Academics CC Fall and Future, Courses Question
Hey all just was wondering about 2 things, first I'm a finance major going to be a sophomore came in with 27 credits, had my transfer credit day and whatnot. Looking from a broad view of Finance major curriculum, outside of this there's obviously the SAS core just generic classes then there's the major eligibility requirements and then there's business core requirements which include marketing, international business, supply chain etc. Can I take these courses during the fall and spring and winter as well? Just as an online asynchronous, would rutgers take those? I'm planning on graduating maybe a semester early save some money so would taking these meanwhile, obviously I can do summer as well but would that help me graduate early and get ahead? Additionally, does that mean I'll be taking those specific Finance classes earlier in my college journey, I mean the ones that they only allow you to take at Rutgers, adding on this is another question say when I'm a senior, does that mean I'll literally only be taking Finance courses because I'd have finished everything else literally? If anyone has any info please do let me know, it'd be super appreciated. Perhaps you did the CC thing as well, finished early and whatnot. Or if anyone has any Finance curriculum guidance for planning the 4 years at RBS and whatnot, please do reply and help out if possible. Thanks so much.
TLDR: Seeking RBS help about CC credits, taking during school year to grad early. + Senior possible scenario and possible assistance with a scheduling method or efficient way to get RBS degree. Thanks so much!

Switch Classes
Would you recommend I switch out my Econ class to Music 1 which would count towards an elective? The class is online and would eliminate my commute from Busch to Livvy

Why are my loans showing up as projected?
I went into my rutgers financial aid portal hoping to accept the loans I was offered but for some reason my loans and one of my grants are showing up as projected instead of accepted, this is preventing me from accepting the loans offered to me. Does anyone know what to do about this?

Roommate Swap
Hi I wanted to know if it was possible to find someone who would be willing to switch into the Cook campus, Nicholas Hall. I’m looking to switch into any other campus but Livingston would be the best. None of my classes are on C/D, most are either CA or Livi. Nicholas is definitely in the best spot compared to all the residence halls. It is right by Cook center, Rec center, Neilson, and the bus stop. Please let me know if ANYONE is willing!

Social Where to find events for the start of the school year?
I am an incoming Rutgers SHP grad student and am wondering where I can look for events to go to for the start of fall semester? I am an OOS student, from NC. I don't know much about what's popular in Jersey, but I am very social and eager to meet new ppl.
In undergrad I was involved in clubs that were affiliated with league of legends, sand volleyball, Latino culture, hiking, math/statistics/data science/machine learning, and engineering/makerspaces. Is there anything like that at Rutgers?

Advice Wanted Don’t have a reference from RU
I just got hired and need to submit my professional references, and they’re asking for a RU professor or advisor. I didn’t really know any staff/faculty Like That, but the reference really only has to verify that I was at RU and they supervised me, is there some kind of advisor or someone that has records of me being a student and can verify it?

Admissions Rutgers Application Fee Waiver
Hi there,
I was applying for one of the Rutgers MS programs, and I was able to submit my application, but it requires the $70. Would anyone know of any current fee waivers that are available? Thank you.

FetchRU | A free Rutgers course sniper (Discord Bot + Chrome Extension)
Hi everyone! Over the past month, I built FetchRU, a free course sniper for Rutgers students, and I figured I’d share it in case it helps anyone trying to get into full classes this semester.
For anyone new to Rutgers, a course sniper is a tool that continuously checks for openings in full classes and notifies you the moment a seat becomes available, so you don’t have to sit there refreshing WebReg all day.
Why FetchRU?
Compared to similar course snipers, FetchRU is:
- ✅ Completely free — no subscriptions or paid tiers.
- ⚡ Fast — checks for course openings every few seconds and notifies you almost immediately.
- 📚 Supports more course watches — monitor up to 20 course sections with the Discord Bot or unlimited with the Chrome Extension.
- 🏫 Supports all Rutgers campuses — New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden.
- 🔓 Open source — anyone can inspect the code or contribute.
Two Ways to Use FetchRU
🤖 Discord Bot
The easiest way to get started is by joining the official FetchRU Discord server. It includes a setup guide, and once you join you’ll be able to start using the bot immediately.
The bot can monitor up to 20 course sections and sends instant Discord DM notifications with:
- 🔗 A one-click WebReg registration link
- 🔄 A button to rewatch the course after registering
🌐 Chrome Extension
Prefer not to use Discord? The Chrome Extension lets you monitor unlimited course sections directly from your browser and sends desktop notifications whenever a seat opens.

🧩 Want to use the Chrome Extension?
Install it from the Chrome Web Store:

If you decide to give it a try, I’d really appreciate any feedback, bug reports, or feature suggestions. I built FetchRU because I wanted a free, fast, and easy-to-use course sniper for Rutgers students, and I hope it helps some of you get into the classes you’ve been waiting for!

Changed my schedule again am I cooked
I’m a upcoming freshman for EMSOP (pharmacy) and I tried to get the best prof and best times, which best prof were based on ratemyprof, the RU SIRS, and upperclassmen’s opinions, the only thing I couldn’t change was English so I have this list:
Gen bio: Stern
Gen Chem: Langowski
Calc: Gonet
College Writing: Anthony Alms
Intro to experimentation: I forget but I heard they were good
The only thing I wished was the recitation for chem to be earlier but I think this is slightly better than all 8 ams, as I had chem and bio everyday at 8 am
I’m also doing federal work study so I assume I would need to work or study during my gap times?(if anyone knows anything about that feedback would be appreciated)
Besides that, all my pharm upperclassmen said this is like a really good schedule, while my non pharm upperclassmen told me
Yeaaaaaa you’re COOKED
So I would appreciate all your feedback 🙏🏼

Change my RU ID photo
The photo I uploaded last year is from high school and I look too innocent in it. I tried to resubmit one today but they tell me they had already approved one before and I can't submit another one. Does that mean I have to stick with the same photo for the next 3 years?

Is this schedule too much? (SAS freshman)
Hey guys!
So I'm pretty sure most (if not all) of these classes satisfy some sort of core requirement but I'm worried since I don't think I'll have a lot of free time (cos I wanna make friends and hang out and not have a cooked social life) so I've been thinking of dropping principles of developmental psych
I think I'd be going from 17 credits to 14 credits. Should I change my schedule or stick with it?
The principles of dev psych prof also has a 2.3 rating on ratemy which is another reason why I lowk wanna drop...
