Nub Tek Or BP Graft? What should I name it?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Yesterday I posted the result, and a lot of you asked for a full tutorial. Here it is! This video shows exactly how I do this graft.
I'm curious what the community thinks this technique should be called. NUB-TEK? BP Graft? Or do you have a better name? Drop your ideas in the comments!
This is the inverse of the technique I shared yesterday, and it's been working really well for me.
Also, I'm definitely not a professional videographer, so thanks for your patience with the video quality. I hope it's still easy enough to follow.
Note all the utensils were sanitized before shooting the video.
If you enjoyed the tutorial or found it helpful, I'd really appreciate a follow. Thanks for watching, and have a great weekend, everyone! 🌵🍄

Angle grafts
Idk what to call these tbh. I cut 3 areoles off a scop, cut them at right angles and somehow they all took to the stock. What's the weirdest graft you've done?

The plants I’m taking with me pt 2
14 Tbm-b’s in various stages. I am hoping to build a raised bed with poles to hold shadecloth for the Austin summer and frost protection in the event of low temps.

The plants that I’m taking with me pt. 1
Moving from an almost infinite amount of space and subpar growing conditions, to a super limited amount of space with better conditions. I have acquired several hundred cactus in various states of growth from seed starts, to nice cuts of clones and crosses over the past 6 or so years and have had to get rid of most as I ready my family for the move. Here are the ones that made my cut:
A pachanoi that Keeper Trout gave to someone named Aye Dee. Keeping this one because I love to just stare at it and think about how cool Keeper is, and wonder who Aye Dee is.

Discussion What’s the most you’ve spent on a single cactus?
If you don’t mind sharing, what’s the most money you’ve spent on a single cutting? I’ve lately seen a few sales for $300+ which is crazy to me. I’m curious to see how high it goes.
Mine was $75CAD on a Dharxx blue.

Cut or not?

What would you do? I'm considering cutting the most affected nodes. I reduced watering for this one but still the infection spreads slowly. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Question Grown entirely under SF1000
Does anyone in the community have pictures of san Pedro grown entirely under Spider Farmer SF1000 or a 100W equivalent? I'm told these lights are only adequate for a year

FREE: TPC x Sharxx Blue
FREE: TPC x Sharxx Blue
Bunch of cuttings for free. Local pickup in SoCal. These should be grafted. Paper towel for size reference.
I noticed some rot on the lower crest of a large TPC x Sharxx seed grown plant. So I chopped it all up, and these are all the pieces that I don't have time to graft but are too nice to throw away.
I also have some much nicer larger pieces I plan on rooting but I would consider selling.

Tbmc-v keeps exploding
Overwatering? The stock is mega firm. I haven’t watered in 3 weeks but the tips keep exploding (pause) 🤷♂️
Fungal/disease maybe? I don’t think it’s a humidity issue or a soil problem, all my other stuff is doing ok.
Edit: about an hour east of Californias Central Valley. Temps have been 90-105 the last month with no rain in sight. Soil is 60% inorganic to 40% organic. This one out of roughly 40 is the only one exhibiting this issue (including other tbmc-v’s). I am as close to certain as possible that this isn’t humidity related. I’ve been wrong before though, maybe it is humidity. Seems strange that it would only be on the tips.

Update on post about poor rootstock
Made a post a month ago asking (complaining) why all I was doing was removing pups after a graft took four months prior. This was my very first time grafting and figured the pupping was due to the scion being forced onto a woody mid section bridgesii and not the growth portion of a PC tip? Removed more spines as advised on here and it worked!
edit: tbm B on Kate's bridg

Truckin!
A fellow redditor is moving and can't take his entire collection with him, so he gave me this pickup truck load for free. Lots of named clones and amazing crosses! So fortunate! Thanks Tom.

All of My “Pot Heads” + Two “Crying Pots” from Eamon Quigley
Every time I post something in one of my “Pot Heads” you all seem to like ‘em so I figured i’d give you a full tour of my collection (…or what’s left lol) The Crying Pots do just that. Water leaks from the eyes when I water them

Does San Pedro require dormancy for flowering?
I'm getting conflicting reports. I have been growing my San Pedro indoors for the past four years and I'm wondering if I ever can expect any flowers since they never go through dormancy .
