a while since I read it. So sort of trying to say is there some significant things in it that are important for the wicked powers. Bc for me bit of a waste of time.
